Re: 048
I ordered 205X60x15 at $275 each through Gordan Leven.....

$1100 a set isn't that bad... Try racing a Late Model Over 2 litre like Buco's VX Commodore or Dick Prince's Volvo...

Re: 048
205/50 15 is $313, so $40 for 10% lower profile. 16" are about $80 more... god forbid the guys with 17" (or now 18") up around $600 I guess

As mentioned in the technical pages, Peter Lawrence confirmed they are a goer lastnight, with a bulletin to follow shortly.

Re: 048R's are a goer
Dont be too hasty there Nathan, due to the sizing issue (48's not available in all sizes for 60 Series) there is the possability of a change for 07 or beyond.

Are the Alfas planning on being on the NSW Championship grid again? I wouldnt have thought there would be enough room, unless they were with the Sport Sedans.

Re: 048R's are a goer
We had hoped to run my dad's car in IPRA again in 2006 (we haven't gone down the modify-til-not-eligible-for-anything route :D )

2007 is a bit far away to be thinking about, I think the car will be retiring in the next couple of years. So hopefully the tyre thing gets sorted by then, dad used to love racing in IPRA (although a lot of the old sparring partners are gone or traded up to faster cars :rollin )

Italian Challenge is being resurrected for a 4-round series, there's a couple of dates with ARDC and EC being run under a "multi-club" event......couple more to be negotiated.

Re: Great

Hey guys,

I'm running a bigger car and will be stuck on the 032's, does anyone have any idea if Yokohama are still making these tyres in 225/60/15 or are they just using their old stock up?

cheers,

Sam

Re: Great
I checked with the supplier on prices for 195 x 50 x 15 and they were $294 a tyre. That's the A048Rs in that size.

Re: Great
I went out to Gordon Leven's last Saturday and picked up my new tyres - four shiny black A048Rs in 195 x 50 x 15 - $296.00 each fitted up. I was taken by the low profile, very nice indeed.:D

Looking forward to using them in anger in a couple of weeks and comparing times from my last competitive outing there in a Sports Sedan. :p
