Don't really know if its a 'religious relic' but we know its a time machine. The way the skins were after it and the way it got everyone in an uproar at the intergalactic summit it you can pretty much assume its a weapon, as well. A transport? Well...we're getting a little ahead of ourselves now aren't we?
