Trojan Quality
I've started to look at Trojan F-36s for use in the Chesapeake Bay as a family fisher/cruiser boat. I'd appreciate any comments or insights as to the overall build quality of the F36s, weak spots, strengths, and things to look for when I'm looking at a particular boat. Thanks.

Trojan quality is middle of the road for it's time. As with any older boat, you should be careful. Let us know how it goes!

F36
I agree they were a middle market boat of their class. Fairly well built but not as good as the top manufacturers. From my experience on my F36, once you get past the lack of storage and you accept the basic design, your issue will be relative to the maintenance performed or neglected thoughout its life. Make sure you use a quality surveyor prior to purchase.

Re: Trojan Quality
Great boat for the money. Get a survey done before you make an offer
