I noticed two things and one is a real obvious blooper in "UFO Convention."
In the scene with Liz and Jennifer at the crashdown, they are talking and Liz is filling a plastic container with sweet and low. She puts the container back on the counter and its full, the camera cuts to Jennifer and it's half full, it cuts back to Liz it's full. If you watch that scene you can see the container full and half-full. It's kind of funny actually.
And Tina you mentioned the lighting differences that you noticed in Ask Not. Well, they've done that before, in this episode. Max and Hubble are driving in his jeep and it looks like its almost twilight. By the time Max pulls off to the gas station, it's completely dark in a few of the scenes. I think they ran out of time and didn't take care of the lighting continuity.
Re: The Convention
Good catch about the lighting, Marice, I guess I just figured it took them a while to get where they were going (gas station)...
I thought of another blooper for this episode yesterday--
Here's the beginning of episode synopsis from Crashdown.com:
Quote: "Episode begins outside the UFO Center, which is hosting Roswell's Tenth Annual UFO Convention. Someone dressed in a green alien costume is handing out flyers to people while staring across the street at Liz, who is serving customers seated in front of the Crashdown."
Now, as we all know...the UFO Center is NOT across the street from the Crashdown! In real life as well as in any other episode! But all of a sudden it IS in this episode! Such as in last Monday's episode (Ask Not) when we see Michael (from above) running across the street towards the UFO Center at night (when he goes in to try to steal the alien artifact Brody has)...the Crashdown is nowhere in sight across the street! And in T,L,&V when Max & Tess kiss outside the Crashdown there's a shoe repair across the street--not the UFO Center. Anyway, just something I thought of/noticed.
Re: The Convention
I noticed that too when I watched that episode. At the time I thought, oh well, maybe the UFO Center is supposed to be across the street from the Crashdown, but then I realized that in other episode it's not.
~Neeners~, you're getting as good as Midwest Max at finding bloopers.
Re: The Convention
Ryal, I don't know about that (getting as good as Midwest Max)! I don't have all the Season 1 eppys on tape to go back and look at for bloopers. I just go off memory mostly. I'm kind of into detail (call it the anal-retentive side of me), so I tend to notice little things like that in both TV and movies--like when a woman's hair keeps switching from behind her ear to NOT tucked behind her ear in several shots of a scene...I notice little things like that. Guess that's part of my knack for noticing bloopers.
The Convention
Neeners! Don't put yourself down! You've done a fine job finding those bloopers - and none of mine ever have pictures! Welcome to the anal-retentive club!!
BTW, this is one of the 3 episodes I never saw (late-comer, caught up over the summer and they never repeated this one), but I heard it was one of the best.
Re: The Convention
Thank you, Midwest Max! about the anal-retentive club! And, yes, this was a great episode, sorry you missed it. Perhaps someday we'll get lucky and they'll decide to release them all on tape or something. I only have a few on tape from last season and didn't think to tape them over summer either...what was I thinking?!

Funny comments from us - almost a year ago already
Anyway, I've seen the ep ( ) and found a blooper. When Jen is telling Liz about Larry's obsession, she says they stopped at the Crashdown for breakfast the day Liz got shot. How many people eat burgers for breakfast? That's what Liz served them in the pilot.
