Here are two sites with useful election information.

The first is Project Vote Smart. At this site you can enter your zip code (plus the 4 digit suffix) to see information like voting records and campaign finances of state and national officials repesenting your area as well as those of candidates running against them.

At www.presidentmatch.com you can compare the positions of the presidential candidates on a wide variety of issues to see how closely they match your own.
