Oh, boy!
Hey, great episode! I won't post anything because I know the west-coasters are a few hours away from seeing this, but it definitely gets a big thumbs up!

First reaction: YES!! YES!! YES!! YES!!! YES!! YES!! YESSSSSSS!!! YES!! YES!!! YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!! YES!! YES!! YES!!!!!!! Not only does Tess live through this eppy but she saves the day!!!!!!! Eat THAT Dreamgirls! The only reason that Max & Liz may or may not get back together in the future is because Tess saved his butt!!! That's my girl!! WOW! That firey ending was better than sex!! This is me with the mandatory post-consummation cigarette ->
I thought the episode was pretty weak until the last 15min. It just never seemed to focus or get any pace going. Usually we get things that are mysterious and we all speculate but tonight some things just didn't make sense. Why did Isabel try to confront Nickolas alone?!? What did she hope to accomplish? She knew she was out gunned, so unless she was going to betray them all her visit just didn't make any sense. But the last 15 was unbelievable. Tess going all supernova (!!!!!), an emotional reunion between Maria, Liz, and Kyle, and (gasp!) the 'Vilandra' secret comes out, AND (double gasp!!) Nickolas is still alive (you knew he had to be, even if it wasn't for the fact that WB announced he would be around for at least 3 episodes, if he really is as powerful as Courtney said he was you knew what Tess did wasn't enough to torch him).
On to next week and what may be one of the craziest eppys yet. The duplicates, the fact that Liz may spill her guts to Max, the mystery of what exact fate befalls Dupe Max, Michael/Maria?, Tess/Kyle?, Tess/Max?, Liz/Max?, was that Dupe Michael kissing Liz in the promo?!?, what role will Nickolas have in all this, AND just what DOES THIS ALL MEAN?!? I have a feeling that the show is about to shake things up (even further) and take us in a whole new direction and veer into uncharted waters! WOW!!

Well.. now that I got to think about this one.. I thought it was a thumbs up.. (Like I would ever think any of them were a thumbs down.. PLEASE)Well.. let me just say to see Jason... WOW.. Anything with him in it is good..
CHOKE.. CHOKE.. OK OK BRIAN.. Tess was all right.. I will give you that one. The fire ball thing.. well that was OK...(notice how I play her DOWN) but MAX.. WOW! Just his presents brighten my day!!! Kyle was really GOOD.. they need to use more of him. I like the line he had.. Max ALL WAYS knows!!! I liked this one because of the use of Kyle.. He really has changed.. even likable!!
I hope Liz spills her guts to Max tears and all!.. She needs to the guilt is killing her, and if she doesn't ... Maria will.. so watch out MAX... you are about to have sunshine hit you head on!! (of course this probably won't happen until after the re run break) Max was betrayed by Iz, Michael and from what he thinks.. Liz.. COME ON.. How much can one good looking man handle??? Oh and you know.. sooner or later Tess will also betray him (seems to be a trend among the podsters.) Poor Max..
I am still stuck on the skin turning to dust in Liz's hand, but not when Maria touched it in Courtney's apartment... There is something to that.. I just know it.
Oh and in the previews for next week.. is that Michael's dup. kissing Liz? May in the Dups Max is really Michael.. I was just surprised to see him kiss Liz.. Weird.. I watched it a few times and I am sure that was Michael... (lets see Michael has kissed all the women on that show, except Tess...)

I really liked Wipe Out, in part because there were a lot of Covina scenes which I watched being filmed this season, the most I've seen in one episode.

who else had a flash of Power Rangers when Tess kicks the skin and it turns to dust? well not much more information this week. At least Max found out that Isabel was keeping the Vilandra secret from him and that Michael is willing to betray him

WOW!!! Really liked this one. First, I'm with you IMM, with the skin turning to dust in Liz's hand...SYMBOLIC!!! I about shreaked with excitement when I saw that happen...it's GOT to mean something...(and most of us spoiler junkies know what that might be). Awesome developments though! Oh, and Max will find out the truth about Liz/Kyle...either from Liz herself or Maria--did you see Maria's reaction when Liz said something about it before disappearing? The truth will surface.
Loved Nick/Kyle in the episode! Had some great lines and was sweet/funny all in one. I like seeing him more and hope they only keep putting him in more scenes. Nice reunion between Maria/Liz/Kyle at the end...nice to see. <3
Forgive me Brian, but the whole fireball/Tess thing at the end seemed too much (stupidly fake) to me. Thought it was way overdone...plus why would the hallucination (because she did just make them see something that wasn't really there) cause all the skins to turn to dust??? Did they kill themselves by smashing that button like Courtney did or what? Weird. Didn't like that part though. Tess was good in other parts, but didn't like the fireball thing nor did I like the whole thing after hiding them all in the bathroom (cool that she did that) but the whole aftwards thing with her (badly acted) stamering over to the barstool...didn't think it was acted very well there. Don't get me wrong BRIAN I like Emilie and usually think she's a good actress, but sometimes her scenes seem poorly done. Just my opinion. Thought the whole ep was good, kinda had you on the edge of your seat wondering what would happen next with the skins.
Oh, and let's hear it for Courtney...what a good friend. Killing herself before Nikolas could learn the location of the granolith. I liked her, will miss her funny sense of humor. Great job, SARA DOWNING!
Loved the comment by Nikolas to Michael when they were torturing them about "love the hair, hope you win" or something.
Ok, now is there anything Jason B can't do and not look cute while doing it?!?! Too cute at the beginning while eating his mom's Martha Stewart creation...even while talking with his mouth full he was adorable. And his trying not to smile/laugh in the middle of it...TOO FUNNY!
Noticed Dup Michael kissing Liz in the preview for next week...definitely weird to see. Well, now Brendan has kissed more girls on the show than Jason! Can't wait to see this ep...like Brian said--it's going to be one of the craziest! Write more later when I think about it/review it some more.

And, IMM--It does take a while for it to come up at work for me now all of a sudden (didn't use to before changed the look and all), but it doesn't at other computers. So, maybe it's just cuz my work computer is slower than the others I've used where it doesn't take as long to load. With the new revamped look, takes longer on slower machines I guess. Longer than it used to...more stuff to download (setting screen up) ya know. Who knows...just wanted to let you know you're not the only one.

On the subject of kissing. Steve and I both noticed that last night. Michael has kissed all the girls but Tess, wouldn't be surprised if he does at one point. Also Liz gets around. She has kissed all the boys except Alex. HMMM!
90210 writers? Must be! PLEASE don't make this a Kelly, Brenda and Dylan thing between Tess, Liz and Max. I hated when they did that on 90210, it took some of the spark from the show. OK so that show didn't have the fireworks Roswell does. I just fear that the writers will try that road. PLEASE NO! OK back to reality.

Tina this is the only place this happens to.. I mean I can pull up 2 or 3 web sites and this one is still loading. Its a new computer (about 2 weeks old) so believe me its not slow at much! I am thinking about getting that fast phone line thingie put in.. I also can't display a picture, it doesn't keep my logged in, and I can't do the reply thing.. where I don't have to put in a subject... I talked to AOL and they said its just the board.. so well there I am STUCK..
Oh I was thinking.. When Michael kissed Liz.. shall we take bets on if she gets flashes? I was thinking about that.. Now I can't wait to see if she gets them or not.. MY bet is that she will.. so anyone else care to comment...
Oh another thing..and Brian.. I know that you are going to say.. But I just don't think that Tess should ware the short tops.. until she starts working out with Max.. ha ha.. well just a thought... I WILL WORK OUT WITH HIM.. I work out everyday anyway.. so why not with him!!

Sorry, Brian, Tess didn't save the day. Maria did. And I'm with you, Neeners - I thought we'd escaped the cheesy sci-fi moment until the fireball thing. Just proves that Tess is Satan (read "evil"). By the way, after the bathroom scene, did anyone notice that Max left comforting Tess to go comfort Liz?
I've decided if JB isn't going to be half nude, he has to at least wear that shirt every week. Oh, my...
Loved Max's look of relief when he sees Liz hasn't disappeared. Also, I liked the look he got when he was standing in Liz's bedroom and remembered seeing her with Kyle - he does that "kicked dog" look better than anyone.
I don't know why, but I laughed when Liz disappeared. And I like Liz. I guess it was just the irony of the fate of mankind being left to the brain trust of Maria and Kyle (their arguing over how electricity works was priceless).
Glad to see some scenes with Maria and Liz. They have great best friend chemistry and it has been missing.
Courtney - wow. Told you I liked her. I thought the bathtub scene was a bit brutal considering she saved all of their lives in AZ.
Some questions:
Why was the sheriff the only one to act strange before he disappeared?
Is Liz going to spill? (She has to at least tell Maria since she sort of spilled to her already)
What happened to Brody's alien device and why didn't it go off this time when Michael entered the museum?
Didn't you just know Kyle was going to throw the fish back?
And the best question - why is Liz SMILING when Dup Michael kisses her next week?
I'm with you, Neeners - I was adding up all of the women Michael (in one form or another) has kissed and Mrs. Evans is about the only one he's missed!!
Re: This board IMM--I use AOL at home, too. Try this. Go to the main Alien Encounters board. Up at the top with "My Control Center" and "Logout" and such, there is a "Help" link. Click on it and on the right (in red) are some issues...down a few is one that says "Having trouble validating my account and I use AOL" or something like that--it mentions AOL--you'll know you're at the right one. Click on that and see what happens/what they tell you. The other thing I tried was, instead of while you're in AOL opening it by typing in the URL or using it from your favorites (whatever you do).....minimize AOL and open Internet Explorer and do it from there. I think when you type in a URL or website while in AOL (where you see your mailbox and stuff) it uses Internet Explorer, but not sure. Try minimizing AOL and opening Internet Explorer yourself and going to it that way. See if that perhaps fixes your issue. I don't know what that link says when you click on it (under the Help section), but try it and see. Weird that it won't keep your picture or anything. I was having trouble with it keeping/showing me logged in, but that's fixed now. I turned off my Security Lock thing and it's fine. You can also click on a link under Help that's about having trouble logging in. Click on it and send an email and they'll help you. Hope that gives you a few options.
Other things-- I didn't notice Liz SMILING when Dup Michael kisses her next week...interesting. Have to watch the preview again. Hmmm.... Don't know if she'll get flashes when he kisses her, IMM, didn't think about it. Maybe she does and THAT'S WHY she's smiling?!?!
Loved the science/electricity conversation between Kyle/Maria, too.
And LOVED how Liz "slipped" in front of Maria about the her and Kyle thing and how she didn't even get to tell Max the truth. I know it...the truth will come out and Max will be happy and more in love than before. I'm beginning to think that spoilers I read quite a few weeks/a month ago might be right on the ball about Liz and the "healing" and everything else. Those of you who've read them will know what I mean...the rest of you, don't freak and run to the spoiler boards...I think it'll come out in the next 3 to 4 eppys! Wait patiently and it'll be that much better (100 times)!!! I wish I would've waited to just see what happens, that would've blown me away...not knowing it was coming and then to have it happen. I hope it does...it will be spectacular! I have been very proud of myself, actually, because I didn't read anything about the last two eppys and don't plan on reading anymore...and it's nice...they are more fun to watch because you don't know what's going to happen already.

I Just Knew It
Well, well, well, Tess is a hero and the Dreamgirls dismiss it any way they can. DENIAL. Get over it ladies.
MM - Let me start with YOU! Maria did a heroic act to destroy that rod thingee, but here's the scoop. Let's say Maria disappears before she can get it done. Then Tess takes out The Skins. Then The Pod Squad goes and destroys the rod. SAME result. OK, now let's say Maria gets it done but Tess doesn't. Then mankind is back in Roswell but The Skins go on to kill The Royal Four. If it wasn't for Tess then Max, Michael, Izzy, and herself are gone. Dead. Dust. That would kind of change the show a bit, DON'T YOU THINK?!? Would you tune in each week to watch Liz cry over Max being dead, Kyle spout Buddhist scripture, Maria serve food at The Crashdown, Valenti pull over speeders, and Alex try to get a record contract for his band?!? I didn't think so. The show would be done. Tess saved them. Get over your denial and accept it. Tess SAVED them. The only reason cute, little, washboard-abs boy is still walking around Roswell is because of TESS!!!!!! TESS!!!! ARRRGGHHH!!
Now on to you, Tina. I really don't think that supernova thing was just one of Tess's illusions. If The Skins had just been frightened into commiting suicide they would've dropped into a pile of dust like Courtney and the one Tess kicked at the UFO Center did. Instead we see flakes of skin floating everywhere just like when Is zapped Whitaker. I think the fire was quite real. Just look at the conversation she had with Max at the end when she said, in effect, that she had tapped into something much bigger and more powerful then she had ever felt when she shot the flames, and she didn't want to do it ever again. Also, I know what you mean about some of Emilie's scenes being "poorly done." I think she's an OK actress but she really pales when put in a scene with other females like Majandra (ABSOLUTELY the best actress on the planet, if you ask me) and Shiri. But, luckily, acting talent is not the reason I became an Emilie fan.
And IMM, I knew you couldn't leave well enough alone, but you only made a comment on Tess's wardrobe. No short tops?!? I think she looks just fine in them, thank you very much, and didn't really know why you said that stuff about working out. Does she have a gut or something that I'm not seeing? And I noticed you and a couple others mention that Max discovered this week that Michael is willing to betray him. Huh? I must have missed something (I've only watched it once, so far) because I didn't take that away from the eppy at all. And good observation on the skin turning to dust in Liz's hand but not Maria's. I know what everyone is thinking about this (it one thing I remember from back in my spoiler days) and I think you're most likely right.
Darn right, Tina, kudos to Sara Downing!! Gonna miss her especially now that we know her character was solid gold.

I thought that was weird that she started getting nervous about it right before she disappeared. Why only Valenti and Liz? Hmm, I'll have to watch it again. As for Brody's alien device, I don't remember seeing it anywhere. Maybe I missed it. But assuming it wasn't there the question is why. Brody was not at the Center at the time of the pulse, he left they device at home, he had it in his pocket at the time he disappeared, it was 'turned off.' Take your pick. If it was there and was 'on' then I don't know, maybe the batteries were low.
I've noticed that since the site switched to its new image that it does take longer to load but I have a cable modem so its not that big of a deal to me. I like the new 'black' look but since the switch all of the messages are too wide for the screen. Is there a way for me to change my display to eliminate this problem?
I loved Izzy last night using her powers to force the guys out of the room and shut the door as they were checking out Courtney getting undressed. Just about fell over!

First off.. Yes Tess does has a bit of a gut.. in some shots you can even see it petruding over her waist band..
I have noticed this on her for the past few shows. They could still give her the tight tops just make them to the top of her waist band.. (I really noticed it when she started to run out of the funeral home in Harvest) You just don't see that kind of stuff.. As for the most beautiful body on a man I have seen in a long time.. He is JUST perfect.. (maybe getting too skinny.. but still perfect)
What do you mean you didn't notice that Michael betrayed Max.. Brian.. get your eyes off of Tess.. and listen.. When Nick said.. that Max was still putting his faith into the wrong people? Iz and the whole Valondra thing.. then he went to Michael and said about telling Courtney about the Big Rock.. He told a skin where the big Rock was.. He is lucky that she was as committed to him.. and killed herself before Nick could take it from her mind..
I think that by Maria blowing up that rod thing, allowed Tess to do what she did.. because she was trying to do something but then that thing blew up she just went all out (probably by trying so hard before it blew up that she had all that energy built up and let it go).
Brian your just overly happy that it was a good eppy for Tess.. and she did have far more in the one then most..
I just have to say that Miko (is that his name?) the guy who plays Nick,,, GOD IS HE GOOD.. he is only 14 and he is blowing me away.. talk about the evil with in.. WOW..

I was on another board.. I think it was Crashdown and boy do they have some really good ideas about who Liz is and all that stuff.. Her IMPORTANCE to Max and the pod squad But what someone pointed out was.. When Liz was in the car freaking out about Max etc... (notice how Maria was all worried about her mother and Grandmother and all Liz could think about was Max) Then Max's visions were the highway, Liz, Michael standing with the symbols and the highway again, but the highway looks like the one that Liz was looking at out of the window. I was a bit thrown by this.. Also how his vision is mainly about Liz.(the first one) Ok so we see Michael.. but look at the symbol he is standing by.. (I won't say much about it just in case some don't know.. but those of you who do know.. just look...)STRANGE.. of course some of this I picked up on during that show. So is this far fetched.. or could it be what they are saying??? (they being the Crashdown gang)
