The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
This was the best! 7 questions for y'all--give me your opinion.
1. I liked the whole "Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs" thing. What do you think Fred and George would say if they found out who those guys were?
2. What would you turn into and do if you were one of them?
3. I kind of felt sorry for Snape for being so clueless and left out, except he's such a jerk. What do you think?
4. I'm hoping Hermione or someone will come up with a cure for Lupin because I like him! And he's definitely the best Defense against the Dark Arts teacher they've ever had. Will he come back, in your opinion?
5. Why does Snape want the DatDA job? Will he get it?
6. Will they find the rat and clear Sirius so Harry can live with him?
7. Will Dumbledore fire Madame Trelawny? (puke)
Feel free to answer any of these, or bring up your own questions.

Finished the book this afternoon :)
3. I don't know what will happen next year- things can only get worse in Potions class :o.
4. No, the other guys didn't come back, I don't think Lupin will either except maybe in the last book or something.
5. I don't know. It seems very odd- it was up for grabs many times, and they were "desperate" to fill it, so if he really wanted it he should've been able to have it. Weird.
6. Probably not any time soon, but I suspect Sirius will be back eventually...
Re: Finished the book this afternoon :) 5. Yeah, If everyone knows he wants it, why doesn't he just ask for it? Potions has got to be easier to fill than DAtDA! 6. Me too. I hope so...poor Harry!

what I think
2)a horse 3)I felt sorry for him, but only as sorry as you can feel for such a mean guy. 6)not in the 4th book, but eventually 7)no, he's thinking about giving her a raise since she made a real prediction. I read at a reliable source Lupin will come back- I think in the 5th book. I heard something one time about a romance involving Snape. How about this one- Severus & Minerva? Or Snape & Sprout, I'm not quite sure which one I think it is. First one would be more surprising.
Re: what I think
You know what I think Snape was lying about Wanting the job beacause in the 1st book he said "no nonsense about wands here. It's just silly to wave a wand around."
Re: The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
You know how everyone thinks there's something more to Snape? Well, there probably is, but think. He's a jerk, and so why feel sorry for him? Same with Draco, everyone seems to blame his meanness on Lucius, but think, it could have been the same for Lucius, too. If someone's mean, he/she's mean, and that's that.

Re: The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
Well, let's not go into the old genetics/upbringing/choice debate. I really don't know about Malfoy.
Of course in books, especially fantasy and other dramatic adventure novels, it's easy to say the bad guys are just BAD, and the heros are just GOOD, so the heros get rid of the villains and that's it. But in real life, personalities are much more complex. Few people are completely good or evil, and we have to deal with our problems in different ways.
Not that I'm disparaging Harry Potter or any other GREAT book like this. They're great for an escape from the real world, teach us lessons in a simplified environment, and entertain us. But it's important for us all to remember that life is just not that simple.
Re: The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
Yeah. But it's just that everyone's bringing up how maybe Snape or Malfoy's bad because of so and so. With Snape it's always a former romance, and with Malfoy it's his father. Although Ms. Rowling herself has said there's more to Snape than meets the eye, and then when someone asked if Snape would fall in love, she said she was "slightly stunned" and that we'd find out why later. Ho hum. Well, at least, the heroes in this book are somewhat human. Ron's got a nasty temper. :) I like him.

Re: The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
yes.
I would be a pheonix.
snape is a jerk.
so is Malfoy.
what is your favorite book?
*snort* we all have the same answer*
Lupin will return.
he is too good to leave.
Black will probably be free to live with Harry.
or the other way around.
Re: The best! (7 questions, spoiler)
Because CT wants to be politically correct. See, it would be so sexist if we said Wizard, and you were a Witch. Just intolerable.
