The board situation
OK guys the sad news is the posts we lost cannot be recovered. Apparently ezboard only keep backdated backups for 1 week. The attack happened on wednesday, I found out on thursday then worked out what happened on friday. I then found that I could request a restoral (by accident) on Saturday so I submitted the request with FULL details and a copy of the logs. On MONDAY I got a reply saying that they could only help if a week hadn't expired, and also asking for the names of the forums that needed to be restored. Information I might point out that was in my original request on Saturday! On Wednesday I then got a message saying that it was too late and he couldn't restore the files. Didn't stop him restoring the board to how it was just after the attack though! Thats why Helens response to Dani's sister dissapeared.
So in short due to ineptitude of the ezboard staff we have lost our posts. We are left with a couple of options.
1) We stay here and rebuild posting like rampant posting bunnies.
2) We decide that ezboard is too inept to host us and we find a new host. (Since we have no back posts we wont lose much)
Also the ezboard gold status is soon to expire. Renewal will cost $30 for 6 months. I'll post polls to see what you guys think.
