Hi Ladies! Who cooks at your house? Do you do all the cooking for your family or do you just help your mother? It all depends for me. Somedays I do the all the cooking, but most generally mom and I cook together. It's kind of hard to get us both out of the kitchen. THE King's Daughter! Emilee, Oops...I'm sorry about that!!! I generally help my mom cook, too! Our family is usually only all together for dinner, so we only have to cook once a day! And yes, it is a good time to visit!!! His Handmaid, Hannah "And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word." Luke 1:38 |

My sister and I probably do most of the cooking in our home. Mama has diabetes and has found that cooking and the tasting that naturally goes along with it does not help her diabetes at all. However, all three of us ladies really love to cook, so we usually all contribute something to the meals even if in Mama's case it can only be a salad. We each have our "specialties," too. It is a lot of fun to cook together and we get to do it usually three times a day! |

Let me think... On Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday I cook with one of my younger brothers, or sisters. Then my older sister cooks on the other days with on of the younger kids. My mom was inspired by a famly whose eight and ten year old boys could cook a whole meal by themselves! So she gets the kids in the kitchen when they are young! lol! Of course she helps a lot of the time as well. Dad even cooks on Sunday! So I guess everyone in the family helps cook some time or other! Many hands make light work! ~*~Shannon~*~ |

I've been doing most of the cooking, as Mom hasn't been feeling too well, especially with the morning sickness. So, I've been doing most of the meals (and am very happy to! I enjoy it (to an extent ~Krista |

Mom, me, and my sister. We kinda take turns, and it depends on who's available when I used to do 3/4 of it, but Mom does more of it now. I do a lot of baking. We drive my dad and brothers nuts because we will end up laughing over this thing or that (not the cooking, just some of the things we discuss), and getting almost out of control, we'll be laughing so hard. At least we enjoy each other's company As Tigger says, TTFN! (TaTa For Now!) My mother does most of the cooking in our home, though I do often make things (I love to experiment too!). I like to cook something for breakfast and make a dinner once a week if I can, as well as other things. My father and brother usually don't enter the kitchen unless it is to eat, but years ago it was our tradition for my dad, brother, and I to make my mother's birthday cake together. That was a lot of fun!Atlanta |

Hmm... actually everyone in our family cooks except for my youngest siblings, 9 and 10 yo. Instead they set the table and occasionally make salad. Mom is "low-energy" and has so much else to do so she cooks very seldom. We eat dinner early so the one who comes home from school first usually do the cooking(homeschooling is VERY unusual in Sweden so all my siblings go to public school). This means that the rest of us cook approx. once a week. During the weekend dad is mostly the one making dinner. He loves to experiment and usually with great result! ~Sofia |

Kind of late here with my reply...sorry... But, we have three main cooks in our family, Mama (that's me) Debbi (my 17yo who posts here as DorySloane) and Hannah (my 13yo who doesn't do online stuff, yet. She is mostly with her animals!) Debbi can cook anything I can cook (and I haven't seen a recipe that can whip me yet! LOL). Hannah is still mostly soup & sandwiches, but has begun to make pretty mean biscuits on her own (that means they are great!! YUM!!!). We also have two cooks in training... Sarah (7yo) and Ray (4yo). I, too, start them in the kitchen early. It takes a very long time to prepare meals, but I figure I'm investing in the future, and it has paid off with my older children. Ray especially enjoys using the stand mixer! LOL My dh hasn't cooked since Hannah's birth. That was the only time he cooked...for the week or so following a birth Blessings, MamGu {Mrs. Teresa in WV} |

Hi!
My sister, mom, and I all cook the most. My eleven yo brother can also cook, but I don't fully trust his abilities yet Corri (My youngest brother wants me to put all these icons in)

We all take turns, at our house. We have no set schedule though. Dad loves to cook--he just makes something up, and it usually tastes delicious. Mom cooks supper...or she'll get one of us to do it. A lot of our meals are family affairs--i.e. everyone pitches in. Anna
