Tanner Walle
Ever heard of him? he's a local artist here and really, really a nice guy. and because of the whole local thing we usually hang with him before and after his shows. and he's coming to Ryan Montbeau with us next week.
anyway, besides the usual myspace and ezboard, he's got a new cd coming out. you may remember when he opened for Mraz, but he's still only 23 and his music is growing up too.
now i taped his show the other day, but there was so much of the new CD played that night, that i'm not sure he wants it out there yet, so here's something i am sure he doesn't mind being posted.

From just that one track, I can't really give you a definitive response. He has skills, but I'm not sure if he's any different from the other "guys paying guitar" that I've listened to.
I'll listen to a few other things before I make any decisions, though.

true. it's extremely difficult to standout with just a guitar solo.
tanner's growing a lot. his new CD ( i went to the recording studio to listen to some of the tracks) is quite a departure for him. he's concerned that people expecting the same old Tanner won't like it enough.
i was telling him that when i would listen to old matt nathanson recordings i would fast forward through the songs to listen to the banter, but that he's gotten so much better that i don't do that anymore.
i'm slicing up the show now, so i'll go ahead and upload it here anyway.
