What is the Differences between Dragons and Daemons?
Someone once told me there was hardly a difference.
And yet at the same time I can not help to think that they are wrong.

Anyone know a little more?

Re: What is the Differences between Dragons and Daemons?
I know very little about dragons, but what I heard was that Dragons and Daemons had a number of the same charactoristics... you would have to ask someone a little bit more knowledgable than I.

Maybe if a dragon could somewhat comment, but I wonder if dragons are as secretive as daemons?

As far as I know dragons are indeed as secretive... Of course I do not blame them. They have every right to be just as ever other kin does.

Re: Re:
Very true, but at least from my general scratching upon the source of other kins, some of them aren't nearly as secretive. I just think that maybe Dragons and Daemons tend to keep to themselves. Of course, I can not say for sure because I don't know any dragons very well, and close to not knowing them at all.

Yes, I only know one dragon myself...
He is known as my big brother (not my blood brother) though I hardly see him now since his life is so busy.

It took him a long while to know what he truly was, it took someone else telling him until he really knew...

Re: Re:
My mother is dragon. A freaky woman she is. Secretive and quiet. I know alot about dragons...but only small stuff. Perhaps I get a couple friends to get over here and talk with you about them.

I can describe comparisons with my mother and other demeans. To me..they hold little in common, but more so much in difference. Both can be quiet and both are secretive. Dragons...and I mean no offense to anyone....have been known more for their kindness and generiosity. Demeans are rare to have that. Dragons have much more patience, stamina, and hold strong any belief they want. Demeans, as a whole, don't share much patience, are easily frustrated if the right cords are strummed, and usually believe in the same thing. But that last part I might be wrong on to a major degree, cuase demeans on Ezboard are way different from those that I hold as friends in life.

*looks at what she said* um...I'll hold my tongue for now. Must go find the two guys I want to get here.

Re: Re:
Rae, you observations about Dragons, I can not comment on because I am not one. But the observations on daemons... well, I would say some of them were kind of correct, while others were FAR OFF!

I don't understand how you can make a comment about daemons believing the same things. The daemons on ezboard are different because they *are* different. Like you, and anyone else, daemons have their beliefs or ideas, and they vary pending on the daemon you are talking about. Now, I personally would say that I can lose my patience and become rather frustrated rather quickling, pending the on cord being attacked... but a lot of the is dependent upon the person I am having to deal with as well.

Because me made the comment, and hun, it's true. I've been studying dragons, demeans, and wolves for well over 5 years. I love doing it and have several demean friends. Gotta love them, except when they're mad. I usually hide. lol

www.colba.net/~tempest1/dragons.htm

That's a cool link to some dragons I found when searching for something with my mother. I have no idea if it will help considering I haven't read much but only looked at the cool art. lol

I understand that you have been studying were's, dragons, and daemons for five years, but I was just commenting on the fact that daemons don't all believe the same thing. In fact, I would say we bathe in our individuality.

As for the other two, I do not know nearly enough to be able to make a comment. I don't know if dragons and daemons are anything alike, except that a few of the dragons that I have met online, seem to have as hot a temper as I do when provoked.

Re: Re:
Daemons are the wind and air, and dragons are the earth and fire? Interesting...

Do you have anything else to back that up? Just, a comment or two? I am not saying I don't believe you... I have just never heard of it being explained that way.

Does that mean there is balance between daemons and dragons because they fulfill the four elements? Where do other kin fit into that structure?

Rez... my comment was not inteneded to exclude other kin just compare those two.... and I do not believe dragons are so much secretive as selective... after all wisdom is knowing when to speak and when not to

Yes, I understand that you were comparing the two, but I am curious as to what basis you have for the comparison; the evidence in which the statement was being made. I had never heard of that kind of comparison, but I was just kind of curious.

basis?
welll...... experience and.......... the comments made here

why the elemental comparison --- when you're elemental you tend to think along those line.... and also what in this world is not elemental....

ooppps ... should be water not wind

water and air are mutable/changeable/constantly in motion
earth is more solid/unmoving/steady
fire has many forms and while mutable still restricted

seems like daemons tend to be more in the here and now and with all the activity a tad less aware
while dragons tend to be more contemplative and are keen observers

daemons similar to birds dragons similar to lizards

Re: basis?
Wow, those are pretty interesting observations and I wouldn't necessarily disagree either. I know I tend to be in the here and the now, and move through things rather quickly sometimes, not necessarily being as aware of the general things around me, or maybe sometimes, and I guess I can sum it up in a word (or a couple), rather self-centered.

So, if you think elementally, then what elements would you say you tend to be more assocatied with?

So you are a dragon? Wow... that would have validated your statements a long time ago. *grin* Not that I have any reason to not trust what you are saying though... well, I do because I don't trust people, but anyway that is neither here nor there...

Can I ask you a question then... are dragons kind of... temperamental?

Re: basis?
Odd... all the daemons I know resonate with age, not the here and now. Their arrogance is inborn and a tribute to soul strength and age. The few that I have met that are more "here and now" oriented as so full of chaotic aggression and violence but are seriously dedicated (like all daemons) to those people who are their family - be it blood or association and to the aspects of nature they are bound to. Beyond that I can't see any of them having much empathy, sympathy or even consideration unless it benefits them.

Daemons can be proud but keep silent as to what they are when the instance calls for it.

From the dragons I have met, they are in equal parts arrogant and secretive, and motsly out of a desire to protect and hoarde. As for being linked to the elements - it goes so and so. I think it depends on the type of dragon soul the person has. One could envision themselves as a Celtic dragon and feel bound to lightning and another as a Grecian wurm and bound to fire or even Chinese and the earth. I think it has to do with the origin of the incarnation and not just body type. It would be as wrong to make a generalization as it would be to place limitations on the exact incarnation of Leviathin or the Midgaard Serpent.

My 2 pennies.
