civil war balls? Hi! I civil war reenact (I live in the midwest). I often go to the dances. I think they are great fun! Honestly I think you are ok, as long as you and your dance partner are wearing gloves. one thing to remember, you can ALWAYS say no. :-) God Bless! Kim~ |

I reenact also (I also live in the Midwest!) I think balls are fine as long as you follow period rules; dance with many gentlemen, not just one. . I would think dancing with the same gentleman all evening would be rather a questionable practice, unless of course he is your friend/brother and you know him very well.
