TTI headers
Are they worth it? What brand do you all use if not them. I hear they fit the bvest, don't capture the starter, and work well w/ Edelbrock heads and their angled plugs. Do they fit w/ the mini starter? Thanks.

Re: TTI headers
I installed a set of tti headers on my 69 383 RR. I don't care what brand you use they are all a PITA. Mine would not seal with the gaskets they provided. I ended up using fel-pro 1414 instead. TTi uses a spacer on the left side to aid in clearing the starter. On that side I had to use one gsket to the head and two between the spacer and the header. The starter was still tight. I had my starter rebuilt and then put a heat shield over it. They also did not allow the acutation of my kickdown. A little denting would fix. Some of the tube turn back tightly along the side and make it really hard to get to bolts. Performance was great. I also have their exhaust system which I like really well. As big of a pain as it was, when I finished my car it was too original and the headers were out of place. I pulled them off and went back to HP manifolds. Good Luck

Re: TTI headers
I'm looking at the tri-y type headers that I belive are sold by Doug Thorley. These have a chrome plate finish and seem to be a good quality as well.

Re: TTI headers
I agree that all are a PITA. The guy that had my car before me didn't even put the top starter bolt in because it was so awkward to get in. I used a dog bone to put it in and it still took 20+ minutes to tighten. Still worth the performance gain, though...

Re: TTI headers
I used the 2" CPPA headers on my 440 Demon. They ate spark plug boots like no tomorrow, and the starter was a pain, whether it be the mini starter or not. The mini starter DID require a slight ding in the CPPA's primary tube despite Mopar Performance tech line's insistence to the contrary.
The TTI headers look alot better, IMO

In my own little mixed up world
