Church of God members must be warned as soon as possible about a book scheduled for release during the Spring of 2008: "THE MAN FROM TENNESSEE" was written by “The World Famous Anonymous Author” – which we assume to be James Reesor himself.
A reporter asked this question: “Is it true that you are the son of a Church of God minister?”
The disrespectful answer: “I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that it might incriminate me. I’m kidding, of course, but I learned long ago that being labeled a ‘preacher’s kid’ is almost slanderous. My father is an ordained minister with the Church of God located in Cleveland, Tennessee. Growing up as a straight-laced, Spirit-filled Pentecostal was not something I did very well. Rolling on floors when the Spirit hit or jumping over pews seemed undignified to me. Dr. James B. Reesor, my father, is now living in Florida at the age of 92. He has served as pastor in Lemmon, South Dakota, president of a Canadian Bible College, missionary and evangelist. Several other members of my family, including Dr. Mervyn McCluhan and Dr. Robert Reesor with their wives and children, have a long history in the Church of God. In fact, my cousin Darlia is married to Dr. Paul Conn – a respected educator who has had a distinguished career as president of Lee University in Cleveland.”
Will Christians remain silent when hearing controversial claims about the rapture from someone who has Church of God connections? Will enemies of the church use this book to help or hurt the Kingdom of God?
Quoting from a press release: “Christians who missed the first phase of the ‘rapture’ are shocked to learn it happened at midnight of 19 March 2006. The ‘dead in Christ’ were taken with the ‘Elijah Spirit’ by a ‘thief in the night’ on ‘a day we will never forget.’ Even though it all happened exactly as prophetically promised, most carnally minded people hesitate to believe anything that has not been seen, heard, touched, tasted or smelled. While those who are ‘alive in Christ’ await the call to join the others in the clouds, followers of Satan are being invited to repent of sins."
“A day we will never forget” is explained when reading about the alleged phase one of the 2006 rapture: READ THE ELIJAH MESSAGE ABOUT THE 2006 RAPTURE
Everyone in every nation needs to read “THE MESSAGE FROM GOD” found at:
READ THE MESSAGE FROM GOD
Only God can tell us if James is a true or false prophet! If Christians ever had a reason to pray, this is the time to get down on our knees.
