Why is there no DRH thread?
Had tons of fun! Hung out with Heather, Kristin, Joe, Clare & Shanna!!
Chatted with DRH (gonna buy the same shirt he was wearing when I got to Austin in two weeks), Kevin Lovejoy (such a nice guy, if I wasn't married I'd have hit on him), and Dela, listening to him talk made me homesick which of course made me even sadder cause home will never be the same again.
BUT all in all a good night. I know Heather will be along shortly to recap.
I love that it's automatically assumed that I will be along shortly to recap...and she's right.
The concert was fantastic. The setlist was a good mix for a first timer like me. Some stuff I knew and some stuff I want to know. It had the affect I hoped it would...makes me want to get my hands on more of his stuff. I will definitely make a point to go to another show. So awesome.
I told DRH that I couldn't leave without buying a cd because I felt guilty that I had downloaded his album. He signed my cd: "SAY NO TO...(signed his name)... you thought i was going to say downloading."
I hung around and met the Dela. He was really nice, and yes...oh, yes...I gave him the address to GI. I did have to call Jess and make her turn on her computer to give it to me. Haha. Anyway, I told him about the board and that there's a whole thread dedicated to him. He was amused. Spread the Dela love!!
All in all, it was a fantastic evening. I am very disappointed with the turnout (about 30 people). I can't for the life of me figure out how such a talented artist who is now toting a kick-ass band isn't drawing a larger crowd. I think the street team needs to get on it! There's a fan-base waiting to happen wherever they go. I for one, am going to spread the word.
I hope you guys get out to a show if you can on this tour. You will have a blast. I sure did!

drh needs to go to ohio and then new york so then i can complain about not seeing him.
my dad is the hugest drh fan in the WORLD. he calls me singing drh songs or leaves me messages where he plays the cd loud and then goes "....im here at work, have a good day!" it's insanely cute.
last time drh was here, my dad couldnt' go, so i had david call him... and he sang my dad his favorite song (good thing) and signed his cd "missed you tonight jer." it made MY life almost as much as my daddyo's.
These cloudy skies they change my view and everything comes back to you

No rush, Michelle. We are so swamped with moving, etc. It will be a little while before I can take the time to listen to them anyway. I'll be happy to get them whenever they come.

Well, I'm hoping to stop being such a slacker and send them out sometime within the next week.
