Understated and Way too Short!

Whoa....I was expecting something different today than what I glimpsed (and if you blinked you might have missed it). All of Nora's scenes were short, clipped and really did not allow for much emotion to be carried through to the audience. I must admit, I did love the "looking down" aspect of watching Nora and Matthew laying on the bed but the camara needed to stay there an extra two beats or so. Even the scene with Bo, when he informs her of Sam's death in oh so few words, the camara needed to be there for an extra beat or two. Dang...I understand the limits a 40 something minute show places on the editors but an extra few beats would have allowed these scenes to rock. Today we missed out on an nicely understated (as opposed to Blair and Lindsay) expression of grief and loss that could have been much more powerful if allowed the time. Waken
