This is all we know (from CD Spoiler section) for the finale thus far...

BTW, it will only be an hour long. There was some speculation that it could maybe be 2 hrs (which would have been cool!) but last I read/saw it'll only be the usual hour.
THE ALIENS SAY GOODBYE IN THEIR FINAL HOURS ON EARTH — Max (Jason Behr), Isabel (Katherine Heigl), Michael (Brendan Fehr) and Tess (Emilie de Ravin) struggle with goodbyes on what they believe to be their last night on Earth before they travel back to their home planet. In the final hours, Max frantically searches for the killer that is still out there and threatens the lives of everyone they love.
Ok, this last sentence seriously has me wondering....

I hope throwing "Off The Menu" between "Baby, It's You" and this one ("Departure") doesn't totally throw things out of whack...although I have a feeling it kinda will.
It'll be interesting to see if the beginning of "Departure" picks up where the end of "Baby, It's You" left off--and that they had 24 hours from that night on the bridge when Michael handed over the translation and crystal to say goodbye and prepare to head HOME??? Hmmm...

Looks like this is it guys! WB isn't going to renew Roswell (at least that is the word out) and unless UPN does.. its GONE... Although if UPN picks it up and puts it behind Buffy.. its a sure win over the WB for that night.

i KNEW I didn't like her! I was right! She killed Alex! Little brat! Ok, now if there was only a way to save Max's son AND have it be Liz's! Or or find out it's not real! I knew I didn't like Nasedo! Kniving little liar! She mind warped Alex to death! Now, Leanna is not alien, but she was with Alex, who is she? Why do we I have to wait over 3 months for a new episode? Only part I hate about summer! Anyone willin to sell me both seasons for under 50$? Thats the offer I have from someone right now.
Alex and Isabel- So cute. Wish little Alex was still alive for her.

Truth about Tess and Future Max- Needed to know so could make the 4 square in advance!
Speculation- Could our ever loving and hating Future Max have been a mind warp? It was all to coincidental see just happened to be there when Max needed someone.
What to do now- Max and Liz be like Maria and Michael, tell the truth and then be the second in alien human relations! Although I though better of you, you should have been the first! Get some of those Michael worshipin skins, maybe find some Max lovin ones and spy and find out what to do!
What to do about Bob- Buy a new one and name it Bob Jr!
What to do about the tape- BURN IT! And then go tell your parents anyway!
What to do about my sig- Fix it so that its better
What to keep- Michael! I want a little Michael, can I steal him? And maybe a good ole ORIGINAL Max? Come on UPN, lend me the rights to them for a night

OK... WOW,, its over.. I have to say.. all in all I liked it. LOTS OF IT WAS CUT OUT.. and that ticked me off.. You can tell that in the jeep scene with Max and Liz parts were cut. Just before he says he wishes things could be different I think is where the whole future Max thing came in.. I don't know really now what to think of F.M. If they went 14 years W/O doing the whole Max Tess crap and Tess knows what she has to do (get prego, and hand over the royal 3) Then that makes me think F.M was not real... Lots of confusion there... Also.. something Tess said bothers me.. They are NOT MY ENEMIES.. AND with Ava's statement that She didn't think Zan was ever in love with her but that he was waiting for someone to come into his life... now with those statement it makes me think she IS NOT the bride... but a pawn in a dangerous game, to get prego with the "Prince" What was Kavair wanting to do with Tess, and why would he trust her to do that even AFTER Nasado died? Why would the skins kill Nasado, if he was working for the good of Kavair? We know from MITC that no matter what Kavair wanted Max dead.. either after he made the deal or if he refused it... GOD TO MUCH!!!
BUT FINALLY.. MAX AND LIZ.. hey why is it that M/M do all the first.. they kissed first.. now the Human/Alien relations.... We found out that the flashes didn't make Liz all that special huh? WHAT ABOUT HER POWERS.. they better do something about that next season... I liked Kyle! His reaction to carrying Alex's body out was GREAT.... He got to yell at Tess... and what is Tess calling Liz a B*&ch? and Max defending Liz.. God so much going through my head I can't keep it straight..
I will say my favorite part... Liz telling Max all she did for him, and when she said.. she saved herself for him.. the look on their faces... PRICELESS... Liz looking like she slipped, and Max looking like he was slapped in the face...
Favorite line: Not like I love you.....
hurry up Aug. and get here... No waiting until Oct. like last season.... Here is a thought.. can the UPN show the season 1 and 2 during rerun season? or are those owned by the WB? Wouldn't that be great for them to get people caught up? Show 2 shows a week during the summer. or hell even 1 a day... ok so thats far fetched!!! but an idea!!!
WHO IS THEIR SHAPESHIFTER? and why would it let Nasado do what he did? Maybe CWW didn't kill Nasado but took credit for it???? Why would Nasado warn Max about the skins? Ok I will stop...

I originally posted this on the Spoilers thread, but think maybe it's better to be on this thread.
I rarely post on threads related to episodes because I'm not as up to date on all the nuances as many people are. The dreamers on this board, most of whom I consider my friends, have lamented throughout this season about how things weren't going their way. I kept quiet, but I believed that if everything always went the way we wanted, it wouldn't really be good drama.
From being exposed to spoilerish information, I thought that there wouldn't be much point to a third season because I thought all the pods would have returned to their home planet. But it turns out, all except Tess are still in Roswell.
As far as Tess is concerned, I had been led to believe she had been killed off. After watching the episode, it appears she returned to her planet with her unborn child. It appears that there will be a story line where Max tries to save that child, since he said as much.
At first I didn't understand why they trashed the jeep, but then I realized they were attempting to make it look as if they had all been killed in an accident, to explain their disappearance.
I would think the dreamers would be happy with this episode. Max got back together with Liz, Micheal consummated his relationship with Maria, and Tess was shown to be the evil person that we thought she was. Is a romance between Kyle and Isabel in the works? In emotional scenes some of the loose ends were tied up, e.g. Max finally learning that Liz had not slept with Kyle. (By the way, I have always felt that the euphemism of "sleeping with" for "having sex with" or "making love with" is silly. People have slept all night with a member of the opposite sex without having sex, and people have had sex with people they didn't sleep with.)
Well I've been as long winded as I've been since I wrote the Fanfic called "Roswell, the Movie". Hope you all have enjoyed "Departure" as much as I did - the best show this season.
OK - FINALLY! - I'm here...WOWWOWWOWWOWWOW!!!!!!!!
The first 20 minutes of "Departure" had me trembling. Kind of lame (I didn't know, yet, that UPN picked Roswell up), afraid that the series was gonna end with a pathetic wimper. But WOW!!!!!!! What an episode... I haven't hit the spoiler threads for about six weeks now. Last I checked there was talk about mind warping and the baby not being real but WOW!! I had no idea when it all came down. Ok, so Tess turns out to be the snake. You all hoped for it and now it came true. But it looks like she's REALLY pregnant (we'll see). IMM, you have a lot of the same questions about Nasedo that I do. Something doesn't seem to fit (as usual). Looks like Tess was in league with CWW in "Surprise!" This all blindsided me, DID NOT see it coming at all. AT ALL!!! JK is the master! He should write every eppy and spare us "Hybrid Chronicles" type stuff. WOW!! There will be a season THREE!!! Psyched...............the possibilities are endless. Good time slot, too!!!
My internet connection here in NY SUKS big time. I miss my cable hookup that I had in Vegas. Here it takes like 10 minutes for each page of this board to load. I haven't had the patience up until now. But I promise I'll be more active during our LOOOOOOONNNGG summer vigil, as we wait for S3. Hope we get some reruns, at least....

Someone please tell me S3 does not start the last week of August. I'll be in Columbus for training that week.
Okay, about last night's ep. I absolutely loved it! Here are some thoughts:
* You know we've entered an alternate universe when Liz spazzes over something Maria doesn't (them leaving) and Max wants to leave and Michael is the one who wants to stay.
* I loved that Max explained home to Isabel as being about the people, not about the place.
* I really expected Max to ask Tess what she'd been mind warping him into doing while she was mind warping everyone else. I mean, at this point how does he know if she's even pregnant? My advise to UPN - get rid of the baby storyline. Let Max find out he was duped.
* Wow, Tess is an evil one, huh? Poor Alex, poor Kyle, poor Leanna. She didn't care who got in her way. I have to wonder why she didn't harm Liz to get her out of Max's mind long ago. Marice - it looks like you got the villain you were looking for
* Why didn't Maria wonder why Liz was camped at her house?
* The mind warp wears off after a while, huh?
* They needed to leave the FMax part in the jeep scene. So Max is left wondering why Liz set him up? I think it would be cheating us if they just let us assume Liz fills him in over the summer. If time was the issue, they could have (read 'should have') cut the creepy scene between Valenti and Tess. What was with that? Ew.
* I actually got chills when Tess said, "They're not my enemies." The deal was made 40 years ago? Before she was even born? Nasedo must have really pounded it into her that his deal was all that mattered. I guess Nasedo was a little evil, too, huh?
* The scenes with M&M were very sweet. And a little nookie to boot! I am not surprised that they went first - they kissed first, too. BTW - Scooby plates! "So, Michael, what did you do on your last night on earth?" "Well, I had sex - and ate off a Scooby plate."
* I have to wonder - we didn't see any flashes when Max and Liz kissed in the jeep? Does that mean that Max didn't let her see them?
* Max has a murderous side, I see. Very strange world we've entered. Although, it does show that he is taking responsibility in his role as king to take care of the situation, even if it meant killing Leanna. When he raised his hand to Tess, I didn't think he was going to kill her, but I was hoping he'd b*tch slap her into tomorrow...and I'd've given this week's pay to see a cat fight between Liz and Tess
* Katie just breaks my heart. Did she cry for the whole ep? It sure seemed like it. I felt so bad for Isabel when she was eating dinner with her parents and realizing it was the last time she'd be with them.
* What's the point of staging your death if you're leaving behind a tape saying you're leaving? BTW - where is that tape???
* I like the scene where everyone said goodbye to the sheriff. How far we've come since last year, huh?
* Speaking of last year, I liked the parallels between the two years in the final scene. Last year, it was the podsters standing on the rocks and Tess asking what happened next and Max having no answers. This year, it's everyone (except Tess) on the rocks, Isabel asking what's next and Max knowing exactly what to do. Excellent.

BRIAN IS THAT REALLY YOU??? HOW THE HELL ARE YOU??? WE (I) HAVE MISSED YOU! Figures we have the same questions about Nasado...
Here is another thing... Tess and Kyle were at the Crashdown when Alex was killed... Oh wait... Liz and Maria left while it was still light out.. so all that must have happened in the missing few hours.. Ok.. see I answer my own thoughts!
Why did Nasado save Liz? Still don't get it.. and another thing who was the leaking pod? Tess saying why couldn't Max ever feel that way about her.. (when he told her not to talk about Liz like that...) Maybe it wasn't just here on Earth... the word EVER... hmmmm could it be Max/Zan had a love on the side??? Wishful thinking.. but hey IT could happen.... Still didn't answer who was watching them.... GOD NOT THE WHOLE SUMMER... this is just nuts... nerve wracking...
I don't know what week the UPN will decide to start its season but it is supposed to happen in Aug.
I am happy that I can like Max again.. I mean... looks aren't everything... Oh Oh Oh.. did anyone notice the look on Max's face when he kissed Tess and she saw Liz.. then said Oh don't worry you won't remember her where we are going... WHY WOULDN'T HE??? How did she know that? Can't he connect to dots by himself or must Liz do it all for him... Now Liz is sounding like the wife!
Well I must get going.. my kids are at each other AGAIN.. CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!!
