Re: The Miracle
Ditto! Bravo to this eppy! I loved it! I had to watch it again afterwards b/c the TV screen was too blurry from all the tears. Geez, I'm the biggest cry baby I know! :lol

And woohoo! Finally some really touching M/L scenes. :D
I really got a kick out of the supermarket scene. Felt sorry for the Valentis and Tess not planning a more traditional Xmas dinner, but it was hilarious! Everyone did a terrific job - even the Christmas Nazi! :p

Regarding the show being preempted on Xmas day, I've read that they're going to preempt Popular next Friday (12/29) to show a repeat of tonight's eppy. Which I think is better. Not a lot of ppl are going to want to watch TV on Xmas night. I'm defenitely going to tape this eppy again. :p

Re: The Miracle
Hey Maria, as a "macho" male, I rarely shed tears watching TV, but even I couldn't stop a tear or two, especially after looking over and seeing tears coming out of Rose Marie's eyes. She commented through her tears that it was too bad Max couldn't help Kaylee (our granddaughter who has had health problems since being born two years ago).

On a brighter note, we tuned in too late to see the scene where the guy got hit by a car, but luckily I have it on tape. Loved Katie in the curly hair. Where was Alex?

Re: The Miracle
Finally.. the old Roswell back even if just for one show!
I laughed so hard at Michaels reaction when Maria was opening her gift... I watched it a few times and still laughed everytime!
Tess was the best she has been this season.. or last for that matter! She REALLY does have a heart... Good interaction between her and Kyle.. I liked the end when the Shariff had his arm around Tess. Kinda like she is REALLY becoming part of the family and not just a temp thing.
Never enough Max/Liz moments!
One thing I did find interesting was Kyle's comment.. when watching football.. "If ones heart and mind are not in balance the body is the first to fail.." Just thought that is described Max...
Well I will be off...
I won't comment on that person's remark about Max at the window or his reflextion.. etc.. I will leave it alone!!!
for now!
Have a good day.. and even you Brian...
Oh.. wait.. "WHAT DO YOU DO NOW MAX".. now that line hasn't been used enough I am sure.. OK I COULDN'T LEAVE IT ALONE! :lol

HELP PLEASE!
I hate, I hate, I *hate* my VCR. I set it to record "The Miracle" last night and much to my chagrin, something went wrong and it didn't record. So now here I am, having missed yet another apparently fantastic episode, about ready to cry. Does anyone know where I could find a detailed summary or transcripts for this episode. Or, if not that, does anyone know when this eppy might be replaying? I'd be forever in your debt. Either reply to this post or email me at Jessica@Brumley.com

I have heard that this episode will be rerun on Friday, December 29 in place of Popular.

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
My 2 cents, of course...

There were 2 scenes that brought tears to my eyes. One was the healing scene as Max stumbled from bed to bed and the other was Michael's honesty about being pissed he doesn't have the gift to heal. It's rare that we get any kind of honest emotion from Michael and it just tore me up that he saw himself as inadequate to Max.

Now, about that healing scene. It was both heartwarming and heartwrenching. I will never get tired of seeing Jason Behr act. My personal barometer of someone's acting abilities is if they can make me cry when they cry. As soon as Max's eyes started to tear from the burden he was taking on, my eyes started to tear also. He's amazing. It just kills me that he is on a WB show - and the WB gets no respect when it comes to awards. The guy deserves an Emmy. He was so gentle and tender with those kids - you can't act that kind of stuff. He (Jason) seems to be a gentle person. Okay, I'll step down off the soap box now.

I think in all, this episode epitomized all that Christmas is supposed to be - doing things for the people you love and showing the people you love that you care about them. I loved Tess trying to make a little family of her own, something she has obviously never had, and the Valentis being the beneficiaries of her good will. I loved the astounded way Kyle looked at her, and the bonding scenes between Kyle and his dad. I loved Isabel bailing Michael out, knowing he was really trying hard and failing. I also liked that she caught him every time he called her a Nazi and let him off the hook anyway. Brendan's expressions when dealing with her were priceless. Maria's babble about marrying Brody was a bit bizarre, but it got the point across - she's a good person, too, and she would sacrifice parts of her life to help someone she cared about.

I found in interesting that the roles were reversed with Michael being afraid that Max was going to do something stupid. It was good to see some positive Michael/Max moments. I think Michael really cares about Max, but he's probably a bit envious of him and it comes out as hostility.

I need a hat like Isabel's Christmas tree hat! :)

A very warm, fuzzy episode on a very cold December night. I loved it! Merry Christmas (or Happy Hanukha - I just know I spelled that wrong), everybody!

Oh, yeah, and I forgot to mention - did anyone notice the donkey smile made a special appearance? :lol

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
I thought of something else. Let's see a show of hands -

How many of us want to see the sheriff and Amy get together if only to see Kyle, Tess and Maria as housemates? :lol

Show of hands #2 -

How many of us would REALLY like to redecorate the Valenti's home???

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
I LOVED this episode. Couldn't tell you how many times I have watched it:) I think they did an excellent job of bringing back the old Roswell that we all know and love. Not that I don't appreciate what they have done this season, but it was nice to see the "original" Roswell we all fell in love with:)

They did a great job mixing in emotion as well as laughter. The scenes with Tess and Kyle were touching and it was great to see Michael and Maria acting their old selves together. There could have been a little more Max and Liz but there was enough to satisfy me for the night:rollin

Okay....that is about it. I am off to rewatch! Just kidding...I actually do have a life outside of watching Roswell :)

Yeah MM, I was thinking that if the Sheriff and Amy got married, then Kyle and Maria would be step-brother/sister. A little weird. If the three of them end up housemates I think it could make for several hilarious scenes.
Another thing that struck me as weird last night was the M/M thing. Maybe I missed something along the way (again) but I didn't think they were really "back together." I know they kind of ended their stand off in the Granolith chamber at the end of "Summer of '47" and again when she helped him search Courtney's apartment in "Harvest" but I thought he was still unwilling to have a real relationship because he is "destined to be this soldier." (as he said in "Skin & Bones", I believe) At any rate, that was the first time that they kissed this season, wasn't it?

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
Brian - the whole Michael/Maria thing has been weird. I don't think Maria ever realized that they broke up (remember in "Surprise" she told Courtney Michael was taken?). In this ep she even called him her "non-boyfriend" or something like that. What an odd relationship. I found it strange that Michael was sweating about what gift to give her when she isn't even his girlfriend and he hasn't made an attempt to make her that. I don't know about you, but I don't fret that much over what to get someone I consider just a friend!

Mikey G's in denial.

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
I think we all missed something here... M/M were a bit together in this one. Spaceboy is what she calls him isn't it? So Max and Liz haven't talked in weeks I take it because he said.. "remember when we said we would try to be friends?" Well MITC happened in around Thanksgiving.. umm 3 weeks ago (4 weeks by their time frame).. he said he would see her tomorrow (end of MITC)
I don't know I find a whole piece of time missing... (or should I say to much time for M/M because we missed them getting back together, and Liz and Max lost a few weeks...) and Alex was off somewhere and weird no one mentioned him... ALEX WHO? but lets face it from day one the writers have had a problem with time (beginning of pilot.. Sept 23 and I'm Liz Parker 5 days ago I died... end of Pilot.. Sept 24 and I'm Liz Parker and 5 days ago I died) make up their damn minds on what day she got shot!!!
ok.. Done..
have a nice evening everyone.. even you Oh Holy Generic One..
FEB. SWEEPS HURRY AND GET HERE...
I was thinking.. again... Maybe Tess (of all people) tells Max about Liz and Kyle... hmmm wouldn't that make it interesting...

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
This was an amazing episode! It was absolutely beautiful and well worth the wait! What can I say? It was well written, everyone in the cast did a superb job, I loved just about all the scenes. I loved the Christmas Nazi, Michael's scenes with Isabel and Max were quite funny. Max, was wonderful (as always) his guilt over not being able to save the man that was hit by the car was wrenching to watch. And when he healed the kids in the hospital, that was so touching it brought tears to my eyes. There were some very funny moments too. When the sheriff says he's concerned that what Kyle was saying was starting to make sense to him was hilarious. A very memorable line. All of the scenes with Tess, Kyle and the sheriff were fun to watch too.

I have to agree that this episode felt more like the original Roswell we all love so much. Kudos to the cast and crew! Bravo!!!

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and happy New Year!

Re: A Roswell Christmas Carol
Rewatching old eps since I can't seem to locate any new ones (<ahem>), and last night I rewatched this one and something hit me as funny.

Does anyone find Liz's speech to Max about there being a "master plan" kind of hypocritical? I mean, didn't she alter the course of history? What if the world was SUPPOSED to end 14 years from now? And yet she lectures Max on maybe there being a reason for those kids getting sick? Well, maybe there was a reason for the world ending.

Just a thought. I'm obviously bored.
