Re: got them
Good luck to all you NSW blokes. May every gear change be perfect, may every passing move be clean, and may you never miss an apex.

Looks like nobody has any comments about the weekends racing so I thought I would put in a few words
For me I must admit I felt like I was struggling a bit this weekend and just couldnt seem to get the grip that I needed, obviously the track wasnt at its best as the lap times showed but those front wheel drives really started to shine in those conditions.
All in all I had a great weekend and even though I wished I had some time to test the car before the meeting because we had just completed a major rebuild I had experienced only minor problems.
Just like to say thanks to Dave Loftus, Scotty Hunter and Dave Nolan, we had some really good close racing and all with no accidents - must admit I had thoughts of disaster striking when Dave Loftus and I were dragging it out down the straight and through turn 1 but it all turned out fine with both of us having a ball
Cant wait till the next meeting at the creek - maybe I'll invest in the new tyres for this round - should be fun!
PS - didnt get chance to talk to all the new guys but its really great to see some new faces and new cars, trouble is they seem to be mostly front wheelers!
This was my first run in the car (literally, still working on it Friday morning) and, yes, its a front wheeler.
So I had to come to grips with a car I'd never driven, still basically stock, on tyres that weren't slicks, and with guys I'd never competed with before. And three years out of the saddle
But it was fantastic racing even at the back.
My in-car shows you going past in the 12-lapper and I thought I was parked
Also caught a glimpse of the Hunter/Loftus scrap on the last lap. Those two were really going at it
I was running the 48s and I thought they went well with plenty of grip for my Honda (once the SSS Automotive guys sorted the tyre pressures out and realigned the front end).
Looking forward to another scrap with the backmarkers at Eastern Creek as I hadn't enjoyed myself so much in a long time racing.
And the weather was great.

Re: Wakefield Park
Your car looked great and I am pleased you had a great weekend, sorry didnt get chance to catch up with you but I will make a point of it when we go to eastern creek.
I would like to congratulate everyone on an awesome weekend of racing.
In watching the Unders, there was some fantastic racing happening and it was close and clean. Turn one side by side with Bobby Jowett and Dave Loftus is evident of this, now that's motor racing.
The Rev Doctor team had a great weekend and wish everyone luck in the coming season.

Awesome effort by the Rev Doctor team once again. Flem, you had a "Back to business" weekend with an absolutely awesome drive in race 2 to manage a 3rd after completing a drive through...
Look out for the rest of the year I say...
Also, awesome effort by Ryan Brown Race Car Driver.... Was on the pace (not quite Flem's pace) but stuck with Rushy in race 2 up until the end... I know Rushy was battling with a sick car and one can only hope that he get's it sorted before round 2...
Also a special mention to Geoff Fear in the GTR and Col Guthrie in the RX3 experiencing their first face meeting... Well Done guys... Welcome aboard...

Re: Round 1
Well done to all the place getters for the weekend.
I myself had an interesting weekend. I think if I could have kept the bloody thing on the track I might have gotten somewhere. I went off twice in Qual and once in each race which didnt help ... One thing I have gotten down pat is my race starts...just ask Geoff in his (2wd) GTR I blasted past him 2 times off the line. I bet I wont be able to do that when he fixes the driveline back to 4wd.
Actually Geoff and I had a good duals all weekend and I managed to walk away from the weekend with no scratches.
All I was after was a finish in all 3 races which I did, but I could have done better...The car is fast enough...I Just have to get up to speed with it. Roll on EC

And how good was dinner on Saturday night Pete ??
My apologies for the rotary boys (Flemo, Harmo etc) giving you a hard time, but you kind of get used to it after a while...
Congrats to Flemo on a great weekend, the only blemish being a drive through penalty in Race 2 for an alleged jump start, but don't sweat it Scott, we've organised an appointment with OPSM for the bloke responsible before the next WP round...
Special mention to Ryan Brown, it's good see a young bloke coming through with plenty of speed, and i bet Rushy got a shock seeing Ryan all over him like a fat kid on a smartie !!
The Unders were great to watch as well, how quick was the little Starlet ??
Congrats to Bob on his trophy race win, unfortunately i had to head home to attend a wedding so i missed the Trophy race...
Top weekend in all, thanks also the locals who provided the entertainment on Friday night whilst getting beaten up by the cops across the road from our motel, never a dull moment !!
