Hi Derek (and everyone else),

Yes, I'm sorry that the site has been so dead. It has been a difficult year for me as I had been out of work for a looong time and was quite down about it. However, that has changed as I now have a new job!!! YEAH!!! I was even headhunted by a former colleague - even better!

I also want everyone to know that Lish is out there and is thinking about us. Bless her heart, I received an email on Thursday from Lish's sister in fairly broken English, but the content was more than worth it. She was writing to wish me a Happy Birthday on Lish's behalf!! I was soooooo amazed and happy and glad. I was so very touched by her desire to contact me on my birthday. It made it an even more special day.

So, take heart everyone. Lish must still be on the mend. My only guess is that whatever happened to her has impaired her ability to use a keyboard.... That's the only thing I think could possibly keep her away from a computer!! I mean, even if she were flat on her back with broken bones, or something else like that, I'm sure she would have found a way to get a keboard set up so she could write... I hope I'm not speculating too wildly and starting rumors... these are just my .02 and, of course, my intuitive gut feelings.

Ok... must go for now, but let's be of good cheer everyone! And perhaps we can all write our greetings and wishes to Lish for her speedy recovery for everyone else to see!! In fact, I will start a thread just for that!!! We are a community in spirit and dedication to ancient Babylon, and we need to pull together and show that spirit!
