I was wondering if any of you might like to share what you've been reading/studying in your devotional time -- in the Bible or other books? Have you read anything that's encouraged you? I have been studying Romans chapter 6. I really like it; it is quite a convicting chapter. Our Lord calls us to be DEAD to sin, and SLAVES of righteousness. You know, when you are someone's slave, you are owned by them, and do whatever they say, whenever they say it. Your complete dedication is demanded. That is how we are to be regarding the things of the Lord. We must be seeking to love and serve Him with all that we are, that we might be holy as He is. If we have claimed Him as our Savior, we must also claim Him as the Lord over our lives. This is what I've been thinking more about lately. I think that the term "slave" is a helpful way of showing us how we are to seek after holiness. Oh, and it is such a joy to do so because our Lord is so good! Love in Christ, Atlanta
