Things I miss...
I'm bored, and I started thinking about things that I miss from my life, be it actual objects or just memories. So I decided to start another thread. Please post yours, too. And let's keep adding, too, because reminicing is so bittersweet.
My Barbie dolls... I loved dressing them up, doing their hair, and having them act out scenes from movies I loved.
My apartment from my last semester of college... the closest I ever came to true independence. The time I spent living there was far too short.
Listening to the 'oldies but goodies' station in the summer... Music from the '50s and '60s was the soundtrack of my summer life growing up.
Having my younger brother climb into bed with me when we were younger and he'd get scared at night. I still love that kid, but he was so much sweeter back then, before he let his life get out of control.

Oh geez...seriously this is the wrong girl to ask about things she misses. I am ridiculously sentimental. My dad gets really mad at me because he is storing like 25 boxes of stuff I just don't want to get rid of.
Things I miss:
New Mexico weather. Growing up where it actually gets cooler at night was glorious.
Summers at Glorieta Music Camp - where I met some of my very best friends in the world. We all commisserated over being Minister's kids. They are the most talented people I know.
My puppy dog. She died almost 10 years ago, and I feel like its time to get a new doggie.
I have so many friendships that have dissappated over the years that I miss. I sometimes wonder if they miss me!
Ok, you're right...this could go on forever. I'll stop for now.
Re: Things I miss...
I miss my Busha. She was the best grandma a person could ask for. Sure, she had her faults, but we all do. I really wish I could have spent more time with her.
I miss watching 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', then discussing it with my bff. It was harder to talk to her about it after I graduated from college, but still fun. Our conversations were marked with exclamations like 'what the f*ck?'

Haha. I missed watching Buffy too...and then I started buying the seasons on DVD! w00t!
My brother used to say that I had a talent for liking shows that were destined to get cancelled. I would find something I was obsessed with, and three episodes later...it would go down the tubes. So in short, there are a million tv-shows I miss.

I miss being in high school and having no responsibilities.
I miss my job at the pet store, even though I make more money now.
I miss Foxy, my "big sister"/cat. She died when I was 15, and as much as I love all the animals we have now, they'll never come close to replacing her.
I miss Midget, even though I never would have met Nemo had it not been for losing her.
Re: Things I miss...
I miss being in college, especially in my writing classes. I loved having that writing community so available to you on a regular basis.
I miss my old Honda Civic. Yes, I enjoy my current one and I'm thankful to have it. But my old one was way better. RIP Lola!
I miss swimming. Just the feeling of being so bouyant in the water, of having the water stream between my toes. I love that.
Re: Things I miss...
I miss Benjamin Bratt being on Law & Order. Not only did he bring that hottness factor, he was a damned good actor on that show. I do like Jesse L. Martin on there, though. He's pretty damned hott himself.
I miss my Grandpa. Going to see 'The Great Raid' tonight made me think of him. He was a POW in a camp in Germany during WWII. I don't think he'd have been able to watch 'The Great Raid' because it probably would have brought back too many memories. I'm sad I never really got to talk to him about his life.

I miss rollerskating in general. I had so much fun at skating parties back in elementary and middle school. Let's have a skating revival, thank you very much.
Re: Things I miss...
I miss rollerskating, too! Forget that rollerblading crap. Bring back four-wheel rollerskates!
Viva la rollerskating revival!

P.S. Once upon a time, um, like a year and a half ago, I almost bought myself a pair of those Britney Spears Sketcher rollerskates. Not because I like her, I don't. But because I really wanted a pair of rollerskates. But then I thought to myself 'whenever will I wear them', so I didn't get them. I'm still sad I didn't get them to this day. True story.

I seriously miss shopping for school supplies. That was the one part of the school year that I always loved. Getting my sarcastic Garfield folders, those new college-ruled notebooks, and best of all, PENS!

Pens are beautiful instruments. Gel pens always tickled my fancy the most ... something about the smoothness and fluidity of the ink. Hmm, you know you're obsessed with pens when ...
