Since the dicussion Thread is up, it must mean I've returned from vacation and am ready to get the show on the road!

Firstly, I'd like to say that this RPG is based almost entirely on the movies and not the comic books, or if you prefer graphic novels.

Nextly, I'll get on with the general plot...
About 4 or so years have passed since the events of X2. The Mutant Registration Act has not only been passed but is now being strictly enforced by a group called Clean America, a radical group of non-mutants. They have also created the thinly veiled "Mutant Rehiblitation Centers" which are in reality just prisons for non-registered mutants.

Clean America has also been working on, in secret, a type of germ that would kill off the mutant populas. Magneto and his group of mutants were able to infiltrate the labs and steal small strands of the germs and they have now been trying to develop a vaccine for themselves.

Xavier and his mutants are currently unaware of the germ or the possible vaccination. However, Magneto doesn't have the resources to produce the vaccine fast enough or have enough of the germ to make a stronger vaccine, leaving him and his mutants in a sticky bind, seeing as Xavier does have the ablity to do so.

The game will try to follow this set-up:

IntroXmen--IntroBadGuys--meetingbetween2---sneakintolab---stealmoregerm---makevaccine---stopCleanAmerica

More or less anyway

Characters: Ones from the movie are ok, no godmodding, don;t be worried is your powers are going to be similar[I've done a bit of X-Men research and there were alot of dupilcate and repeated powers], don't forget the bad human peoples, we need them too.

My Profile:
Name: Kiarah[Kia} Varrons
X-Name: Day Vampyre
Age: 25
Clothes: black jeans, red tank top, full length black leather coat, silver reflective sunglasses during the day time
Eyes: both of her eyes are solid black. seeing as they are extremely sensitive to the sunlight, Kia wears a small pair of silver reflective sunglasses when she has to go out in the day time.
Hair: Medium length, black, usually pulled back into a braid
Powers: Telepathy
Other Weapons: a small hangun, that she keeps hidden in a holster on the back of her belt
History: Kia was born in a small north-western town, just outside of the Seattle area. Grwoing up in a happy family environment which was shattered when her father left her and her mother when she was 12. Later on this expierence was pinpointed as when her powers broke forth and began to develop. On the morning of her 13th birthday, after suffering quietly a year of painful headaches, Kia looked in the mirror and saw that her eyes were solid black. Fearing what her mother would say, Kia grabbed her father's pair of sunglasses[one of his things that she had kept] and left through her window. Traveling across the country, keeping her secret the whole time, Kia met many like her and even heard of a place where people like them were safe. She arrived at Xavier's school a year later when she was 14. Soon after, her power was discovered to be telepathy. Prof. Xavier took it upon himself to help Kia with the difficult and possibly dangerous power. Now 11 years later, Kia has been able to grasp her skill with confidence. Able to read minds, she hasn't been able to hold control over a person for very long. She has decided to stay on at the Mansion hoping to help the younger mutants. The Mutant Registration Act has always angered Kia, as it was passed during her 20th year, she was not one to embrace it with open arms. But Xavier was able to convince her that stupidity should not be met with volience, and he advised her to register. To this date, Kia has not.
Dist. Marks: wears three silver hoops in each ear, each hoop getting smaller as they go back along the ear, has a tattoo of the Chinese Character for 'regeneration' on the back of her neck, which is often visble, has a pronounced limp coming from her right leg, when she was 24, she and a couple of her friends where going out to party at a bar that was close by. As they was walking, One of them, who had been gifted the power of incredible sight saw in a darkened alley way a group of humans beating on a weak mutant. Kia and her friends went to go help. It turned out that one of the humans had a gun on them and let loose a few shots once they saw the mutants coming. One of the shots ran through Kia's leg and ripped some of her tenndens[sp] The battered mutant came off ok and was admitted to Xavier's school. The humans got away and Kia's shooter was never identified.
Reason For X-Name: DayVampyre was adopted for Kia's use, due to the fact of her need to where sunglasses during the daylight and her ever pale complexion. She never sunburns or tans, this oddity has never been quite explained.

Also, I'll be doubling up with a charter called Danté, an unexpected decision, for a run down on him please refer to the Fan Fiction under X-Men---Earlier Matters.

'Kay, I think I've rattled on long enough

Finally, DV. What took you so long (goober!)?

Name: Verity Carson

X-Name: Touchtone

Age: 18

Clothes: Gothic-style red lace shirt and black pin-stripe pants.

Eyes: Dark chocolate brown. (Oooh, chocolate...yum!)

Hair: Shoulder-blade length black hair, often done up in some sort of funky up-do or style.

Powers: Levitation/Telekinesis

Other Weapons: Verity is a black belt in Tae Kwon Do but is afraid of using a gun.

History: Verity led a rather normal and boring life in southern Maryland near the Potomac until she turned 14. She was in school when the first signs of her powers appeared. Verity was in chorus rehearsal, and while she sang one of her solos, one of the music posters lifted up into the air much to the surprise of...well, everyone. This first levitation was dismissed, and Verity first started suspecting something when she was at rehearsal with her band. When rehearsing one song, when Verity had to belt out a few lines during the bridge, her extra guitar lifted out of its stand. This scenario happened a few more times before Verity came to the full conclusion that she was in fact a mutant. Verity was too scared to tell her parents, so she told her best friend and bassist for her band. They told her that they had heard of a school up north where they taught mutants, since the bassist's sister went there. Less than a week later Verity's best friend snuck Verity out of her house !
in the early morning and drove her to Xavier's school for the gifted.

Dist. Marks: Verity went out and got a tattoo the day she turned 18, having a big reunion with her former bandmates. Her tattoo is the Korean symbol for "A harmony that speaks from one's soul to the heart of the listener".

Reason For X-Name: Check out 'X-Factor---Earlier Matters'.

Note: I'll most likely be signing up with a baddie character, probably the evil side-kick if DV still needs one for the main baddie.

This sounds good, very well thought out and planned. I'd like to have a go as one of the Brotherhood of Mutants, maybe Magneto or Sabretooth. I kind of live for violence and stuff, but the Magneto I prefer is the one from the comicbooks and animated series rather than the 'oldie von moldie' of the movies.

Well, if you'd prefer the comic book Magneto, I don't have a problem with that. I was just saying that I have never read any of the comics and I've probably two whole episodes[specifically the ones about Jean Grey/Phoenix] and only then by accident.

So you won't be able to say "Ok, I'm playing Magneto"
You'll still need to do a rundown of him and his character.

Ha ha, watch me tell Alywen her character isn't accepted Just kidding, Goober

I like the way you're running this game, DayVampyre. You must have some experience conducting RPGs. Good Job!
Never the less, go over the rules section once just to keep abreast on how RPGs take place in Bree (presently refer to the LOTR RPG board for Rules), They aren't strict rules, but they need to be respected.

I'll have a character and profile dossier ready for the character I intend to play here soon. And I will also urge some others to join this game.

EEK! I'm here, I'm here...I feel so loved and needed. Yup...I'm going to be a baaaaaaad mutant ...

Now, for this, as I thought of the character the first time I was watching X-Men 2 (way before Day Vampyre, Aylwen, and I even considered the game), it is all going to be within the movie for me.

Name: Rochelle Anders
X-Name: Dragonfly
Age: 20
Clothes: Hip-hugging, boot-cut faded blue jeans, black leather bodice-style spaghetti-strap tank-top, knee high 3"-heel boots
Eyes: fairly typical hazel with a blue-green on the outside and amber flecks nearer to her pupil
Hair: Long, straight honey-blonde hair about down to her lower back, usually left down
Height: 5'10"
Gender: Female (obviously)
Powers: She changes into animal elementals of sorts. She appears in the form of an animal, but each animal is paired with an element (earth, fire, air, and water). If you were to shoot her or harm her in nearly any way, she would be injured, so it isn't really that much better than a regular animal. However, if, for example, she took the image of a tiger, which is paired with fire, you could not destroy her with fire. You could shoot her or stab her, but throwing fire at her wouldn't do anything. However, if you hit her with water, she would be defeated. It's pretty hard to really explain. I think I managed to display to Day Vampyre and Aylwen what I mean. You'll see what I mean when we actually play. She also has mild control of elements due to her power, but she can't really do much (she doesn't know how to use that power, so she typically ends up messing up: blowing air at you when she meant to flip some fire towards you, or getting you a little wet when she wanted to throw boulders at you). She can't create weather or elements, but she has very, very mild control (makes for some comic relief in my fanfics).
Other Weapons: None
History: Rochelle was born in a small town in New York, fairly close to Xavier's school for the gifted. She was an only child, so she grew up in a fairly spoiled environment, as she came from an upper-middle or lower-upper class family. The summer Rochelle turned eleven, she was at a local beach with one of her friends named Crystal. Her friend managed to swim too far out and was caught by a current. Due to the crowd, no one took notice of the lone girl too far out. Rochelle, purely out of instinct, jumped into the water and began trying to swim out. She was never a great swimmer. About halfway out to her friend, Rochelle was pulled under. Before she knew what she was doing, she had changed forms. She swam to her friend as half water dolphin (half still human). As she didn't know what she was doing, she did not fully change, but the change that was made was enough to get to her friend and manage to pull her partway back to shore. She emerged from the water as she changed back, shocking all of the beach patrons, who demanded that she be taken away from the beach. After that incident, word spread quickly, and she was shunned by all but Crystal. By the time the summer was over, Rochelle's parents had decided to quietly send her to Xavier's School for the Gifted, as it was close to their house. They told people that Rochelle had gone away to a boarding school and that the incident had been a health problem that had cleared up. When she was thirteen, Crystal, her one friend left from her old life, turned up at the school. It turned out that she was a mutant, thus explaining her lack of fear for Rochelle when they were together. She could create precious stones, coincidentally. The two were still fast friends. Two years later, however, when Crystal was visiting her parents, she was killed in an Anti-Mutant demonstration that turned into a riot. Crystal had only been passing by, but her diamond-colored eyes had given her away as being not human. After Crystal's death, Rochelle became increasingly bitter against regular humans. She found a friend in another young student at Xavier's school that disliked humans and was about her age. This boy was John Allerdyce, who called himself Pyro and was a pyrokinetic. When she was sixteen, Pyro disappeared and it was said that he had joined Magneto. Again alone at the school, Rochelle fled, finally finding her friend John when she was eighteen. At the time that the Role-Playing Game starts, John and Rochelle are driving back from a demonstration against the Mutant Registration Act that took place in Washington, D.C. Rochelle had been registered one time when she was arrested for her demonstrating.
Jewelry: She wears different necklaces interchangably, all wich a dragonfly on them and all with different colored stones. She also wears silver rings on nearly every finger. Rochelle tends to wear long, dangling earrings, typically with a stone that matches the necklace she wears.
Car: John managed to steal them a Silver Streak Mica Toyota Spyder with black leather seats.
Distinguishing Marks: She has a small tattoo of a Dragonfly on her left thigh. She has a fairly large tattoo of the Chinese symbol for "freedom" on her right shoulderblade. She has two piercings in each ear, along with her naval and her tongue.
Reason for her X-Name: Rochelle frequently used the fire dragonfly as a shape to run away and escape when she was trapped, arrested, or just needed to run away. She also liked the name.

So I take it we got rid of the "all mutants must wear tags" idea that we had before?

And also, although I will not be playing the character really, as Rochelle will travel with John a lot, I'll probably do a lot of his actions.

I need to see if Dancing_Hobbit still wants to jump into this game.

Ooo! I'm really too excited about this for my own good, but I'm changing the shoes my character typically wears! I was shopping for new boots for back-to-school, and the shoes I ended up buying are going into the game. They still have 3" heels and they come about 2" above my ankle. They're black. They're one of those pairs of boots where the heel isn't separate from the main sole. I tried to find a picture online, but I couldn't (I had way too much fun looking at shoes).

Also, as she is a typical girl, although her typical "uniform" of sorts is the aforementioned outfit, Rochelle will sometimes change. If she does, I'll describe the outfit as part of the story somewhere (seeing herself in the mirror or something). And if I can find a picture to describe it, I'll put the link here.

For the leather bodice, here's a picture, except that the shirt has spaghetti straps. And here is a good example of the jeans.

EDIT: A link to the Toyota Spyder. It's the first color available, and the default one on the page, I believe. You can look at the interior by clicking the Interior 360 on the left and the outside by clicking where it said Exterior 360 on the right.

awww... poor widdle Aylwen not getting any snow...

I've sent off the RPG

and also quite off topic but worth mentioning...I've chopped off all of my bothersome hair and will be sending in a pic either Monday or Tuesday for the Bree Members photo album-thing...

Bus never showed up...she slept in and missed it ...

Same difference.

I've sent off the pic of me as well as some art I did of the Valar. Neat stuff.

Anyways, Aylwen, what did you think of the new RPG?

Hope your exams went well!

Just came home from the movies...saw Along Came Polly. Not bad, quite funny . But the previews rocked. I am definetly going to see Van Helsing and this one really scary movie Rise of the Dead[or something like that] The trailer creeped the h*** out of me.

YO!

LoL. I went to the movies today too. I saw Peter Pan for the third time. The guy who plays Peter is so cute! Awwwwww....

Anyway, I posted. The post is short and kind of sucks, but I posted. Lo ciento!

And I got your email, and the game sounds really cool but it kind of confused me sometimes, probably just because I'd never played the game before. Other than that...

Ok so...if you're not already aware, Bree is moving back onto a lovely ezboard. Mr. Thain is going to be moving the games over there, so unless ya'll have the incredible uncontrollable desire to post, you may was well wait till the game has been re-set up over there

totally don't have an ending for this...I never planned on it...well I mean, I planned on finishing it and all that good stuff, but never planned on what the ending would be, if you know what I mean:\

Any ideas? I've never been the best at ending these things

Sounds good. I just e-mailed Dancing_Hobbit the link to this site, as she was slightly...well...lost. She'll be here in a tick (meaning a few days).

Re: Yippers...
:STRS :\ :o That's the closest I can come to a super-sheepish look. I'm infinately sorry for my late arrival, I have no good excuse, but the reasons have to do with inundations of work (junior year) and general computor-related inneptitude. Please forgive me. I'll get right to work reading and writting.

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story...and this one is very good. This one is perfect.

Well, if one of the splits gets hurt, Heather would not recieve their injury until she absorbed them again. And, if one of them is mortally injured, and dies (realllly bad) then she won't exactly die, not there, she'll just sort of fade away slowly.

Also, I completely forgot about Holly... Major screw-up on my part. I'll figure something out for the next post, which is gonna be in a little bit, hopefully. We're all doing Easter things, and the semester is ending, so I'm kinda busy, but I promise it'll come! :b
