 TableclothsHello there! You ever want to use a nice tablecloth, but are afraid of it getting dirty?  It works well to take a large, flexible, CLEAR piece of plastic, cut it the size of a tablecloth, and lay it on top of your tablecloth on the table. This way, after dinner clean up is very easy (just wipe the plastic as you would a table), and you can still enjoy your nicest tablecloth. This is what we started doing; it works very well and looks nice, though I suppose you might want to still remove the plastic for a VERY formal dinner. I don't know where this type of plastic can be bought; my dad got ours from the boat factory he works at.  Atlanta |

Hello!
We buy our plastic at Wal-Mart in the craft department. I think they have it on a big roll with some other table cloths. You just pull of however much you want, and then the lady cut's it. Yes, I agree! It is VERY useful in our house! We would be washing our table clothes after every meal if we didn't have that plastic! ~*~Shannon~*~  |

Re: Tablecloths I think I have seen this kind of plastic at my local fabric mart actually. I believe they have the clear and they also have some with pretty designs on them.

Re: Tablecloths Thanks for the idea Atlanta. I have heard of that before and since I have a lot of tablecloths in my hopechest....I'll keep that in mind I'm wondering if you can't buy that plastic at Walmart in the tablecloth section. Re: Tablecloths I love my clear plastic tablecloth!! I have bought mine by the yard at the local Amish community but recently our Walmart started selling plastic tablecloth by the yard - as well as plastic lace tablecloth, etc. Hopefully every one of your Super Walmart's have them!! Enjoy, Kim |
