RappBM Registered User Posts: 1 (8/9/03 2:16 am) Reply	T-Sgt John G Rapp I Co. 289th Infantry I am looking for any information, anecdotal or otherwise, about my grandfather, John Rapp. He served with I Co. of the 289th Infantry from March of 1943 to January of 1945. I know many of his "war stories," including how he came to be wounded by a sniper bullet near Grandmeril, Belgium. I have his discharge papers and decorations, but have little else of his personal effects from the war years. Regrettably, John passed away in August of 1992 from congestive heart failure. He was 62.
