 World climate change.
Please join with me in prayer for our beautiful world. There has been so much pollution and misuse of it's resources that in so many places there is lack of food and water, and the greenhouse effect is rather disturbing.
We in Australia are experiencing the worst drought in decades. In South East Queensland where I live it has been especially bad and whilst there have not been water restrictions so far in my area, 100 kms south in the capital
city of Brisbane and surrounds they have been on level 5 ( which prohibits watering of gardens, washing cars, minimal shower use, etc. and sadly it is coming to the point where it is possible to " report a neighbour" for over use of water !!) The existing dams are at their lowest levels in many areas.
The state Government has a rebate policy going where householders apply for a rebate if they install a rainwater tank on their property, but so many are unable to find the initial money to install them !! and demand has exceeded supply at the moment. In their "oblivion" the Government are building a new dam in an area which doesn't have a good rainfall record and people are losing their land and livelihood because of this. There have also been suicides because some are unable to cope.
We all need to ask God's forgiveness for taking for granted all that he has given us and pray, and pray, and pray........
