My family and I took a vacation last May (2003) to Silver Creek, Co. and LOVED it there! We all enjoyed the mountains on every side, NOTHING compared to the prairies of TX!! This is a neat topic... This area is growing, though at a tremendous rate, due to all the Californians moving up. And it was voted as the best place in the nation to retire; it seems like everyone really thinks that! BTW, Shannon, we passed by the exit to Calhoun last Friday on our way home from FL! I thought of you when we did. smile I absolutely LOVE the countryside of Missouri. The only thing it lacks is mountains. However... we live IN the Ozark Mountains. So I guess that is why I can't see them. haha!! (actually, MO. really doesn't have any real mountains. But it's still a pretty nice state in my oppinion!) A slower pace of life. More hometown values, and many Christians. ~Great peace have they which love the Lord~

I'm from the SOUTHERN part of Delaware...it is not technically a southern state, but I think of it that way. (Hey, it's a border state. In my heart, I live in Virginia. But for now, I live in flat, crowded, southern Delaware. 4 miles from the beach. I do not like the beach. Too many tourists in the summer. Oh well. I am planning to go to a college in Northern Virginia in a couple of years! Yeah!
