Videos of WP Round 1
Hi guys,
I've downloaded from the video camera last night and created these videos for your viewing pleasure. Should give you a bit of an idea how close the racing was on the weekend in Overs anyway. These are rather large (7.5-12Mb) so it isn't too dialup friendly.

I have Race 3 of the Overs on mimDV from the hill at Turn 1 plus my in-car from Race 3 in the Unders (unfortunately its from the rear of the field )

Its a little bit low quality but I had to set it back to 100kb/s and 15 frames/sec to get the size down to a reasonable level. Since my computer packed it in last night, I have to rebuild it again before playing with any more.
Peter: I'd love to get my hands on a copy of the external view of Race 3, I might be able to get a decent video together with a bit from both. Any chance of getting a copy sent down so I can play?
Shane: You might say I was a little disappointed. I honestly thought he had got it back when he went in a little sideways and then straightened it up. But then it all let go and he ended up dead in front of me. I thought I wasn't going to be able to get off him, but there was enough of a gap between the 3 cars behind us and the next group.
At least the car will be a little lighter from that incident, I'm taking some more bog out of it to make it lighter

How did you guess mate? I thought I should make it a PG version for posting on the net, my neice and nephew might see it
I actually have a number of little green irishmen blowing tumpets in the back seat. Keeps me entertained whilst going for a Sunday drive

Its a little KE25 Corolla running a 3SGTE, supra gearbox (w5 and a mazda e-series/ford econovan diff. I hate to admit it but its actually got RX7 brakes all around. It came from SA built by Chris Bailey who also built Col McAlisters car and another corolla that ran in NSW a couple of years ago but is now back in SA.
Its a great little car, just the driver needs to improve a bit, We've just rebuilt the motor and redone some of the stuff we didn't like in it over the off season, so we have been down a little on power compared to last year and I hope to have that sorted by EC (all going well and getting some cash donations, it would be nice ;-)

Yeah you got that right Ash! Its actually much nicer to drive now with the new motor, the last one ramped a little bit too quickly and then died off too quickly.
You could say that some of the sideways stuff in race 3 wasn't intended

Even the biggest one took 40 seconds while i was downloading the other 2 at the same time! I like my connection! A 20MB connection isn't too bad

Btw, anyone looking to put a sub-5 minute video up that's less than 100MB, give me a yell. I have a photobucket account that allows me to upload video now.
So if you want to make the video's bigger, and cut each race in half, i can put them up.

I can just re-encode it, but getting it up onto the server is the problem...only a 128kbps back channel, it takes some time , something for an overnight upload I think.
