Untitled
This is an old one, but in the spirit of my archival efforts while at the shore, here it is. Bear in mind that even I don't remember what it was about. I remember writing it in school, that's about it.
Say their names,
They sit and wait:
Await every beck and call.
Give them meaning.
Turn on the light.
Stop neutering the heart
and poisoning the mind!
Just because it was
done to you
doesn't make it right
Stare blankly forward
Not a clue here
Noone's pulling on the leash
They grow tired
of their used plaything
Do you want to
stay on the shelf?
Just because it's never
been done
doesn't make it wrong.
The interplay
of man, child; slave, master;
work, play; sane, mad...
The mindless game
that is never over.
The pieces collect dust,
the players fell asleep.
Just because, it is,
in the end
of the day.
Regards,
Cyrus
