Re: Log Book Inspection
I dont think it has significantly down here. Then again, at Mallala we have a brilliant group of officials and a lot of the younger "drift me silly" guys are actually getting out there to official for us in return for some of the others officialling for them.
That said, as a flaggie, and usually the only flaggie on a corner, or possibly with a gumby to teach it does get a bit difficult. But Mallala is a relatively flat circuit, and so is visible from the tower, and more importantly in radio range.
Re: Log Book Inspection
That's the trouble with PI. There's dead spots. The tower cant see around Southern Loop, and cant see out the back around between Siberia and the Hayshed. So when it does turn to sh*t out there, you cant be sure what's going on. So you get issues like what happened at PI when a Superkart ended in the Spectator Area, but the driver didn't, and the tower didn't get the message...
David, No I dont think so. It's more that people dont want to pay >$100 just to go to see a state meeting. Unfortunate, but true.

Yeah, it is a sad fact.
Thankfully Mallala is a bit closer to Adelaide, and accomodation is a bit cheaper for a whole weekend round.
