Been going through some old files from Myah. She had this cute story from Bill saved and wants me to share it with everyone.

Then his eyes glazed over and fluttered shut. His head bounced. His eyes opened and he said, "I'm sorry. Did you say something?" He had dozed off while I was talking. I don't think it was my acting. I think he was just tired. So before the next take I grabbed a handful of grapes from craft service and each time the camera was on him, I'd throw a grape at him before each of his lines. I always use very ripe white grapes because they're soft and they don't stain the actor's face or clothes. This is another of those "Secrets of the Stars". Not only did he not fall asleep again, but he gave a very lively and interesting performance! He didn't say a word to me afterwards but I'm pretty sure he was grateful for my help. I think it's important to be generous with your fellow actors.
Well, I'm going to celebrate Sleep Awareness Week for a couple hours now before I'm needed back on the set, grapes in hand, ready to help other actors be the best they can be.
