wow!!!
This whole site blows my mind. I am 40 yrs. old and I was born w/an extra toe on each foot w/ apparently bones in, and a extra finger on the right hand no bone. I've never had a problem other than trying to find shoes that fit even after having the toes removed when I was one, until last year the right foot started curving inwards which caused the bone to stick out and I am on my feet all day so by the end of the day I was hurting. Last year I finally had surgery on it again to prepare it, the HMO paid for it all and I had a wonderful surgeon however a month after the surgery he stopped taking my insurance. This has made me very self consious about my feet my whole life to the point of wearing socks all the time even on the beach.
To any parent out there who is trying to decide whether to have the surgery for their child, do it the techniques today are outstanding and your child will be so thankful and probably will not endure the pain and cost later
