Vampiric Intentions
The Vampire Covens has become restless and worried. One among their numbers is killing their glorious race. On top of that a force of mortals, vampire hunters, have formed. Their only goal is to wipe all vampires and their culture from the planet. The Covens must band together, old family rivalries must be put aside, they must fight together to extinguish both threats.
Time--Modern day
Place--New York City
Objective-- For Vampires: Kill the betrayer and eliminate the mortal hunters
For Humans: Kill the vampires and not get killed themselves
Teams-- Rancour Coven--Led by Elizabeth Rancour, this coven is the oldest, wealthiest and most powerful coven. Most of the vampires care little for mortals, very into power and control Langdon Coven--Rancour's henchman clan. Respected in vampire community, but poorer than the Rancours. Greyburn Coven--Trouble makers. The newest coven and therefore the poorest. The Greyburns lust for power and notoriety as well, even if it means using unorthodox methods
The Hunters--Humans banded together to wipe out vampires

The only thing that matters is the ending. It's the most important part of the story...and this one is very good. This one is perfect.
But how about altering it to the theme of that awesome movie starring Kate Beckinsale, the one about Vampires and Werewolves/Lycanthorpes.
I can't seem to recall the name of the movie, but I hear they're working on a sequel or two.
I'd love to gun as a sabretoothed wild-maned lobo, yow!
Yeah, wicked movie... tho I've forgotten most of the plot, it was about a war between the two races(or species?) and then some kind of attraction between Kate B's char and the leading wolf-man.
If this RPG garners abouit six players, two per team/race, we can have it up and running.
Re: Vampiric Intentions
Alright, DV!
Here are two characters that I would be partaking in this game as. Let's get a few more gamers before we start the game and see how it goes. Good Luck!
Name:Adam Evin Age: 20[in human years, times 7 in canine] Race: Human/Lycanthorpe Gender: Male Team: Human hunters presently but may switch anytime Eyes: Black Hair: Steel -Grey[long, unkempt] Clothing: Black leather pants, black leather biker jacket, old vest with a picture of Judas-Priest in front, heavy black hiking boots.
Weapons:none History: Adam doesn't really remember much of his childhood, just that his father is responsible for his present condition. Because of his father's insane obsession with alchemy and an ancient book of darkness has he been born with the curse of the Lycanthorpe. It is a situation he is coping with rather well but sometimes the beast within completely takes over his mind and body. It is best to avoid him at these times, especially when the moon shows her full face to the children of the night below. Demeanor: All his life Adam has been fighting, demons within himself and also those in the living world. Humanity's fear and hatred of thing different has taught him many harsh lessons, most notable of all the art of deception to gain advantage. He is a foe worthy of extreme caution.
-------------------------------------
Name:Rhea Kane Age: 221[looks 19] Race: Vampire Gender: Female Team: Rancour Coven Eyes: Pale green Hair: Red, bright [long, large curls] Clothing: black bustier, black leather pants, dark red leather overcoat, wears gauntlets on either wrist embossed with the Rancour Family emblem(ok?)Weapons:none History: 202 years ago in England, Rhea was a healthy normal teenager, living on her parents estate, at the Kane manor. Her family was among the wealthiest in England. Her first meeting with Elizabeth was the most horrific experience of her life and her journey as one of the undead began soon thereafter. Rhea admires Elizabeth Rancour, but also envies and at time resents her and in time she intends to challenge her one-time mentor for control of the Coven. Demeanor: Rhea is different from most of her kind, yes, she is malicious and cruel but also happy go lucky and often irritating to her morbid kindred at times with her somewhat happier attitude. She has been known to having a weakness for human males.
Re: Vampiric Intentions
This sounds awesome! I want to join. I just have to think of a character.
A darkness lies behind us and we have turned our backs upon it, and we do not desire to return thither even in thought. Westwards our hearts have been turned, and we believe that there we shall find Light.
So it doesn't really matter how much knowledge you have about Vampire and Werewolf lore...cause this RPG is based on a mix of all the myths and stories and I suppose what you can call "rules" reguarding these Races.
Here is how the Vampire world works here... How one becomes a Vampire
A little different than just getting your blood drained out of you. A victim only becomes a vampire when a vampire puts some of its own blood back into the victim Killing Methods
An old fashioned piercing of the heart will work, doesn't need to be a wooden stake[unless you really want it to be]
Forget garlic, no dice there, kids
Same deal with crucifixes Powers
Heck yeah they got powers!
Anyway, increased strength, stamina, jumping ability, and fighting skills make any vampire a formidable foe, and some have been honing their skills so watch out! Sunlight
No daytime activity, sorry, I'm not buying this whole "Vampires can go out during the day, if they have sunglasses on." Get in your coffins and stay there!
Ok, let's talk about the Werewolves[I'll be calling them werewolves cause I can't spell the "L" word right, ever...] How one becomes a Werewolf
Gotta be bitten...there you go... Killing Methods
Silver bullets seem to be the only way to go with these guys, although I'm pretty sure that if you stabbed the beejesus out of 'em that would work too Powers
Increased strength, agility, senses at all times, heightened even more during full moon cycles, and changing into actual wolf, no duh.
So that's all I got for now...Cimm...is there a specific backstory you wanted for Elizabeth and Rhea? PM me

Name: Osira Dikaios
Age: 215
Race: Vampire[looks 22]
Team: Greyburn Coven
Eyes: Very, very dark brown, almost black
Hair: Black. Straight, down right below her shoulders.
Clothing: Black leather pants, Emerald Corset with gold ties on the front holding it closed. Gold bracelettes on both arms. Black combat boots. Also has a black leather trench coat. Wears an emerald encrusted medallion necklace of the Greyburn family crest
Weapons: twin egyptian style daggers, and herself.
History: Her parents were slaughtered during a revolution outside of Cairo when she 7. She was then raised outside of Giza, by a small family that bred Egyptian Arabians. She was always quiet, and willing to work. Never complained, and always did what she was told. The family was loving, and taught her to ride even though it was frowned upon to see a woman ride. She was bitten when she was 22, and ran off with the Vampire. She met with Westly when she came to New York, and has been at his side ever since.
Demeanor: Very quiet, and reserved. She never gives anything away, and is always watching. She has been taught to observe, remember, and analyze all that she sees. She may be silent, but she is deadly. She is quick in precise in all that she does, especially in her killing.

Those who yeild are not always weak.
Re: Vampiric Intentions
Whoa! Ripping character there, Sha!
Thanks for the info, DV. This game should rock if we can pull in a few more gamers. We need a strong human character to lead the human hunters. Thain, are you listening?
Elenna, you can take over Rhea Kane if you like. I was planning to have her interested in Adam, but it would be weird to have me playing both sides of a lovey dovey thing. Not that I am in love with myself or anything... heh heh!
DV, the 'Liz and Rhea' backstory could be something like that of Angel and Spike from 'Buh.. buh.. Buffy!' Urk! Anyway, if Elenna takes over Rhea, you two can work it out. Otherwise I'll pm you on it soon.
I'll fill in a bit more on Adam once I do some research, this weekend.
Re: Vampiric Intentions
I'd be fine with being Rhea, but I want to put up my own backstory. If that's OK with you, I'll put it up.
A darkness lies behind us and we have turned our backs upon it, and we do not desire to return thither even in thought. Westwards our hearts have been turned, and we believe that there we shall find Light.
Re: well....
Well, Angel was a vampire in Victorian England and he feasted on a punk kid, Spike, who became one of the undead. He revers as well as loathes his maker, Angel.
Angel is/was also Buffy's love or something. I just saw the first two seasons - 22 episodes.
Human Folk
The game still needs a few more Human/Werewolf characters...if not, is anyone not already playing 2 characters want to sign up for a second?

Re: Human Folk
Angel was an Irish punk, pretty much - bad boy, seriously in debt and dragging his family down. Got sired by Darla, then came to England and sired a nun: Drusila. She then went on to sire a young englishman, William, who became Spike because of his habit of impaling his victims on railroad spikes. Angel is therefore Spike's grandsire and so Spike owes him big time, as Angel made him a vamp and is much more powerful - for the same reasons, he detests him. Also, Angel became Buffy's lover and Spike loves Buffy - another source of jealousy.

Re: Vampiric Intentions
Whoa! Mymsy knows her vampire history! Cool!
Mym, we needs you in this game, we do, don'ts we, me preciouses.
And please DV, don't mention Lestat. And I agree with the vampires are only for night times, etc.
As for Lycanthorpes, well, Adam is a normal man by day, but the light of the moon, his mistress, brings out the beast in him and all his hairy brethren. If this game kicks off, it would rock. As long as we don't get gamers witn lame-o ideas.
Try to convince Gwil and Eruanne to join this.
I will play another character if Elenna takes over Rhea Kane for me.

Please believe me when I say I’m not just trying to be pedantic of anything, but a few more details:
How to become a werewolf – you can also be born a werewolf if both the sire and the dam are werewolves. In mythology there have been several cases where a litter of pups has been born and, for example, one will be unable to change from lupine form, another will be unable to change into a wolf. Think about it. There could be a twist…
Killing Methods – Silver works, mainly as bullets because there isnae a chance in heck that these guys will let you get close enough to do enough damage with anything else. Stabbing the beejesus out of them…much as love that phrase , technically this probably wouldn’t work. Because they can constantly change, trying to tear them apart will not work as they will simply be able to morph and thereby get rid of most of the injury by doing so…unless the time when you attack is the point in the moon’s cycle when they are confined to wolf shape. This happens for the night before to the night after the full moon, I think, meaning for three days each month the werewolf cannot change into human form and must remain as wolves. The other way to kill a werewolf is to use fire – fire and silver are the two weaknesses of werewolves.

What about holy water or a blessed sword? Burns, but doesn’t kill?
I most certainly do intend to join this game; I've never played in a modern day RPG (save parties) and this looks excellent... - but am going away on Saturday for ten days. If this is ok, by all means have a wee look at the following profile. Hey, have a look anyway, why not...
I’ll play a werewolf (despite the fact I really can’t type that word…) because they’re a wee bit thin on the ground, you say…
Name: Moll Damson
Age: 118
Race: Werewolf – born werewolf rather than sired. Is on the side of the humans, at the moment certainly, and for reasons of her own.
Appearance: Moll looks not a day over eighteen, and can be as sweet-faced and pure-looking as any Victorian gentle lady when she wants. But Damson has tried a variety of appearances so far in her immortal life, and sweetness and light does not tend to be one she goes for at the moment. She is usually clothed entirely in practical black, her hunting wear being a sleeveless lace-up black top with a low V-neck, and a pair of black trousers to match, usually streaked with slashes of white; they are usually cotton or some similar, this being best for her purpose – cord is too noisy when moving, anything more clingy is too hard to get out off when Turning. She has the colouring of an ‘English Rose’ i.e. pale skin and blue eyes, often outlined with heavy black to make them stand out less. Black hair is worn down to mid-back or tied up in a high pony-tail or a plait. She is slim and muscular, and doesn’t tend to wear a coat – she doesn’t feel the cold as humans do, and is instead rather immune to the elements as such. When she is in lupine form, she is, unsurprisingly, a black wolf, and not a very big one really, but tense and coiled as a well-oiled metal spring, and twice as powerful as any.
History: Moll was born in England to a family of werewolves, but being as she lived in the slums of London, this wasn’t really a major setback. Although when young she didn’t have any structured schooling, she picked up an excellent education as fitted that life; her father was a drunkard who seemed to live off whisky and stray cats, to Moll’s disgust, but he was vicious drunk or sober, and this brutal environment helped Moll grow in just the way that was needed: natural intelligence, hard-earned toughness and lupine ruthlessness allowed her to rise into society in the company of several different men, although any who found out her nature were soon conveniently dispatched off. She took advantage of the learning resources available to her, gaining knowledge in every area she could, and found that of vampires particularly interesting, but with reason: Moll had not been born an only child, but a twin. Her twin brother, Jacks, had been a Still – that is, he was unable to change from the form that he was born in, that of a boy. When they were nine or ten, he had been taunted and near drained by a gang of vamps, unable to fend for himself against the powerful immortals. Moll had fought them off and they had slunk away, not looking for a real fight, just for easy prey, but her brother was badly scarred by it physically and terrified mentally. He died prematurely from Tuberculosis when only forty, weakened by the attack and by their poor upbringing.
Jacks is the reason Moll feels a kind of tenderness towards humans, and the reason she fights for them and against the vamps she blames for her twin’s death. She moved around a lot in her life, so she wouldn’t be found out, moving to America after about sixty human years of life, but eventually revealed herself, tired of hiding the nature she loved. She has fought for the cause since the beginning.
Personality: A clear, perfectly English accent and sweet features cover a nature that is all too ruthless and harsh when needed, the result of her upbringing and hard early life. But Moll is not all bitterness against vamps and ruthlessness against all: as her affection for her brother showed, she can be truly kind and affectionate, and gets close to a very few, her sharp wit and loyalty keeping her fast. But beginning life as the daughter of a drunk in the slums of Blackheath and then living over one hundred years does certain things to a person…or immortal…
thats fine
My rules for the Vampires and Werewolves were really just general overviews, incorporating somethings, but omitting others. Those new additions are great though
Your bio is fine though you may want to entrust your character to someone while your away so that you don't get left behind
