WA Round 1
Just a few lines on our first round over here.
As it is only a young class here our entry numbers are low, even so 11 punters came up with the funds which is great, and there are many more to come...
Our first is run late in the day and on into the night on the short circuit which incorporates a tight right handed hairpin on the crest of a hill, then cuts its way across and back onto the normal track about half way into the main straight. This section doesn't get a lot of use, damn if it aint slippy!!!
Sadly no more than 7 ended up competing due to various reasons, mine being a lack of licence (CAMS being a tad slow with the paperwork) which was a major p1ss off for me.
Fish nearly didn't make the cut either with his car not arriving at the track until after qualifying! But...at least he was out there (if only briefly...better luck next time dude!)...the others??...who knows.
Anyways, a great nights racing with a couple of the IPRA guys giving the street cars (aren't they trams??) a run for their money too (Troy Stones and his Dad having a great dice in the 2nd heat (full reverse grid!) with the younger coming out on top after Dad took a slight detour....
Looks like so much fun...I can't wait for April 8/9 !!!

tell you what mal.
There was a bottle of Jim beam in my pantry with your name on it. If i had to go out in qualifying. You would seen your car do laps in anger... with a inexperienced driver thats for sure.
So angry you couldn't race. next round here we come. My beast is off getting more Hp and a tune up...
