Why wasn't the school closed?
Did they keep the death of Myrtle top secret? Even from her parents? This part sort of makes no sense.....Did they really think that Hagrid's spider killed her? They should have done a sweep of the school befroe letting people back in instead of just blaming Hagrid. Plus, didn't they nottice that Tom Riddle was slipping away to go behind the walls to talk to the snake? Also, how did Tom Riddle put himself into the diary? That part makes no sense. He finished Hogwarts then became the evil Voldemort because he really angry.........So how could he also put himself in the diary if he also lived out his life? I don't remember if that was explained... I read the second book awhile ago.

Re: Why wasn't the school closed?
it was just a "memory" that he put in the book/diary. nothing more nothing less. a living memory, if you will. he still could live his life, he just also had a living memory!

does that make sense?
