The Forge of Hephaestus
Hephaestus swirled into his forge with an almost vocal sigh of relief. The Olympians did not comfort him much, and he was far more at home here, where he belonged. Though his stay, at the moment, was to be brief.
He wandered about the forge, taking in its sights and smells. More than anything, he needed this time to think, and to decide upon his next actions. The request from Hera, more than anything, seemed to set him ill at ease. Though the appearance...and disappearance...of Aphrodite was little less than upsetting as well, it was to be expected. He would have to tread carefully, with both, and be cautious.
At last, Hephaestus stopped in the main area of his forge, which was a spectacular room to say the least. Objects of great beauty and skill were strewn about the place as so much fodder...and plenty more would still be produced by the god. Taking a look about, Hephaestus smiled, the memories of his efforts calming his troubled soul...though not entirely. At length, he seemed to strengthen his resolve...or give in to temptation, one, and faded once more, presumably off to an encounter.
