Volunteer for ICER AIR @ AT&T Park (Ski/Snow Big Air)
VOLUNTEER!

Here is your opportunity to be a part of ICER AIR 2006. The ICER AIR staff is looking for some dedicated individuals to join our volunteer team. Don’t miss the chance to take part in this world class multi-action sporting event, and meet some great people while you’re out there.

• All positions are for the full day (8:30am – 9:00pm, depending on competition schedule)

As a volunteer you’ll meet new people and enjoy several tokens of our appreciation:

• ICER AIR gift items
• Volunteer giveaway and raffle opportunities
• Hospitality and refreshments

ICER AIR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM OUTLINE

We expect thousands of people to pass through the venue during the event and we look to the volunteers to assist with maintaining a positive and friendly environment. As an ICER AIR volunteer, the primary function is to assist the spectators and credentialed guests during the event. The ICER AIR staff relies on the volunteers to assist in disseminating event information and providing guidance to all spectators visiting the venue. Volunteers are the eyes and ears of the event. They are in the crowds, in the stands, and on the venue assisting spectators and staff to ensure a successful, safe event. We couldn't do it without all the volunteers!

Volunteer for the Full Day
Your assignment will be based on the competition schedule and the needs for the day. The day will go from roughly 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. We ask that you commit yourself for the entire day when you sign up as a volunteer. We know this may seem long, but when you are out there on the venue, amongst all the action, everything just seems to happen so quickly.

Role of the Volunteers
Volunteers will be proactive, helpful and knowledgeable hosts to spectators and guests as they visit the venue. Volunteers perform numerous operational roles such as crowd control, ushering, access control and assisting with checking credentials.
Volunteers are frontline resources for our guests. They answer questions and provide assistance in several areas of the venue. Volunteers will have assignments that will fall under one or more of the following duties. Your volunteer coordinator will assign your actual duty when you check in on the day of the event. Your most important position will be to assist spectators with event information and ensure the success of the ICER AIR event.
Venue Monitor and Support
Venue Monitors will assist with ushering, crowd control, credential access, and management of pedestrian traffic flow in a designated area. Venue Monitors are crucial to securing competition viewing areas and assisting with the prevention of spectators filtering onto restricted areas.
Spectator Services/Information Booth
Assist in providing event related information to spectators. These volunteers play an important role with informing the public on the venue policies, answering questions about the event, competition schedules and changes, assisting with shuttle and parking information, and referring media requests to the proper staff.
Hospitality
Work with Hospitality Coordinators to ensure the smooth operation of various hospitality areas. This position will include checking credentials, monitoring and replenishing refreshment tents, restocking supplies, and providing event information to guests of the hospitality areas.
Sponsor Booth/Expo Support
Assist the sponsors with product giveaways and monitoring lines. Provide assistance with pedestrian traffic flow, access control, and informing the public on the policies of the ICER AIR event.
What It Takes To Be An ICER AIR Volunteer:
 Volunteers are expected to be available for the full event day. Check in starts around 8 AM.
 Your duties may vary through out the day. We cannot guarantee that you will always have the opportunity to see the competition. So please keep this in mind when committing as a volunteer.
 Assist spectators and credentialed guests with event information. After check in, volunteers will be briefed to the various services and locations available at the event.
 Be prepared to work in all weather conditions. Good physical condition and able to stand for long periods of time.
 Be committed to the success of the event by completing your assignment(s).
 Need to be adaptable and flexible. Assignments change through out the day based on the event needs. At times there are competition or weather delays, so it's expected that volunteers be flexible with their time.
