Funny Stories From On Location!
Now that you have all seen the pictures! Let's us tell you some of the funny stories from on location.
I'll start. Mine isn't as funny as some but it's worth telling.
We drove late at night to watch them film in the middle of the desert. It was the "Summer of 49" episode. First we see what we thought was an extra heading for the phone, turns out as he got closer we could see it was Brendan in his uniform. Normally I don't think Brendan is much to look at, but he look great in his uniform. We dicovered it was definately Brendan when we heard him talk on the phone, he was very loud. Sorry don't ask what he was talking about or to whom, we couldn't make out his conversation. Next we decided to track down one of the security guards to see where we should stand. As we began to approach the set, we saw a blonde girl, who we thought was Katherine. Turns out PamJ2 looks like Katherine from the back. We sat and chatted with her, some of the crew and security, while the rest of the crew got the next scene set up.
Not so funny yet huh? Here comes the funny part. The scene that has Jason and Brendan driving the big truck, they had to keep backing up the truck and redoing it for different camera angles. At one point when they where backing up the truck it was headed straight for us. All I could see was Jason's EARS! I had to laugh because that was the first time we had seen him in his uniform that night. They really stuck out. Another thing was Brendan's ability to drive a stick. He kept stalling and causing it to jerk. He and Jason just kept laughing.

Okay I have a funny story to tell. The last time I was able to watch them film in Covina was Sept. 8th of last year. We were able to watch them for about 10 hours! They were filming "The End Of The World." Anyway, we were at the Crashdown Cafe location, it's just the exterior that they film in Covina and we watched them right across the street. It was about 4am and it was cold! That was around the time Jason and Emilie finished filming their scenes. Emilie was already signing autographs, Jason joined the crowd a few minutes later. Both were extremely nice, they signed autographs and posed for pictures and chatted casually with the fans (there were about 15 of us left). Finally their white van was already there waiting for them, it had pulled up as soon as they were finished with filming. Jason got into the passenger side, the window was rolled down, and he stretched his leg out and propped his foot on the dashboard. He and the driver waited for Emilie, she was still signing autographs. The van started to slowly move away, the fans noticed immediately and we all laughed, Emilie stood there with her hands outstretched, she laughed too. Then a few minutes later she got into the van and they drove away. It was a funny moment. We're pretty sure it was Jason's idea to leave. We didn't see Jason say anything to the driver, but we're pretty sure it was his idea!
There were some other funny happenings that night, but I think Edgar should tell his story about his encounter with Colin. If I had to rank all of the funny things about that night, that would be no. 1!

Those were really funny moments, Vicki and Marice!
Speaking of So47, I'll never forget letting out a burst of laughter, while they were shooting , when Brendan only managed to hit one of the 2 alien dolls and dragged it under the military truck.
Sorry gang that FE hasn't shared his Colin story with us. I'll get him to do it sooner or later!
I don't know if I've shared this story on here before, but I thought it was pretty funny. It was the time when they were shooting Wipe Out in Oct. The Vegas Crew don't really like to bother Jason with autographs b/c we're pretty sure he's signed his name to last him a lifetime! Anyway, Jule and her sister noticed that also and asked why. After telling them why, I did say that I did bring my journal just in case. With enough persuasion, I decided it would be cool to have Jason sign it so I handed Jason my journal which was turned to the back of the front cover. I guess it caught him off guard b/c he had no clue why I handed it to him! I guess he's also noticed that we don't ask for his autograph, I dont know. Next thing you know, he was flipping through the book figuring out what it was! LOL! I was there about to freak out laughing and saying b/c, of course, you don't want anyone reading your journal, let alone Jason Behr! I probably had to keep switching the page to the back of the front cover about twice, saying, "No, right here!", before he figured out what it was and what I wanted him to do! He then told me to hang on to it and he'll be right back. I guess I just really caught him off guard and he had to figure out what to write on it. He came back 20 minutes later and then he finally signed my journal. He wrote, "May all your thoughts come true. - Jason"
Geez, this was probably funnier when it actually happened!
Re: Funny Stories From On Location!
Myah.. your much much braver then me! To get his autograph is one thing, (something I would have to get up the nerve to do after having just a few krispy kremes, for the sugar high, of course...) but on your journal.. WOW.. brave women!!!

You left out the part where he was flipping through your journal and you said really loud - 'THAT'S PRIVATE!' and everyone including Jason totally cracked up!!
The funniest had to have been the Colin incident with Edgar back in September. COME ON EDDIE
The one other funny episode I can remember was on that same night when most of the Vegas crew was huddled on a street in Covina at about 4:30 a.m in the morning. They were filming the fortune teller scene with Colin, Majandra and Shiri. It was the part when they were all in the car and Majandra was suppose to pull the jetta up in front of the fortune tellers. It was really early in the morning and they had to keep refilming Majandra driving up because she kept running into the fence. It was hilarious
I'm so sorry for not being on the boards lately. I'm currently pursuing a Nevada securities liscense and have been hitting the library for hours on end after class.
Okay here it is...The Colin Story...
Hmm... Let's see long long time ago in a far off place called Covinaland there was a ... LOL
..
..
Okay, hmm where to being... As I recall it was September 8th when Myah, Maurice, Melissa, SisofNight, and I took the 4 hr drive down to Covina. After hanging out a few hours and socializing with other Roswellians I decided to catch some nap time before making the drive back to Vegas.
So, around 4 am I headed back to the truck and settled in and fell asleep quickly. About 20 min later I heared a knock on the driver side door which startled me. I thought It was a security guard who was going to tell me no sleeping on the lot.
I sat up and opened the door and a voice said,"Hi Edgar how are you doing?" and this stranger stuck his hand out for a handshake. I looked up and It was Colin! Man oh man!! It took me a second or two to actually remember his name! LOL
He asked me if I was taking a cat nap or was in a deep slumber. I replied, "A cat nap"
I looked around and noticed the truck was surrounded by fans! LOL
Colin said, "I understand you drove from Vegas?"
I replied, "Yeah."
Colin, "Well, Thank You!"
Me, "Well, Oh sheesh"
Colin,"Well, I'll let you get some more sleep"
I was attempting to get out of the truck to talk to him.
Colin,"No that's okay Edgar."
Colin,"Just get back to sleep and rest so you can get
everyone back to Vegas safely."
Me," Oh, okay thanks"
And after a quick handshake he headed off with all his fans behind him.
I will never forget this day Colin gave me a wake up call.... :P what an outstanding and awsome guy!

Here's another story: Man's best friend.
During a break from filming ARCC, we noticed Jason petting a dog. I mean, not just petting, but giving the dog a full body massage. Jason is a BIG dog lover and this puppy was benifiting from his love. He gave Opa(yes, Opa, Brendan's dog) a 10 minute body massage! Talk about doggy heaven.

Just have to say wish I was that dog!
I have another cute little story that I heard from a Covina resident. This was at the End of the World filming, we were in the park watching them set up that scene by Courtney's house.
Anyway all the fans were gathered around chatting. I think it was Julie's mom who related this story. She was talking about how she sometimes walks by the house that they used in Blind Date, the Evans house. They used the exterior for the scene. Remember the scene in Blind Date, when Kyle shows up at Max's house, and you hear him saying "Evans, Evans!" Well, every time she goes by that house she says, "Evans, Evans!" And it embarrasses Julie every time!
Re: Funny Stories From On Location!
This just happened last night in Covina. We were watching them film "Cry My Name," and there's a scene when Max goes up to this van. He went up to the van, put his hand out and pauses a moment, he was unlocking the doors with his powers, then he opens the doors. Well Jason starts to open the doors, first one then the other, the director had yelled cut, and Jason either slammed the door on his finger or something I couldn't see exactly from where I was standing. Suddenly Jason yells "OUCH!" And some of the fans laughed. Poor Jason, that must have hurt.
The other thing that had Joe and I laughing was, the crew members were trying to put the gurney into the same van from the above story. The gurney is supposed to collapse or fold up as you put the gurney into the van. The only thing was that the gurney were NOT collapsing! The crew members tried everything from kicking the gurney, to kneeling down and wrestling with the gurney, anyway it was a funny sight!LOL! They finally got the gurney to collapse and wheeled it into the van! After that there weren't anymore mishaps with the gurney.
Re: Funny Stories From On Location!
Thanks for sharing that story, Marice! Bummer I missed such a funny scene with "the body bag & gurney"! Sounds like it got a little more interesting/entertaining after I left. Oh well, there's always next time.

Re: Funny Stories From On Location!
Oh, almost forgot to share another funny story from the Feb. 16 shooting. Well anyway, I have that starburst poster everyone's been talking about and I'm trying to get it signed by everyone. Not just the cast but the crew, too. And that night, Nick and Bill signed it, and which BTW Bill was so tired he almost mispelled VEGAS, LOL! Anyway, when I gave the poster to Jason to sign, he had to see the whole thing, so we rolled it out. He was like insisting I tell him where I got it from . Brendan did the same thing on a previous night, LOL. So when I finally told him Walmart, he was like, "Shut Uuupp!" Well needless to say, everyone was cracking up by his remark. Like he turned into some valley boy all of a sudden, LOL! He said it the way someone would normally say "No way!" or "Get out of here!" . And with so much conviction, too! That's what made it all too funny! No one heard me from all the laughing but as I laughed I said, "You just told me to shut up." Yeah yeah, for a split second there I almost forgot that it was Jason Behr who told me to shut up. What the heck was I thinking?! Jason Behr can tell us anything he wants to, huh ladies?!

Re: Funny Stories From On Location!
Maria - Good story...too funny! Wish I would've still been there to hear/see that one, too! Man I missed out by not sticking around...but I don't think I would've stayed until 2am anyway--I would've been way too tired to drive myself home! How funny, though...I can just hear it!
Thanks for sharing!
And, oh yeah, Jason Behr can tell us anything he wants, Maria! Just as long as it's not a bad thing....
