Wow, lot of posts and things brought up since I was on here last time. Ok here I go...
IMM, Vicki & Midwest Max--I agree...creeped me out the way Tess was looking at CWW's picture. WEIRD!!! I was starting to warm up to her, too, but now I'm not so sure. She still seems suspicious to me. Something just doesn't add up. Hmmm....
MM--I think the reunion between M/L will be sweeter, too. I think the writers have it all carefully planned out. I, too, like Courtney. And like you said, Brian, I love how she can zing Maria right back with the comments...makes for fun and interesting conversations. Her "I've been a babe for 50 years..." comment had me cracking up. She's funny. Don't necessarily want her with Micahel, but like her humor.
IMM--As for who may be coming for Max.....see my new post under the 'Season 1/Tess, Lies, & Videotape' thread that I put this morning after watching T,L&V now that we've seen some stuff this season.
Marice--Good point about them possibly breaking up because of the Skins on the home planet, too, even though FM said it had to do with Tess leaving. Hmmm.... Could be a possibility, and maybe a future realization/development.
roswelfax--You have brought up some GREAT points! You bring a lot to the discussion and I hope to see you posting more often with all of us obsessed fans after each episode (as you can tell from all our posts!) And *THANK YOU* for the compliment about this being one of the friendliest forums to discuss Roswell...we love that and that's why we post here constantly! That's been the Vegas Crew's goal and it has stayed that way from day one. It's a very friendly and comfortable environment here...it's a nice place to come and talk. Glad you joined us!
Now, about stuff you've mentioned...
I agree with you about them all being one race and just differing more "politically" (to coin a term from Courtney and that goes along with the Pres. race and all right now) than racially. WELL SAID! And perhaps Mom-O-Gram (that's all I have to call her--their mother) sent them all four back here, hoping that they wouldn't remember or could change the fate of their people (esp. Is betraying Max) by carrying things out differently. Hmmmm..... And good point about Courtney possibly trying to get to Michael with the whole "follower of the rebellion thing" to learn more about the location of Granolith...BUT still I don't really think she's that bad...I think something in her has changed since she first got there to investigate him. She seems more on their side/trying to help them more now. Interesting...

As for who won President....Wasn't it Max Evans? Or should we call him President Evans? I like the sound of that. Now who will be first lady. He is MAD at Liz and well he treats Tess as more of a buddy. That's what the Wb.com was saying about who won.

Anyway, the reason for my visit (other than to annoy you all): IMM - I don't think there has to be someone coming after Max necessarily. If they're trying to uncover the location of the Granolith I would think they'd go after those who they thought would turn against their kind. Isabel, if she'd turned before, would be an obvious choice. They probably figured her as the least powerful member of the four, as well, but they underestimated her. Izzy can kick a little butt when she has to.
I don't quite know if we're even yet, Lis. I'm sure you'll have to get me back for the picture.
Wow roswelfax, you're coming on like a runaway train. Great posts. I don't know about the 'one race' theory, though. If its all political I think you would have evil Skins and shapeshifters intermingled. But all we've seen is groups of all Skins. When Nasedo died at the end of "Skin & Bones" he warned Max of The Skins as if they were different from The Royal Four and himself. You could be right, though. Maybe a subtle variation of a single species. I just think that they wouldn't all be Skins if it was merely political.
I did notice how that Greer guy called Max "the once and future king." Hmm, does he know something we don't?
I've wondered myself why, amidst all this talk of betrayals, why the Royal Four was sent together. What I think is kind of what Neeners said. That they knew they wouldn't remember anything. If any treason took place it must have been circumstantial and forgivable. They thought that the "essences" were good and that their good nature would triumph in a second life.
I think the Skins need the Granolith to get back home. Something might have happened to their mode of transportation. Or maybe they really didn't have a firm grasp on the rule of the home planet and had limited resources to travel to Earth. Those resources might have been exhausted on the trip but it was a trip they had to make to insure that the Royal Four was exterminated. Maybe that's the only real chance they have to truly rule. Maybe beyond getting rid of the royals they also need the power of the Granolith to take over. Their plan - learn of the location of the Granolith, then kill the royals and return home to take over. I think the reason Courtney's skin was being grown in Copper Summit was because the rebellious faction of The Skins may have been a secret, underground thing. I'm pretty sure she was in with Whitaker and The Vilandra Project (in "Surprise!" when Izzy breaks the glass Court says "Let me get that, this is your night," slyly, as if she knows what's in store for Is later in the night. And the only way she would know that was if she was aligned with Whitaker). She had the ulterior motive of ensnaring Michael in the rebel's plan but she kept that to herself. The Skins as a whole might not of known that this rebel faction existed. And I think she was telling the truth about the whole thing. Why else would she sacrifice her developing skin to save Michael? She, in effect, forfeited her life to save his. It'll be interesting seeing how she fits in with the group next week as she is big on Mikey G and wants Max dead.
Vicki - I saw the 'Roswell Movie' spoiler on my VERY FIRST visit to the LVC's wonderful board here. Haven't seen it since. I've been a good boy, really.
I had heard previously that Roswell would be preempted the first week of December but would return the following week. Now, according to Crashdown, we get "Max in the City" on Nov. 27 but don't get the next episode "To Serve and Protect" until JANUARY 8TH!! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?!?!?!?!? Over a month without a new show?!?!? Maybe not even reruns, maybe Christmas specials. I'M GETTING NERVOUS (withdrawl, weakening.....fading.......fading), CAN SOMEONE SAY IT ISN'T SO?!?!? AARRRGGGHHH!!!

Well I loved the speculations about the show. I too thought it weird that Courtney would have a new husk growing with all the "nonMichael worshipers" STRANGE...
You know.. I was just thinking.. who was the one to bring up the depressing news about Roswell going into the Holidays? Oh yeah... BRIAN.. THANKS AGAIN.. you always seem to brighten the day.. (Just think.. when you weren't here for awhile I worried.. Imagine if I didn't like you?? I would have no one to make wise cracks too...)
I just think they will keep us all guessing.. And that is what the show is supposed to do... Thats why we love it so much..

We know for sure that Tess knows the location of the granolith. At the beginning of Summer of '47 she was in the rear of the pod chamber where the granolith is along with the other four. They decided to investigate after school. Michael asked her if Nasedo ever mentioned the "rock collection" and Tess asked "Do you think it can hear us?". The point is she knows the location of the granolith. If she were in league with the skins she could have told them the location already.
Tess might have her secrets but so do the other three. I don't think Michael told them Hal Carver's story or the fact that he revealed himself to Hal. I don't think Isabel has told anyone that she was supposed to have been Vilandra in a previous life.

And, Brian, I noticed that schedule on Crashdown, too. I bet you're all right...they'll probably show reruns (or maybe nothing at all) over December. Vicki, I too, remember them doing reruns over December last year. So, perhaps that's what they'll do this year, too. Who knows. It is a bummer we'll have to go a whole month without a new episode.

Great point about YOU KNOW WHO... knowing about the Big Rock thing... There is still something up with her. I never thought she was a skin.. I just think she betrayed Max.. (how dare she, doesn't she know that all of us ----women---- would be willing to be HIS
bride.. geez) When CWW was saying all the stuff to Izzy.. was Tess knocked out? I mean wouldn't she have heard it.. Tess remembers some of this things that happened on their planet. She said that Nasedo showed her how to retrieve memories.. She also told Kyle that she never wanted to be Max's mate.. (oh yeah right,,, like when she saw him she just said to herself.. Please I have be with him yuck??)
I liked the end of Harvest when Max's shield goes out and who is there when he falls? Liz... (anyone notice that Tess used her powers to open the doors.?)

Hey roswelfax - Thanks for the observations about Tess. This board is starting to warm up to Tess ever so slightly, maybe this will help a little. And let me just say this - I do not want to see Max and Tess get together. Sure, I'm really big on Tess and I claim to be the AntiDreamgirl, but I do not want to see that happen. The character of Max has his heart set on Liz and nothing else will make him happy. Him with Tess would just be artificial, a rebound kind of a thing that would lead nowhere. I don't particularly want to see Emilie making out with anyone, anyway. Even if it is just "acting." That's me. My women are "kept" women!
We don't get to see you on these Season 2 threads enough Ryal. But when you do show your face (and that picture that twists my stoamch into knots which was inexplicably missing today - at least I can't see it) you crack me up. Your post today just about knocked me out of my chair! You made my day, dude!!
And last but not least - Vicki - you made my day with that picture, too!!! Wow!! I've seen a lot of the pictures from that party around the board but I don't recall this one. Legs and all!! Thanks so much!!
