Re: New Cars & Drivers for 2006
After reading about all the NSW boys back in the game, I'll have to try and free up my weekend and come down to shoot some photos.
Come on Paul, haul the '7 out for a run.....
PeterL - I knew you wouldn't stay away from racing for much longer

Paul! Yep, still got the Alfa......once the 55-series tyes are approved for early model cars, I may just take up some proper circuit racing (or go Hysterics with the old folk )
I should be at Winton for the CAMS series if you wanna catch up then (are you still flagging at all?)

I think he wants to but there is too much to change. from memory he has to replace the windows, replace the petrol tank, put the window winders back in, replace the radiator support pannel, buy new tyres and a few other things

New Cars/drivers
I am hoping to make it to a NSW Round this year. I actually entered for Wakefield last year but the car (and driver ) weren't ready in time.
Can't make Round 1 but am trying for EC (if I get a few test days in first and the car holds together). Not sure EC is the best place for a first race though (particularly in a Mazda 1300 )

Welcome Kevin,
I made my race debut at Eastern Creek, i figured if i was going to scare the crap out of myself it might as well be at eastern creek. If your car is a little slow at the creek, you have time to read the paper and wave to your friends as you come down the main straight

Yeah, the straights should be OK. It's the corners where the fun starts
The car is legal AFAIK. I will be so far up the back that I could run unrestricted and nobody would notice
Hope to see you guys there anyway. Better organise that OLT too

Can't see why not. So long as both engine and car are eligble (I think the 1300 was raced as a GrpA or C car) and it has a restrictor then it shouldn't be a problem.
But, as Kevin already said, I think the real fun will start when the corners arrive.
