Zeth Floten Name: Zeth Floten Call Sign: Omega One Age: 29 Height: 5’9” Weight: 158 lb Hair: Crimson Eyes: Complete Black Ethnic: English Association: Black Omega(hired out to UPA) Biography: A veteran of the 0078 Side Separation Conflict, Zeth Floten had been inexperienced in all aspects of life beyond that of being son to a middle class manager in a factory. Most of his early life was dedicated to making an attempt at bettering himself through studying history. This action led to only anger as he realized how the colonies’ populations were much like past civilizations who rebelled. It was often mentioned by him at the table that eventually Earth would find itself trying to fight a hopeless war against the colonies. When the war started, Floten charged for the front lines, even though he lacked formal training beyond standard piloting courses and a minimum of combat lessons. Being placed in a squad of Zaku II pilots, he was proud to be a member of the militia, and fought to prove his worth, and hatred of the believed oppressor. Because of his almost trademark aggressive style, he became a prized pilot within the regiment he belonged to. The thirty-one kills he tallied before the war’s final fight made him the greatest ace of his unit, which he commanded by the end. Though he was pleased with the results, he did not like the concept of an end to the war. By the time it was concluding, his entire unit had become fond of fighting, and wished to continued. Therefore, one night in a bar, they talked their regimental commander into selling them their Zakus, and agreed to band into a mercenary unit when they were dismissed. The regiment was disbanded two months after Earth had fallen, in a battle at Ryma colony. This particular battle was the crowning glory for Floten, where he managed five more kills before the end, bringing his final total of confirmed kills to thirty-six. When his unit found itself off the colonial pay-roll, they enacted the plan developed war rocked the colonies. The only possible leader of their unit was Zeth, and assumed the position before it was offered. The group, needing a name to spread about, took their old squadron name of Black Omega. Soon, they were being contracted out by business men, colonial officials, and others needing jobs done without connecting themselves to the operations. The six Zakus, all painted black with an omega on their right breast, became well known in the underworld as guns worth their growing price. The money obtained was spent on suits. Though two of the unit’s six pilots would be killed in an operation because of the betrayal of their employer, Zeth was able to equip his remain three comrades with GM customs. He himself sponsored a gundam called Epyon. This weapon fit the tastes he developed with respect to melee armament, and served him for three years, up to present time. The force developed fame with every victory, and with each victory the suits would be modified slightly. Most of the funds would be saved for future use though, or dedicated to personal pleasures. The Omegas continue to sell their services into present day, but have found more and more missions being handed down from UPA officials.
