Tyre,s
I'm sure this question has been asked before but i cant find the answer.
The question being, if you start to run on the new 48's, is it logged that you have so that you cant change back to the 32's or is it possible to change your tyre choice until supply have dried up.
Re: Tyre,s
Reg's say you can run A032r or A048, so there is no problem swapping between them. If you were really keen you cold go for different tyre on the front vs the back... hmm how about left to right!

Left & Right!! Only if we start racing at the Thunderdome!!
I am under the impression that the 2007 rule book will specify 48s only.
Until then, fill your boots!!

I sure hope they have them in the larger sizes (225/60/15) by then...
The Rules Need to Change
The rules need to change to accommodate a 225/50/15 tyre or find another supplier.
The main reason being that a 225/60/15 is not available in the 48.
As there are quite a few older large (V cars competing, it would be unfair to expect them to run on a tyre that was too small. Nor would it be fair to make them upgrade to a late model vehicle as the tyre manufacturer chooses to ignore their requirements for whatever reason. There are quite a few older cars that have been competing for many years and it would be a shame to force them out of the catergory.
Take note that the Street Sedan Commodores now run on 225/50/15 tyres. They made the sensible decision.
The whole idea is to have a range of different vehicles in IP. That's what makes it interesting and fun.
So if you see a vote come up regarding this all you V8 and larger car drivers MUST vote for it.
I would bet money that this discussion would not be happening if Yokohama was not supplying 205/60/15's !!!
