Re: Clothing
I am not sure why people judge each other before ever talking to them. I will admit, I am guilty of this as well. Sometimes I'll see people and just think, "Oh my god, do they ever wash their clothes?" Not knowing if they even have a wash machine. Yes, that was a lame example but I think it gets the point across.

For some reason, people feel the need to make a decision on a person before ever meeting them. Don't we all look at people, and instead of talking with them, make a decision to talk to them or not based on what we see?

Come on... lets be real! Let's speak the truth...

People, as a whole, in general... hate the things that aren't like them. Thin people hate fat people, fat people hate thin people... blondes hate brunette's, brunette's hate blondes... cowboys hate goths, goths hate cowboys. Our whole society is built around judging others and make harsh judgements about them based on our first impressions... not matter how small and impression that might be, we judge them anyway.

This is just the tip of the iceberg... the dislike our society has for each runs deep... deep and cold.

Re: Clothing
I wear a combination of earthmother/gyspy meets old world stuff. I love circle skirts and lace and poet and victorian blouses. I have both black and jewel tones. I avoid yellow and orange and pastels like the plague because I have very fair skin and I don't want to look like i'm nauseated.

Re: Clothing
That's funny about the pastels. Yeah, don't often wear colors like that either. I like darker colors, but since meeting my hunny I've been lightening up. Like today I am in a rather bright blue shirt and some really faded blue jeans.

Women are meant to be admire? hehe That's funny.

Indeed.. I have a funny quote I saved from my high school days and some of the preps in there. I would sit front-row center in my government class and cross-stitch. I had a picture of a tiger peeking its head through some foliage. Back in those days I wore black constantly, my trench coat, sunglasses, and a worn black oakley's hat. The quote went something along the lines about how " would never kill anyone because I cross-stitch ...[blah blah some other complimenting things] ... He is a well-dressed goth."

I kept it because it amused me to think that someone wearing an oakley's hat and cross-stitching would surmise lack of being homocidal..

As a child you questioned with me.
As a youth you danced with me.
As an adult you questioned the world with me.
Now I only ask you to walk with me
and stay by my side forever.

Re:
Getsu Tora,

You use to cross-stitch?! Woh.
I have to say that there is nothing wrong with a man cross-stitching. I actually passed by a man who was doing that in the hallway (at College).
Those who I know who do so say that it is a way they relieve stress and boredom.

Anyway, as for the clothing. Now that I’ve been in college for two or so years and since I have little to no time for myself I usually end up throwing on whatever I can find that is suiting to my mood.

So in reality I can be found wearing a lot of long sleeved shirts and jeans. Except for those rare days that I can get a long black skirt with a few pieces of fabric tied around the waist, and some sort of top.
But as I said, those days are rare.

All in all the way I want to dress is usually what I don’t get. I really need to just go get some new clothing.
All of my old stuff is just too large for me now.

The newbie wants to chime in.

my clothing is always black and i usually always wear skirts and tights/high socks. on occasion i wear a pair of black pants, but I prefer skirts. i wear hoodies a lot too, but they're usually only black too.

tshirts/tops are usually plain black or band shirts (also black) I dont own much that isnt black.

everything is rounded off with my favoriteist pair of black stompy boots. yay.

i sometimes wear white or dark red though. sometimes. not often. rare thing.
