HPW, because I think you are a nice persion, I get the impression that you like this idea because it's a bit of fun and I would be up for it if that's all it was.
But I actually don't like the titles systems of other boards. They seem to me to be a hierarchy based on quantity of posts and not quality. A hierarchical system (especially if it is quantity based) might lead to smugness and laziness and I am of the mind that it doesn't matter who you are, or how often you post, you are only as valuable as the quality of your posts. And also just because you've posted more it doesn't mean you are smarter or more enlightened. Besides I don't like the idea of someone I've never met bestowing a ranking upon me. I decide what goes under my name!
Besides I don't like ranking systems in general and I think they are anathema to the individualistic ethos of the left-hand-path.
We have moderators (and yes I am one) only because Weasel has told us he trusts in our ability to deal with trolls and because he can't do everything himself. It was not a reward for pleasing him and it doesn't mean the moderators are any smarter, cooler or better. It just means Weasel trusts us to help him with the trolls.
I like our title system which only imposes titles on those who deserve to have their free will, to decide their ranking, taken from them - ie. the board clowns and board morons.

I think this system as it stands is much better.

I'm actually glad you posted it because we'd never really had a discussion about why we don 't use titles and this gave us the chance.

The discussion raises some very important points in the 'individual vs. the hierarchy' debate which I think is a central issue in Satanism.

It's a discussion which probably needed to happen.

On top of that, I had tried to acknowledge your good intentions in the first post I made in reply to your suggestion.

It was a good idea to bring it up!
