Ok teen help me out with this one. I have a 13 year old who suddenly has dicovered boys. Ok the guys have always been there but now she sees them differently. I was allowed to date when I entered High School. My daughter is only 13 and feels she old enough to date already . I say NOT!! She still has one more year in Middle school. Are any of you dating and if so at what age did you start. And what exactly do teens call a date now a days. With the high rated of teen pregnancies. Is sex expected?

i started dating at thirteen and i am 14 turning 15 in july no sex is not expected dont worry about that. She should have boyfriends just make sure since she is thirteen that she does not date a guy over 15 years old until she is at least 15. But anyways dont worry let her go to the movies with a guy or go on a date but like give her an exact time to be home. Like my parents give to me. Good Luck!

13 is too young. at 13 kids should be able to go on "dates" if parents go along. take em to the movies or whatever then pick em up when movies over.
be firm! yer teen is just that, a teen; a child! dont let yer teen ever dictate to you how the rules go. sure theres peer pressure, but thats something all kids have to go through and should never be a deciding factor in a parents decisions! theres other parents that let their kids run wild, and both they and their kids will regret it in the long run. the 16 yr old in this forum pregnant twice already is proof of that.
guess its a moot point now that ive noticed yer post is almost 2 yrs old, but hope you have control of yer teen.
