Omg! I live right by the Maltby Park, and me living in Maltby for 5 years...it's just amazing to know that something like that exists to some place where I can walk if I wanted to! It's so eerie...
Can someone tell me WHERE on Paradise Lk. Rd it is? HRMS is there too !
My friends and I are planning to visit the cemetary, not only b/c of the stories but out of respect for the dead. I do pity them b/c of those drunken fools lol.

2feathers & maltby cemetery
this is to set some errors straight concerning the Maltby Cemetery, 2 feathers (who is a friend), the wolves etc.
Two Feathers has no connection with the cemetery - he lives 1.5 miles from there. He does have wolf hybrids who began bringing home bones identified as belonging to a man missing in Feb 2002. On many occasions, Search and Rescue teams scoured an area approx. 2 miles south/east of the Cemetery. In an unofficial capacity, I frequently hiked with two feathers, his wife and his dogs, hoping they would lead us to the place where they were finding bones.
In March 2003 the subject's remains were found about 1.5 miles south/east of the Cemetery - in other words, no where near it. The subject's death has been declared accidental and the Snohomish Sheriff's Dept. has commended Two Feather's family (human & wolf/hybrid) for their efforts to help close this case.
Regarding the Cemetery, I too heard rumors about the Cemetery, so, while actively searching, I visited the Cemetery and met the caretaker. He's related by marriage to some of the decendants of those buried in the graveyard.
My recollection is of three rows of graves, nothing mysterious, no steps no suspicious crypts or voids and no spookiness. At night, with the trees and shaddows, the human mind can make your own home seem spooky and menacing...that's the most likely explanation for the creative fantasies attached to the Maltby Cemetery.
The Maltby Cemetery is actually a pretty mundane spot, and the perpetuation of stories keeps bringing groups of uninvited visitors out to sneak into the local family's private yard. Please let these poor pioneers rest in peace...their caretaker would certainly appreciate it!

.....
I personally spoke with one of the Doolittles a couple years ago regarding investigating this cemetery. She was quite adamant about no one would be allowed to do so. There is so much urban legend behind this cemetery, and much of it is just that, urban legend. Responsible people seeking proof of life after death, should be aware that by going onto these grounds without permission, is ruining the reputation of paranormal investigators around the world. This threads merit has exploited this cemetery long enough.

Thank you Barbara and I Agree. I wish more people would understand that the cemetery is private property and to please just leave the people who own it alone. I will talk to someone in our group soon and ask that this thread be deleted and hopefully we can let the dead of Maltby finally rest in peace.

Unfortunate
I find this subject to be both fascinating and apocryphal.
If there were any consistency to events and timeframes within the legends of this place, perhaps it would be worth paying the exorbitant amount of attention that, sadly, this location gets. Growing up locally, I heard of this 'deathtrap' of a cemetary when only a young boy. Yes, I have many friends who have had unpleasant experiences there. Bully for them. I'm sure they're proud of themselves when they quake in their beds at night.
Of these stories of general nastiness that I have heard (from sources that I consider RELIABLE, not just some schmuck at Beth's Cafe), most actual bad occurences have involved OTHER THRILL SEEKING IDIOTS!! Go fig.
All of this attention unfortunately draws a foolhardy and uncaring, if not malicious, crowd. Headstones broken, people hurt, and such. It also tends to gather the attention of people who believe in 'darker powers', who will often seek places with bad reputations, looking for good spots to end some poor cat's life. Having run across small, defenseless, furry corpses in my life, I can say with authority that if I were the caretaker of a property like this, after a few of these incidents I WOULD bring out the shotgun whenever some punks broke in. Or maybe just a stout stick. It'd feel better to just beat the daylights out of the little jerks.
So, in closing...
1) Don't go there. Neither you nor I are wanted there.
2) Have some respect for the dead and their families.
3) Don't believe everything you hear.
4) Quit talking to people about it. It only attracts bloodsucking pests, such as Satanists and mosquitoes.
5) Urban Legend Rule #1: If you weren't there, *IT DIDN'T HAPPEN*!!!
-or-
A) Disregard all that I have said, and make a total jackass out of yourself.
B) A very frightened jackass.
C) Tell all of your friends what a scared jackass you were.
D) Attempt to recruit your friends to be jackass sidekicks.
E) Get the snot beat out of you by Satanists.

very well said
you'd think that the moderators would have enough respect to delete this whole thread out of courtesy to those trying retain the dignity of the cemetery in question.
It shows little credibility when you allow these types of threads to continue. It gives real ghost hunters a bad name when theres no disclosure statement regarding the public seeking these cemeteries out by way of their web site.
Shame on you.
