Chapter Eleven The car jerked as it hit another pothole and Sheridan immediately felt the unease start to rise within her once again. She had done some stupid things over the last few days, she thought, but this one... this one took the cake. Leaving with a man she barely knew, it was more than just stupid... it was borderline insane. Okay, it was more than just borderline insane, she thought rubbing her temples, it was totally psychotic. She had to think of a way to get herself out of this mess. Luis probably knew she had left with Josh by now, but there was no way he would know where to find them. Hell, she had no clue as to where they were herself. Panic lodged deep in her throat as Josh pulled the car to a stop and turned off the engine. She looked around and saw total darkness. The only thing even remotely visible was trees, trees, and more trees. Oh god, she thought closing her eyes and taking a deep breath, please just let this be a really bad dream. "Sher?" Josh said laying a hand on her thigh. "Are you okay? You're being awfully quiet." She quickly removed his hand then turned to look at him. She could barely make out his features in the moonlight. The only thing she could see clearly was that she had made a very big mistake. "I really think we should go back to the party, Josh. Ethan is probably wondering where I am." "I'm sure by now he knows you left with me. Luis too, for that matter. That was the whole point, wasn't it?" Josh asked giving her a crooked grin. "You wanted to make Luis jealous. Well, I can guaran-damn-tee he will be jealous now." Something told Sheridan that Luis would be too furious to be jealous. He had warned her to stay away from Josh, but she hadn't listened. When he found out that she had left with Josh... alone, she knew he would be positively livid. They may not know each other well, but she knew him well enough to know that. She had seen the animosity between Josh and him first hand. She had thought that by flirting with Josh, she would make Luis jealous and he would be more inclined to help her with her plan. But right now, more than anything, she wished she had been smart enough to listen to him when he said to stay away from Josh. Granted, Josh hadn't made a move to touch her other than the hand on her thigh a few minutes ago, but there was something in the way he looked at her that made her extremely uncomfortable. It was like being inside a glass house and having people stare at you from all sides. It was unnerving and.... frightening. That was the problem right there, she thought shaking her head, Josh hadn't tried anything, yet she was frightened. Why? Because you don't know him, a voice echoed inside her head, therefore you have no way of knowing what he is or isn't capable of. Oh god, she thought turning to look at Josh in the darkness, what if he tried to - "Sher." Josh said interrupting her thoughts. "You can relax. I only brought you here so we could talk and maybe get to know each other a little better." The 'get to know each other better' was the part that worried her, she thought shaking her head to clear the frightening images that had popped into her mind. "Josh, I really think -" "Shh." He said placing his fingers across her lips. "I think I hear something." Sher listened into the darkness, but heard nothing but crickets and the faint hoot of an owl. "Josh, I don't hear -" She broke off when she heard the faint sound of tires squealing. A second later, lights from a vehicle flashed in through the back windshield. She turned trying to see who was coming up the road, but it was still too far away to distinguish the make of the vehicle. The only thing she knew for sure was that whoever was driving seemed to be in an awfully big hurry. * * * * * Luis turned onto the gravel road that led to the old drive-in movie theater and prayed that Josh was there. If he wasn't then he had no idea where to look. No, he thought pressing down on the gas petal, they were here. He could feel it. He just prayed he wasn't too late. If he hurt Sher... "Dammit!" Luis yelled into the darkness as his truck hit another pothole. He had forgotten how bad this road was. He eased off the gas petal slightly, not wanting to take any chances of turning the truck over. He'd certainly be no good to Sher then. When he got his hands on Josh... Luis pounded his fist against the steering wheel as his temper began to build. He had warned Josh to stay away from her, but he hadn't listened. Sher hadn't listened either. She had no way of knowing what kind of guy Josh really was. Hell, Ethan didn't really know half the stuff Josh had done. If he had, he would have been alot more worried when they saw them talking earlier. Damn, he thought running a hand through his black hair, he should have gotten her away from him then. But Beth had gotten in his way. She probably did it on purpose. He wouldn't put anything past her anymore. His headlights reflected off something ahead of him and he recognized it to be the metal bumper of a car. He hadn't even taken her some place original, Luis thought his hand tightening on the steering wheel, he'd taken her to the damn woods! Luis pulled in behind the car and had barely managed to put his truck in gear, his temper was so strong. He threw open his truck door and headed toward the car. His fury growing with each step he took. He could see Sher in the passenger's side and he saw Josh leaning over her with his fingers on her lips. Luis saw red. He pulled Josh's car door open then grabbed him by the collar of his cheap shirt and pulled him out of the car. "You bastard! I warned you to stay away from her!" "Luis, get your damn hands off me!" Josh said his eyes blazing with fury. "We were just talking!" "Yeah, I know your kind of talking, remember?" Luis said his hands tightening on the collar of Josh's shirt. He was so angry he didn't hear Sheridan throw open the passenger side door and run toward them. "Luis! " Sher yelled from behind him. "Calm down! It isn't what you -" Luis turned and silenced her with a steady glare. He was in no mood to hear her defend Josh. "Stay out of it, Sher! This is between Josh and me!" "See Sher, I told ya the guy had a bad temper. Just ask Ethan. After all, he has the stitches to prove it." "Ethan?" Sher asked in confusion. "What do you... Oh god, you mean Ethan is the guy Luis sent to the hospital?" Luis saw Sher's eyes widen at the realization and then suddenly they narrowed... on him. "You put Ethan in the hospital?" "Sher." Luis said releasing Josh and turning toward her. "Let me -" That was as far as he got before Josh shoved him from behind. Luis turned and ducked just as Josh swung his fist. Luis swung a punch of his own and hit Josh in the solar plexus. Josh doubled over and Sher screamed. Luis caught off guard, turned to look at her, and Josh landed a punch to his jaw. He stumbled backwards a bit, but then pure fury took over and he tackled Josh to the ground. They continued to roll around on the ground, each of them landing punches to the other, but then Sher let out a bloodcurdling scream and both of them froze. * * * * * Sheridan watched as Luis tackled Josh to the ground. A second later, Josh landed another punch to Luis jaw while Luis returned the favor by punching Josh in the eye. Oh god, she thought, this was all her fault. She had to stop them before one of the got seriously hurt. "Stop it, both of you! Stop it right now!" Neither man seemed to hear her. Their anger wouldn't let them hear her. She took a deep breath and screamed at the top of her lungs. Both men froze then turned to her with wide eyes. "Well," she said placing her hands on her hips. "I'm glad I finally managed to get your attention." Without a word, Luis jumped up and headed toward her. His eyes were still blazing with fury and she backed up a step. She had to stop when she ran into the open door of his truck. "Luis," she said placing her hands on his chest. "I -" Luis narrowed his eyes toward her hands on his chest and she removed them instantly. When he looked back at her, his eyes were cold and unreadable and when he finally spoke, his voice was tight with barely held anger. "Get in the truck. I'll take you home." "Hey," Josh said getting to his feet. "I brought her here, I'll take her home." Luis turned and started to make his way back to Josh, but Sher placed her hand on his forearm to stop him. He turned to look at her, but she refused to look at him. She couldn't bare to see the anger in his eyes. She looked at Josh instead. "I think it's better if Luis takes me home." She turned without waiting for Josh's response and started to step up into the truck. She stopped when Luis placed his hands on her waist. She looked at him in surprise, but he merely shook his head and helped her up into the truck. She scooted to the passenger side, moving several cassette tapes out of her way in the process. Once she had settled in the seat, Luis got in and slammed the door so hard the whole truck shook. He was angrier than she could have imagined. She swallowed hard as Luis started the truck and backed out. She glanced out the window as Luis turned the truck around and saw Josh shaking his head and raising a hand to his now swollen eye. This was all her fault, she thought covering her face with her hands. If she had stopped to think first, she never would have gotten in the car with Josh. She could feel Luis' eyes on her, but she couldn't meet them. She was too ashamed to meet them. "He didn't... he didn't hurt you, did he?" Luis asked in a voice she didn't recognize. "No." She said raising her head to look at him. "No, he didn't hurt me." Luis searched her eyes for a moment then nodded and turned his attention back to the road. "He could have, Sher. Do you realize that? He could have really hurt you." Sheridan shivered at the truth in his words, but for some reason didn't want to let Luis know that she had really been worried about that very thing. "But he didn't. I'm fine." "Dammit, why the hell didn't you listen to me?" Luis asked tightening his hands on the steering wheel as they hit another pothole. "What the hell possessed you to leave with Josh anyway? You could have really been hurt!" "I'm surprised you even noticed I left!" Sheridan yelled her temper on the rise. "You seemed to have your hands full with that brunette!" Luis tightened his hands on the steering wheel then glanced at her with eyes as hard as steel. "Are you telling me that you put yourself in danger, because you were jealous!" "No!" Sheridan lied. "I asked Josh to leave so we could get to know each other better and we would have had you not interrupted! And I didn't place myself in danger!" Luis cursed. "The hell you didn't! You have no idea what Josh is capable of! None! What would you have done if he had tried to rape you?" Sheridan sucked in a deep breath because that same thought had crossed her mind. But then because she was angry at herself, she lashed out at Luis. "He wouldn't have had to rape me! I would have done what he wanted willingly!" In one fluid motion, Luis pulled off the side of the road and stomped on the brake. Then he turned to her with blazing eyes and clenched jaw. "What the hell do you mean you would have done what he wanted willingly!" Sheridan flinched at the anger in his voice. She knew she was on dangerous ground, but something was making her deliberately provoke him. "I mean just what I said. I came to Harmony to have a good time and since you seem so unwilling to help me with that, I found someone else who would. I'm sure Josh would be more than willing to show me a good time!" "Over my dead body." Luis said pulling her roughly into his arms, his eyes blazing, and his mouth just an inch away from hers. "I'll be damned if I allow Josh to have the fun, I should be having. If you want a good time, sweetheart, then allow me to show you one!" Sheridan didn't have time to reply, because his mouth suddenly came down on hers hard. She knew the kiss was mean to punish her, but instead it started a fire, one that quickly turned into a three-alarm blaze. Her hands wound themselves into his black hair as his roamed over her bare back. Then she groaned as he trailed them sensuously down her spine to cup her buttocks. A second later, he pulled away and started to kiss the hollow base of her neck. She angled her head back to give him a better access then groaned as one of his hands caressed its way to cover her breast. She arched her back and placed both hands at the back of his head then moaned as his hand started to gently caress her breast. His other hand reached up to loosen the thin strap at her neck then he ever so slowly eased her shirt down to pool at her waist. He slowly lifted his head and looked at her, his eyes blazing with passion then he gave her a seductive smile and lowered his gaze to her breasts. He gave a tiny groan of frustration then leaned down and took one nipple into his mouth. His tongue skimmed over her nipple and she tightened her grip in his hair as the fire started to build inside her. He teased her breasts with his lips as his hands continued to roam her body. A second later he tightened his arms around her and pulled her into his lap. She raised her knees onto the seat to straddle him as her back rested against the dashboard. Her hands left his hair to roam over his broad shoulders and she suddenly couldn't wait to feel his warm skin underneath her fingers. She lowered her hands to the bottom of his shirt then moved them underneath. At the first touch of her fingers against his bare skin, Luis groaned then released her so that she could pull his shirt over his head. Once that was done he crushed her to him and they both moaned as they met chest to chest, bare skin to bare skin. His mouth captured hers again as his hands sprayed across her back and pressed her closer to his chest. She had never felt anything so wonderful in her entire life and she wanted more. She placed her hands at the waistband of his jeans and had just released the button and pulled the zipper down when someone knocked on the driver's side window. She and Luis broke apart instantly and it was then that she noticed the flashlight shining in the window. Embarrassment flooded her face as she realized they had once again been caught in a compromising position. Only this time, it wasn't by Josh and Hank. No, this time, she thought glancing at the man standing at the window, they had been caught by a cop. Chapter Twelve Luis knew he was on the verge of seriously losing control and he also knew he didn't care. He wanted Sher more than he had ever wanted any woman in his entire life. That fact should have scared him, but it didn't. Somehow it felt... right. He groaned as Sheridan slid her hand underneath his shirt. Then he pulled back and allowed her to pull the shirt over his head. Once they were both naked from the waist up, he crushed her to him. He loved the feel of her soft breasts against his chest. He captured her mouth with his then pressed her closer to him. He could feel her hardened nipples rubbing against his chest and he wasn't sure how much longer he could last without needing more. Sher evidently had the same idea, because she suddenly reached her hands between them and released the button his jeans. As she lowered the zipper, he felt her fingers brush against his straining erection and he thought he would literally go insane. He had just deepened the kiss when a tap against the driver's side window of his truck broke through his passion filled thoughts. Oh god, he thought noticing the light that was suddenly shining inside of the truck, this was definitely not good. Luis turned around to block Sher from their visitors' view, then quickly refastened his jeans and pulled his shirt back on. One he was dressed and made sure Sher was dressed he turned around and rolled down the window. He recognized the voice that greeted them instantly. "I'm sorry for interrupting your, ah, fun Luis, but this is a public road and you are old enough to know better. I just hope your friend is." His brother, Antonio, said giving him disappointed frown. "She is old enough, right?" Luis grunted and leaned back against the seat. Antonio always seemed to think the worst of him. Did he really think he would stoop so low as to seduce a girl not even old enough to drink? It was insulting, but he refused to let Antonio know that. "Yeah, Tony she's old enough." Antonio narrowed his eyes at the use of the nickname. Luis just grinned. He knew his brother hated to be called Tony. That was precisely why he'd done it. "Luis, I'm going to let you both off with a warning, but I firmly suggest you take the lady home now." Luis raised a brow at the order, but didn't comment. He just nodded and started the truck. "Sure thing, Tony." His brother just shook his head. "Don't think I'm letting you off so easy, Luis. I fully expect to see you at the house tomorrow. We need to have a serious talk about this." Luis tightened his grip on the wheel then reached down and threw it in gear. "I'm not a little kid anymore, Antonio. I don't need a lecture from you." "You obviously need one from someone Luis!" Antonio said as he stepped back from the truck. "We'll talk about this tomorrow." Luis just gave him a go to hell look then turned his attention back to the road and pressed on the gas. He knew tomorrow his brother would give him one hell of a lecture and he was not looking forward to it. He wouldn't be at all surprised if Papa wasn't in on the lecture too. That always seemed to be the case. If Antonio thought he did wrong then Papa and Mama usually thought so too. It didn't even matter if they had no idea what he'd done, they just took Antonio's word. "Luis?" Sher said quietly beside him. "I'm sorry I caused you so much trouble tonight. What happened a few minutes ago was just as much my fault as it is yours and I really hope you tell your brother that tomorrow." Luis looked over at her and was disappointed to find that she wasn't even looking at him. "Sher, I'm the one that lost my head tonight. All you did was follow my lead." Sher turned toward him regret in her eyes. "Are you sure about that Luis? Because if you recall I'm the one that usually instigates these situations." That was true, but what happened between them tonight was his fault. He was the one that had kissed her. He knew what that kiss would lead to, what it always led to with Sher. Damn, he thought running a hand through his hair, tonight was definitely a first for him. He'd never been so carried away that he forgot where he was. Making out on the side of the road like a damn horny teenager was not the way he usually did things. Hell, he hadn't even done this when he was a teenager. He'd always been more responsible when he had sex. No one would believe him of course. His reputation had seen to that. Hell, he'd probably only been with half the girls everyone thought he had. Yeah, he dated a lot of women, but he didn't sleep with them all. And none of them had ever made him loose control the way Sher always seemed to do. Not even Beth and at one time, he had thought he was in love with her. Hell, he had even gone so far as to buy her a damn engagement ring. But that was before he found out that she had cheated on him... with Josh, a guy that was supposed to be one of his best friends. Thank god he'd never actually given her the ring. No one, but Theresa even knew he had bought it and the only way Theresa knew is because she had helped him to pick it out. Luis shook his head. Now was not the time to be reliving the past. "Sher, you may have instigated what happened in that pool this afternoon and in your bedroom yesterday, but tonight in this truck? That was my fault. I'm the one started it with that kiss. I swear I just meant to kiss you, but well every time we kiss things seem to get out of control." Sher gave a small smile. "I know. I'm not sorry it happened, Luis. I'm just sorry it didn't happen someplace else. Someplace that we would not have been interrupted." He groaned inwardly. "Sher doesn't it bother you that we don't even know each other? I mean you really don't know anything about me and I know I don't know much about you. Don't you think you should take the time to get to know each other before you hop into bed with someone?" "Do you take the time to get to know every woman you sleep with?" She asked. He shifted in his seat and ran a hand over his sore jaw. There was no way he was going to answer that question. No way in hell. Sher was different from the women he had been with before. She made him feel different. He genuinely liked her. Not because she was so bold in her pursuit, but because she was a refreshing change. She didn't hide what she wanted. She went after it and he admired that, but at the same time, it drove him completely crazy. "Sher you are not like those other women. You're Ethan's cousin and -" "The fact that I'm Ethan's cousin" She said interrupting him yet again. "should have any bearing whatsoever on us having sex." "But it does." He said turning onto the road that led to the Crane Estate. "If you weren't Ethan's cousin things would be a lot different, but the fact remains that you are. Ethan is my best friend and I won't do anything to jeopardize that. I'm sorry." He could feel her studying him, but he refused to look at her. He was doing what was right. He wanted to be with her so much it hurt, but he knew that he couldn't offer more than a few nights in bed. So far, that seemed to be all she wanted, but he couldn't take the chance that one day she would want more. If that happened then he would only end up hurting her. There was no way he would give his heart to another woman. There was just no way. * * * * * Luis stopped in front of the main house then shut off the engine and turned to look at her. "Sher -" "Don't Luis." She said placing her fingers over his lips. "I know what you're going to say and I don't want to hear it. I want you and I know you want me. That's just a fact neither one of us can seem to control or ignore. And you know what? I don't want to. I should warn you now that I'm not going to give up. I plan to change your mind." Luis appeared stunned for a moment. She smiled then before he had a chance to say anything she opened her door and stepped out into the night air. She was halfway toward the house when Luis caught up with her. His swung her around to face him and the intensity she saw in his eyes took her by surprise. "You didn't let me finish what I was going to say." "Luis, I don't -" "Let me finish." He said placing his right forefinger over her lips. "I do want you. More than I've ever wanted any woman in my life, but -" "No." She said removing his finger from her lips. "If you want me then there is no buts. I'll deal with Ethan and anyone else in my family that has a problem with it. I want to be with you Luis, just as much as you want to be with me." "Sher, Ethan isn't my only concern. I don't want to get involved with anyone right now. A few nights of hot sex is one thing, but I know from experience that girls tend to see it as more than that. Eventually, they let their heart get involved and that only leads to pain - for them. Because I can tell you right now, my heart is off limits. I never let things go beyond just sex." Sher shook her head. What an ego he had. "Who said I was looking to steal your heart, Luis? A few nights of hot sex is fine with me. More than fine actually. That is all I'm looking for too. I just got out of a serious relationship about a month ago and I'm certainly not looking or ready to get into another one." Luis searched her eyes for what seemed to be an eternity then he broke out into a sexy grin. He wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her close to his body. "As long as we understand each other then I don't see the harm in us getting better acquainted." Sher smiled, then pulled his head down to hers. "It's about time you saw things my way." This kiss was unlike the others they had shared. This one spoke of promises. Not the promise of love, but the promise of passion, intense undeniable passion. She moaned as his tongue traced her bottom lip then again when he slipped it inside to duel with hers. His hands ran over her back and down to her buttocks. He pulled her closer and she could feel his arousal against her belly. But then, a second later, he pulled away from her and she couldn't help but mutter a protest. He gave a regretful smile. "We had better stop now, sweetheart. Someone could come out and I think we've provided enough entertainment for today." She laughed and raised a hand to his cheek. "You're right we have. I guess I'll see you tomorrow then?" He smiled and pulled her into for a quick kiss. "Just try and keep me away. Now that I know we both want the same things there is no way I'm going to deny us any longer. Tomorrow is Saturday so I have the day off. How 'bout I take you to dinner tomorrow night? I'll pick you up about seven?" "I'd love to and yes, seven is fine by me." She said with a huge smile on her face. "Good." He said leaning down for one more quick kiss before letting her go. "I'll see you then." "I can't wait." She said blowing him a kiss and watching him walk toward his truck. Once he got inside and started the engine, she turned to walk toward the front door. She was just about to open it when Luis said her name. She turned to see him leaning out the window of his truck. "Did I tell you how sexy you looked tonight?" He asked with a devilish gleam in his eye. "Because if I didn't, I sure as hell meant to." She laughed and started to reply, but before she could, he leaned back inside the truck and started backing up. When he got to the end of the driveway, he waved. She smiled and waved back then watched him drive off. Once she couldn't see his truck anymore, she turned and opened the front door. She couldn't wait until tomorrow. She just knew they were going to have a good time. Sighing happily she walked up the stairs toward her room, but not before stopping at Ethan's room to tell him she was home and that she was all right. She knew he wanted to ask what happened, but she had no desire to get into it right now. She could do that in the morning. Right now, the only thing she wanted to do was crawl into bed and dream. Dream of tomorrow night and her first date with Luis. Chapter Thirteen Luis woke the next morning to someone banging on his apartment door. He groaned then turned and looked at the clock on his bedside table. Six thirty-eight. Damn, he thought rolling out of bed and grabbing a pair of jeans out of his closet, it was too damn early to have visitors. Luis pulled on his jeans, zipped them up, then walked into the living room, and opened the door. He wasn't at all surprised to find Antonio on the other side. His older brother was not known for his patience. "What do you want, Antonio?" "An explanation." His brother said pushing the door open and stepping inside. Luis swore then slammed the door shut and turned to face his brother. "I don't owe you an explanation." "The hell you don't." Antonio said walking toward him until they were standing nose to nose. "I think the least I deserve is an explanation. What you did last night was totally irresponsible and I want to know why. I mean where was your head? You're a hell of a lot smarter than... What the hell happened to your jaw, Luis?!" Luis glared at Antonio for a half a second longer then raised a hand to his jaw. He winced when he found it was still sore. Damn Josh Edwards. He'd gotten in a couple of lucky punches last night, but Luis took satisfaction in the knowledge that he'd gotten in a few good licks himself. "It's none of your damn business, Tony." Antonio narrowed his eyes at the use of the hated nickname. "Dammit Luis, tell me what hap-" "I don't take orders from you, Antonio! I'm twenty-five years old, not ten!" Luis angrily walked around his brother then made his way into the kitchen to make some coffee. After he got the coffeepot ready, he punched the start button then watched as it began to percolate. His hands gripped the edge of the counter top while he tried to gain control of his temper. He and Antonio never seemed to get along. He couldn't remember the last civil conversation they had. The last few years they just seemed to push each other's buttons more and more frequently. Luis knew things wouldn't be nearly so bad if Antonio would stop telling him what to do and constantly treating him like he couldn't make his own decisions. Granted, he knew he could be a little more patient in listening to his brother's opinions instead of resenting the hell out of them, but he was tired of listening to how other people thought he should behave. His parents were just as bad as Antonio. No matter how hard he tried he could never live up to their expectations. They were constantly telling him how perfect Antonio was and how he should be more like Antonio. It had been that way his entire life and he was sick of it. Hell, that was the reason he'd moved out a couple of years ago. He wanted to get out from under his big brother's shadow. Luis heard Antonio take a seat at the table, but he refused to turn around just yet. He wasn't ready to listen to another one of his damn how-could-you-be-so-stupid lectures. He at least needed to get some caffeine into his system first. Once the coffee was ready, Luis lifted a hand to the cabinet in front of him and pulled out two mugs. Then he poured two cups of coffee and set the carafe back. There was no need to do anything else since he and Antonio both drank their coffee black. "Here." Luis said turning and setting a mug on the table in front of Antonio. 'If I have to sit and listen to one of your lectures, I'm gonna need some caffeine to keep me awake." Antonio shook his head then grabbed the mug and took a healthy sip. Luis grabbed his own mug off the counter behind him then walked over and took the chair opposite Antonio. He wondered what part of the lecture his brother would start with first... the fight... catching him and Sher making out in his truck... or the fact that he let himself get caught? Any way it went down, Luis knew he should be prepared for LONG lecture. His brother always tended to be long winded when he was being condescending and judgmental. "All right," Luis said taking a sip of his coffee and meeting his brother's eyes over the rim of the ceramic mug. "let's get this lecture over with. I have plans to take care of." "Plans?" Antonio asked with a raised brow. "These plans have anything to do with that blond I caught you with last night?" Luis closed his eyes as a picture of Sher flashed in his mind. He couldn't wait until tonight. That seductive gleam in her eyes, when they had agreed to have a no strings attached affair, was still plaguing him and since he no longer planned to fight his attraction to her, he figured virtually anything could happen tonight. In fact, he figured them having sex tonight was more than just a possibility, it was practically a given. It seemed as if every time they were together they came closer and closer to losing themselves in each other. He grinned. Sher was definitely a wild one. She always managed to catch him off guard. No woman had ever been able to do that before. Usually, he was the one in hot pursuit, but Sher... Sher had turned the tables on him and damned if it didn't like it. Her bold advances turned him on like he'd never been turned on before. Hell, she could just glance at him with those crystal blue eyes and he'd go up in flames. He knew that sex between them would be out of this world. They seemed to have this chemical reaction to each other that defied anything he had experienced before or probably ever would experience after her. Every kiss, every caress between them only seemed to heighten the physical pleasure. He knew that the moment that they went beyond just kissing and a few light touches would be the most incredible thing either one of them had ever experienced. Hot sex wouldn't come close to describing it, he thought his grin widening. It would be more like dynamite, electrically charged and highly explosive. "Helloooo!" Antonio said waving his hands in front of his face. Luis blinked. "Sorry, I was just thinking about something." "Something or someone?" Antonio asked with a huge grin that Luis wasn't at all sure he liked. In fact, he was positive he didn't like it. His brother seemed entirely too happy all of the sudden and that worried him. Not that he wasn't glad that Antonio wasn't laying into him about last night, but something about that look on his brother's face bothered him. It was almost as if he thought he knew something that he himself didn't. * * * * * Her head flew back in pleasure as his mouth clamped onto her breast. She had never felt so alive before. No one had ever made her feel this way. Just one touch from him and an all consuming fire broke out inside her. His mouth left her breast to trail down her stomach to the juncture at her thighs. When his lips closed over her, she screamed his name. She was on the brink of losing total control when someone called out to her. "Sheridan?" The voice called. "Sheridan, are you okay?" Sheridan opened her eyes and glanced at the figure in the doorway. She found Theresa standing there with a curious expression on her face. Oh god, she thought raising a hand to her forehead, had she really called out Luis name? Her face flamed as the memory of why she called out his name hit her. "Sheridan?" Theresa asked walking inside and closing the door. "Are you okay? I thought I heard you scream." Sheridan raised herself into a sitting position and leveled a look at Theresa. "Yeah, I guess I was dreaming." "Of my brother?" Theresa asked with a knowing smile. "I know I heard you say his name when I opened the door." She felt the heat creep back into her cheeks and closed her eyes in embarrassment. To be caught dreaming about some guy was one thing, but to be caught by his sister? A woman that also happened to be her cousin's girlfriend? Well, that was something else altogether. "Uh, I don't remember what the dream was about." Theresa's brown eyes sparkled with humor. "Oh, I think you know. But don't worry I'm not going to ask you what it was about." "Thanks." She said smiling. "I appreciate that." "Don't thank me." Theresa said with a laugh as she sat down next to her on the bed. "The only reason I'm not asking is because I already know. The way you said his name and look on your face when you woke up pretty much said it all." Sheridan groaned then fell back against the bed and buried her head underneath the covers. She was going to stay under these covers all day. No, she thought suddenly breaking out into a huge grin, she couldn't do that. She and Luis had a date tonight. She still couldn't believe all that had happened yesterday. Luis had actually gotten into a fistfight over her. Granted, his fight with Josh hadn't just been about her. She knew the animosity between them went deep and she still had no clue as to why. Luis had really seemed to believe Josh would hurt her last night. Why? He hadn't given her any indication he meant to do her harm. In fact, he seemed like a pretty nice guy to her. But if he was so nice, she thought, why had she been so relieved when Luis showed up? Because you didn't know the guy, a voice in the back of her mind answered. She knew something bad could have happened last night and she was still having a hard time dealing with the fact that it would have been her own damn fault. She had just gotten so angry when she had seen Luis with his ex that she had reacted without thinking. If Josh hadn't been standing there at that moment she probably wouldn't have reacted the way she did, but then again she couldn't be too sure of that. If she were honest with herself, she would admit that she had wanted to make Luis mad. She was not even going to consider the reason why. He had accused her of being jealous, but that was just plain ridiculous. To be jealous she had to have feelings for him and she didn't. The only thing she wanted from him was a good time... and preferably a few nights of hot sex. Since he had finally given in and promised to stop fighting the affect they had on each other, she knew it was only a matter of time before she got what she wanted. Then again, she supposed he could always change his mind. No, she thought shaking her head and sitting up, she had seen the desire in his eyes last night. There was no way he was going to back out now. And even if he tried, she wasn't about to let him. Not now. Not when she had finally gotten him to admit he wanted her. Had they really only known each other three days? It felt like much longer than that. She supposed it was the chemistry between them. They seemed to have an undeniable physical attraction that had been there since they laid eyes on each other. "Sheridan?" Theresa asked trying to get her attention. "Did you hear me?" She shook her head. "No, I'm sorry. I was thinking about last night." "Last night as in the party or last night as in what happened when you left with Josh and Luis tore out after you?" Sheridan wondered how much she should tell her, but then decided to just say it all. She didn't see the harm it could do. Besides maybe, Theresa could answer her questions about the tension and animosity between Luis and Josh. "I was thinking about what happened after I left with Josh. He took me to... I have no idea where it was, but Luis found us. He was so mad. I have never seen anyone that mad before. He yanked Josh out of the car and they..." "They what? Theresa asked concern lighting her voice. "They got into a fight. Josh threw a few punches, but Luis managed to duck them all. At least he did until Josh told me about him putting Ethan in the hospital. When Luis walked toward me to explain about it, Josh pushed him from behind. As soon as Luis turned Josh threw a punch and hit Luis in the jaw." "Oh god." Theresa said her hand flying to her mouth. "Is Luis okay?" Sheridan nodded. "Yeah, I got them to stop before either one of them was seriously hurt." "You got them to stop? How?" Theresa asked. Sheridan laughed. "I gave them both a heartattack by screaming at the top of my lungs. You should have seen their faces. They both froze and had no idea what to do." "That will do it." Sheridan wondered how to go about asking Theresa about Luis fight with Ethan or about his animosity with Josh. She knew it was something pretty serious. "Theresa, what... what did happen between Ethan and Luis and also between Josh and Luis?" Theresa shook her head and got up to stand by the window. The room got so quiet she wasn't sure Theresa was going to answer her, but then she turned around and Sheridan knew she was. She sucked in a breath as Theresa began her story. "Ethan and I had had been dating secretly for months." Theresa said, regret lacing her voice. "We kept it from Luis because we weren't sure how he would feel about it. Ethan used to be a lot like Luis, dating a lot of girls, but never taking anyone or anything too seriously. I, of course, saw him as a challenge and went after him. When we started to get to know one another I fell for him and he fell for me. We had been so secretive with our relationship that by the time we realized it wasn't just a fling, the damage had already been done." Theresa stopped and took a deep breath then continued with her story. "Luis came over to the house one afternoon. I don't even know what he was there for, but he caught Ethan and I in bed together. He went nuts. He accused Ethan of seducing me behind his back, much like Ethan accused Luis of doing the other day. Anyway, things got ugly pretty fast. Luis has a really bad temper when he thinks someone is hurting someone he loves. So when he saw Ethan in bed with me, he lost his cool. I know it was only because he had trusted Ethan and felt like Ethan betrayed him. I mean there was no way he could have known that we were in love. We didn't even know ourselves at that time. The only thing Luis saw was that Ethan had seduced his little sister. It didn't matter that I was a grown woman and was making my own choices. I was his sister and he was looking out for me." "And that's what caused the fight between Luis and Ethan? This is why Ethan ended up in the hospital?" Theresa nodded. "Luis had thrown a couple of punches and the force of one of them knocked Ethan backward into the wall. Ethan hit the wall so hard a picture fell off and the glass broke right over his head. Blood ran down the side of his head and Luis literally froze in fear. He swore after that day he would never get into another fight and as far as I know he hasn't. Well, except for last night with Josh, but I suppose that one had been a long time coming though." "What do you mean?" Sheridan asked as she shook her head trying to get the look on Luis face as he realized that Ethan was hurt out of her head. It surprised her how well she could see the pain on his face. It didn't matter that she hadn't been there. She knew Luis and she knew it must have nearly killed him to realize Ethan had been hurt. Theresa shook her head. "I... I think Luis should be the one to tell you that story. But I will say that Josh Edwards is not the nice guy he appears to be. He has his own agenda for everything and you can bet he had one for last night. More than likely it was to get to Luis and it worked." It had worked a little too well, Sheridan thought remembering the anger on Luis face as he pulled Josh out of the car. She had never seen anyone so angry before. Was his anger because of what happened between him and Josh in the past? Or because he really believed Josh was going to hurt her last night? Josh really hadn't given her any sign that would make her think he would harm her, but then again, before Luis showed up she had been worried about that very thing. He said he had taken her to a place where they could talk and get to know each other better, but Sheridan had been so uncomfortable she had her doubts about that. In fact, she had serious doubts about it. She shivered as she remembered him placing his hand on her thigh. She also remembered questioning his statement about 'getting to know each other better'. She had wondered if he meant more than merely talking. She figured he did. Damn, she thought running a hand through her hair and fluffing the curls out, she had made a serious error in judgment last night. Thanks to Luis, it hadn't gotten out of control, but the mere fact that it could have had caused her more than a moment of panic last night. What would have happened had Luis not showed up last night? Sheridan shook her head at that thought. It wasn't one she wanted to dwell on. In fact, she wanted to forget everything that happened last night. Well almost everything, she thought smiling as the memory of what happened in Luis' truck hit her. If his brother hadn't interrupted them she knew things would have gone further than they did. They just couldn't seem to control themselves when they were together and now that Luis had agreed to stop fighting the pull between them, she knew it was only a matter of time before things did go further. She wouldn't doubt it if something happened tonight on their date. In fact, she would be highly surprised if something didn't happen on their date tonight, especially since they had both agreed they weren't looking for anything serious and that all they wanted was a few nights of hot sex. She wondered where he would take her tonight. But then again, she didn't really care where it was as long as they got to spend some time alone together. She would be prepared for that tonight. In fact, she planned to make sure it happened. She wanted Luis like she had never wanted anyone before and she couldn't wait until they were together. She knew she was being rather bold in her pursuit of him, but that was what she was after right? She wanted to ruin her reputation and she knew Luis had already helped her out with that more than once. After that pool incident and the song and dance she did last night, she knew none of Ethan's friends thought of her as little miss innocent. "Sheridan?" Theresa called from behind her interrupting her thoughts. "Ethan and I are going to the mall today. Do you want to go with us?" Did she? Yeah, she thought turning and giving Theresa a smile, it would give her a chance to find the perfect outfit for tonight. "Sure. I need to shop for a new outfit." Theresa nodded. "Okay, I'll let you get ready then. Ethan and I will be waiting downstairs." "All right," Sheridan said walking to her closet and taking out a pair of white cutoffs and a purple tank top. "I'll be down in about twenty minutes." Sheridan gave her another smile then walked into the bathroom and turned on the shower. She had to find the perfect outfit for tonight, one that Luis wouldn't be able to say no to her in. Then again, he wasn't supposed to say no anymore. After all, they had come to an agreement. But just in case he tried to say no, she was going to make sure she was prepared to change his mind. Chapter Fourteen Sheridan grabbed her shopping bags out of the backseat of Ethan's car and started to make her way inside the house. She really hoped Luis liked what she bought to wear tonight. It had taken her two hours of looking in four different department stores to find it and then it had taken the sales woman and Theresa another fifteen minutes on top of that to actually convince her to buy it. They said it really flattered her figure, but she still wasn't sure she agreed with them. She supposed it was too late now though. She only had an hour and a half before Luis was due to arrive. She was glad that Ethan and Theresa had decided to go to the movies tonight, because with Julian and Ivy still on vacation in Europe, that meant she and Luis would be alone when he arrived. She knew it would make him feel alot better not having to dodge Ethan and Theresa's questions. That was the main reason she hadn't told them that she and Luis even had a date tonight. She didn't want to take the chance that one of them would call him and try to change his mind. Sheridan shook her head then started up the stairs toward her bedroom. She wished she knew where Luis was taking her tonight, but then again, she supposed it didn't really matter. As long as they got to spend some time alone, she would be a happy woman. Maybe after dinner she could talk him into taking her some place more private - like his apartment. They could eat dinner then go back to his place and spend the rest of the night getting to know each other. She smiled as an image of the way she wanted to get to know him flashed in her mind. The man was too sexy for her peace of mind. She still couldn't get what happened in his truck last night out of her head. If his brother hadn't showed up when he did... Well, she knew that she and Luis would have become a lot better acquainted. She could still feel the way he had kissed his way down her neck and over her breasts... the way he had taken her nipple in his mouth and lightly tugged it with his teeth... the way he had... She shook her head as images from the dream she had last night flashed in her mind. She needed to take a cold shower. Her body was fast becoming overheated and he hadn't even showed up yet. How in the world was she going to get through dinner with all these images floating in her mind? She wouldn't be at all surprised if she dragged him out of the restaurant like a sex starved maniac. She laughed at that thought. What was it about Luis that made her lose all her inhibitions? Sure, she had planned to have a little fun while she was in Harmony, but if she was honest with herself she knew the fun she wanted to have with Luis was not the fun she had planned on when she first arrived. She had thought she could merely flirt with a few guys, maybe go out with a couple of them, share a few kisses, but she hadn't really planned on anything more. At least, she hadn't until she saw Luis dive into the pool. She could still see the way the water traveled down his chest toward the edge of those black swim trunks. She had taken one look at him and known she had to have him. And tonight, she thought breaking out into a wicked grin, if she was lucky, she would have him right where she wanted him. She could only imagine how hot it was going to be between them. She wondered if reality would live up to the fantasy in her mind. Something told her it wouldn't. Something told her that reality would be so much more wonderful than she could ever possibly imagine. * * * * * Luis stepped out of the shower and grabbed the towel off the rack beside him. His plans for the night had taken him a little longer than he thought to set up. Now he would have to rush in order to pick Sher up at seven like they planned. He knew dinner would go okay, but it was the after dinner part that he wasn't so sure about. He knew what he wanted to do, but he still wasn't totally convinced it was the right thing to do. Then again, he thought shaking his head causing beads of water to fly through the air, when had he ever done the right thing? According to Antonio, it was never. No matter what he did, his brother just always seemed to believe the worst in him. Of course, he never gave him reason to think otherwise. He always found it easier to let him and the rest of his family believe the worst in him. The only one that ever gave him the benefit of the doubt was Miguel and that was only because Miguel seemed to idolize him. Theresa usually gave him the benefit of the doubt, except when it came to women, then she was as bad if not worse than Antonio was. He was surprised that she hadn't stuck her two cents in about him and Sher yet. He supposed she was waiting until she got him alone. That was another conversation he wasn't looking forward to. Luis had been glad Antonio had been called into the office this morning before he could start his lecture. He hadn't really been in the mood to listen to him. Of course, he knew his brother, and he knew that they would get into it sometime. Damn, he thought running a hand through his wet hair, why was it that everyone seemed so determined to lecture him on his dating habits? He understood Ethan's point of view, because Sher after all was his cousin, but he damn sure didn't understand Antonio's. His brother hadn't seen him with a woman in ages and yet because he caught them in such a compromising position he had automatically thought Luis was doing something wrong. He still didn't get how he could have thought Sher was underage. She didn't look that young! Luis finished getting dressed then got out his razor and made sure he got a nice close shave. If something did happen between him and Sher tonight, he certainly didn't want to have to worry about her getting whisker burns. He still couldn't believe Sher wanted a no strings attached affair as much as he did. The woman was definitely one of a kind. She went after what she wanted and she didn't care who knew it. He really liked that about her. She was wild and so uninhibited. He had no idea how anyone could ever call her little miss innocent. She was about as far away from innocent as a person could get. He smiled at the memory of her striping in the pool and wondered what she would do tonight. He knew there was no telling with her. She definitely kept him on his toes. Just when he thought he had her figured out, she threw him another curve ball. Well, tonight he thought grinning at his reflection in the mirror, he planned to throw a few curve balls of his own. It was time he turned the tables and showed her just how much fun he could be. * * * * * Sheridan checked her appearance over one last time in the mirror then grabbed her purse and started making her way downstairs. It was almost seven so she knew Luis would be arriving soon. She wondered what he would be wearing. She hoped it was black. He looked so good in black. It made him look dangerous and she liked that. He was a bad boy, yet she knew there was more to him than that. He definitely provided her with a challenge. She was used to be chasing her, not the other way around. From what Theresa had told her, Luis had done his fair share of skirt chasing, but she took pride in the fact that she was the one that had started pursuing him. She liked the fact that she caught him off guard. She liked the fact that she was in control of what happened between them. She liked the fact that she had always instigated the compromising positions they had found themselves in. Well at least she had until last night. Last night he had been the one to kiss her and they had both gone up in flames. It had been the first time he had actually made a move on her and she had been thrilled that he was no longer fighting her. The doorbell rang just as she reached the bottom of the stairs and she took a deep calming breath before going to open it. But then the minute she opened the door and saw Luis, the air left her lungs entirely. He wore tight black denim jeans and an open collar button up black shirt tucked in at the waist. She wondered if he left the top few buttons undone because he knew it would cause her to drool over the muscles in his chest all night long. When she glanced up into his brown eyes and he smiled, she had the distinct impression he had. He winked at her and she blushed. Before she could say anything his eyes left hers and started to roam over her body. She felt her skin tingle everywhere his eyes touched. She knew the dress she wore was revealing to say the least, which was precisely why she bought it. Not only did it fit her like a second skin, but it also had thin spaghetti straps so her neck and shoulders were mostly bare, as was a good part of her chest. She smiled as heard his quick intake of breath and almost laughed when she noticed his eyes seemed to be glued to her chest. When he finally raised her eyes back to her face, they were intense with desire. "You look sexy as hell in that dress." "Why thank you." She said stepping closer and fingering one section of his collar making sure her fingernail lightly raked the exposed skin of his chest. "You don't look so bad yourself." "God," he said wrapping his arms around her and pulling her close to his body. "I'm not sure if I can make it through dinner." She grinned. "Who said you had to?" He laughed and leaned in to place a light kiss on her lips then pulled back and shook his head. "You are something else, you know that?" "Yes, I do and that is exactly why you find me irresistible." "You may be right about that." He said flashing her a devilish grin and stepping back. He ran a hand down her arm and she shivered. "But tonight, I definitely don't plan to resist you. Hell, I don't think I could even if I wanted to." Sheridan smiled as he laced his fingers with hers and pulled her out the door. He released her hand long enough for her to turn and lock the door then once she had closed it, he grabbed her hand again and led her to his truck. She couldn't wait to find out what he had planned for the evening. She knew whatever it was, it would be a night to remember. After all, how could it not be? She now knew without a doubt in her mind that sometime tonight she and Luis would become lovers. It was no longer a question. It was now a simple undeniable fact. Chapter Fifteen Luis glanced at Sher out of the corner of his eye and couldn't contain the appreciative grin that spread across his face. She looked sexy as hell tonight and because of that, he wasn't at all sure he wanted to take her out in public. She looked entirely too tempting in that red dress and it sure as hell didn't leave much to the imagination. Then again, that could be just him. After all, he'd already seen the delicious looking body underneath so his imagination already knew what secrets that dress held. A surge of heat shot through his body as an image of them in the pool flashed in his mind. He'd made her lose control and he wanted to do it again. Only this time, he wanted to be inside her when it happened. He wanted to be inside her and look into her eyes as she climaxed. He groaned as an image of him and Sher naked and in the throes of passion flashed in his mind. The seductive look in her eyes was enough to make him lose control without even having to touch her. He shook his head and tried to clear it of the thought-stealing mental images. If he didn't get his mind on something else and fast, they would never make it to dinner. He wasn't even sure they'd make it to his apartment! "Luis?" Sher asked from beside him. "Are you all right? You look awfully tense all of the sudden." He turned to look at her and the moment he saw his own desire mirrored in her eyes he knew there was no way they could sit across from each other in some public restaurant. The need was too strong for that. "Sher, how hungry are you?" "Very." She said with a mischievous grin. "But not for food." He groaned again then made a quick U-turn and headed toward his apartment. Ten minutes later, after breaking several more traffic laws, he pulled into the parking lot of his apartment building and shut off the engine. Then taking a deep breath, he turned to Sher and raised a brow. He needed to make sure she knew what she was doing. He didn't want to get up to his apartment and have her change her mind at the last minute. When she scooted across the truck seat and pulled him into a heated kiss, he knew she wouldn't. She seemed to want it as much as he did. His hands roamed over her back as hers gripped his hair. He knew the kiss was only a prelude to what was going to happen when they got up to his apartment. He pulled back and lightly nipped her lip with his teeth. She shuttered in response. God, he couldn't wait to have her underneath him. Luis let go of her so that he could reach behind him and open his truck door. He grabbed his keys out of the ignition then slid out and held out his hand to her. "So what do you say, sweetheart? Wanna go some place more private?" "I thought you'd never ask." She said grabbing her purse off the seat beside her and placing her hand in his. As soon as her feet hit the ground, Luis pulled her into his arms and covered her mouth with his again. He just couldn't get enough of her. Never taking his lips from hers, he reached behind them and slammed the truck door shut. A second later, he backed her up against it and ran his hands up and down her sides. She moaned into his mouth as his hand brushed against her breast and he knew if he didn't get them up to his apartment soon, they would give his neighbors one hell of a show. He pulled away, albeit reluctantly, and ran his hand down her arm to link their hands. "Ready sweetheart?" She squeezed his hand then looked up at him and gave him a dazzling smile. "Definitely." Luis returned her smile then turned and led her up the stairs to his apartment on the second floor. He released her hand to search through his keys for the one that unlocked the door then once he found it, he placed it in the lock. But before he made a move to turn it, he looked at her. He had to be certain this was what she wanted. "Are you sure, Sher? Because we can still turn back and go to dinner." Instead of answering him with her voice, she walked closer, placed her hand on his and helped him turn the key. They never took their eyes off each other as they heard the click of the lock, signaling they could enter. * * * * * Sheridan heard the click of the lock and knew there was no turning back. Not that she wanted to, anyway. No, she had wanted this from the moment she saw him and she knew he felt the same way. He didn't have to tell her. She saw it in his eyes and felt it in his kiss. He wanted her just as much as she wanted him and that was the reason she lowered her hand to the doorknob and slowly turned it. She smiled at him as she raised her palm to the door and swung it open. That was apparently all the encouragement he needed, because the next thing she knew they were inside his apartment and she was backed up against the wall. One large hand rested on the small of her back and pulled her to him and the other began to run seductively up and down her side. Then his mouth covered hers. She moaned at the heady sensation his kiss was causing her and he took advantage and slipped his tongue inside. Shivers of desire raced through her body as his tongue plunged into her mouth, exploring it with demanding mastery. She flicked her tongue against his and then it was his turn to moan. She took the initiative to slide her tongue into his mouth, wanting... needing to taste him too. Again and again, they explored each others mouths and again and again, his tongue glided against hers. The pleasure was mounting fast and she thought she would die with the need for more. Her hands stole their way to the buttons of his shirt and just as she slid the first one free, she felt his hands at the back of her dress, easing the zipper down. As soon as the material parted and he rubbed his hands across her bare back, she pulled her head away to look at him. His eyes were dark and intense with passion, much like she knew her own to be. He gave her a devilishly seductive smile then raised a hand to her shoulder and slid a finger underneath the thin strap of her dress to pull it down her arm. One breast broke free of the material and he immediately covered it with his palm, massaging... caressing. The feel of his rough palm against her soft flesh caused another moan to escape her lips. As his hand continued to massage her breast, his lips started to kiss a path down her neck and over her shoulders. She arched her back as his mouth replaced his palm and he took her hardened peak into his mouth. Her head hit the wall, but she didn't pay it any mind. She couldn't. Not while his mouth was clamped to her breast, bringing with it all kinds of erotic sensations. He used one hand to remove the other strap from her shoulder then in one swift motion her dress was falling off her to pool at their feet. She stepped out of it and quickly kicked it off to the side then raised a hand to the open space in his shirt and ran her hand over his chest. The moment her fingers touched his hardened muscles she knew she needed more. She raised both hands up to his chest, then gathered the material in her hands, and ripped the shirt open. Buttons flew through the air and hit the floor with a ping. Luis raised his head in surprise then groaned as her mouth started to cover his chest in tiny kisses. He rested his palms against the wall as she placed an open mouthed kiss on his neck then started to work her way down his chest toward the waistband of his jeans. She lowered her hand to the button, but before she could open it, he swung her up into his arms and covered her mouth with his. Once they reached his bedroom, he laid her gently on the bed. But when she opened her eyes, he was nowhere to be found. "Luis?" Surely, he didn't change his mind. "Luis?" "I'm right here." He called from the doorway. "I didn't want any interruptions so I went and unplugged the phone." She shook her head and smiled at him. "You think of everything, don't you?" "Well, I try. I also went to get these." He held a box of condoms in his hands and she watched mesmerized as he walked toward her, opening the box along the way. He took out one foil packet then placed it and the box on the table next to her. Then he looked her over, an appreciative gleam lighting his eye. "God, you are so hot." She smiled up at him. "You're not so bad yourself. However, I do think you are a little over dressed." He laughed. "Yes, well that is for safety reasons. We wouldn't want to rush things now would we?" "I don't know, Luis, I kind of like where it was going. In fact, I think it's its about time you came over here and kissed me again." "You think so?" He asked raising a brow and giving her a cocky smile. "Mmm, hmm." She said raising a hand and crooking her finger at him. "I definitely think so." He smiled again then placed one knee on the bed and swung his other over her hips. But instead of kissing her like she asked, he placed his hands at the edge of her panties and tugged them down her legs then once they were free, he threw them across the room. "Now you look exactly like I pictured you in my fantasies." "Oh yeah? Well, in my fantasies, you weren't wearing nearly as much as you are right now. In fact," she said sitting up and placing her hand at the snap of his jeans. "You weren't wearing anything." She slid the button free then started to ease the zipper down. She never took her eyes off his face as she placed her hand inside and stroked him. He groaned and in the next second, she was flat on her back with him on top of her. "What's the matter Luis? Afraid I'll make you lose control?" "Sweetheart," He said leaning close to her ear. His warm breath hit the side of her face and she shivered. "I'm so close to the edge right now, it wouldn't take much to make me lose control. In fact, I think it's time you caught up with me." She felt his hand slid down her hips and over her thigh. Then he cupped her intimately and she arched off the bed. "Mmm, you are so wet." He leaned down to place a light kiss against her lips then pulled back and looked into her eyes. Then he whispered, "Open your legs for me, sweetheart." She couldn't help but meet his request. The huskiness in his voice and the look in his eyes was hypnotic. The minute she opened her legs, his mouth covered hers in a fiery kiss as his finger slipped inside and began to stroke her gently. She moaned at the passionate magic he started inside her. He was a magician and she was his ever-willing apprentice. * * * * * Luis loved how responsive she was. Every touch, every caress he gave her, she responded and met him with one of her own. Give and take, take and give. This had to be the most erotic sexual experience of his entire life. Never before had he felt so much with a woman. That should have worried him, but it didn't. It couldn't. He was too lost in the moment to really delve into what the emotions running through his body meant. She moaned again and he knew she was as close to the edge as he was. He pulled away and grabbed the foil packet off the table beside him. He tore it open then once he had rolled it on, he settled himself between her thighs. He smiled down at her then reached up to move the damp tendrils off hair off her face. Her eyes were filled with passion and he felt a tug in his heart as she broke out into a breathtaking smile. "God, I want you." She raised a hand to his face and lightly fingered his jaw. "I want you too, Luis. Right now." That was all he needed to hear. He entered her slowly giving her body time to take him in. Apparently, Sher disagreed with going slow because she wrapped her legs around his hips and took him all the way inside her. The moment their bodies joined, Sher captured his mouth in a steamy kiss. As he began to move inside her, she raked her nails across his back and he thought for sure he would lose it. But he was determined to make Sher lose control first. He felt the waves of passion start to take her, and he pulled back to look at her. She had her eyes closed. "Open your eyes, Sheridan. I want to see you." The moment he said her full name, her eyes flew open in surprise. He couldn't blame her, he was a little surprised himself. Her name had rolled so easily off his tongue. He wasn't sure why he had used it. He'd always made sure he thought of her as Sher. He certainly didn't want to think about what saying her full name now meant. He moved within her again and he saw the effect in her eyes. She was close, he thought, very close. He placed his hand on her breasts and took her hardened peak between his thumb and forefinger. In the next instant, she lost all control. "Luisssss!" The sound of his name on her lips as she climaxed caused his own control to snap. He held her body to him, as wave after wave hit her and then just as the last one took her, he let himself go. The power of his release shook him to the core. Never had he felt such a powerful climax. And as he collapsed on top of her, one thing became perfectly clear. He had seriously miscalculated his assessment of a no strings attached affair, because somehow, someway, she had gotten to him. Now the only question was what was he going to do about it.
