Fossil Roo and lots of troubles!

(Lich was intergued by Talon, but he had other things to take care of. There were these intruders to be dealt with. He decided to Curse the whole lot of them. The Curse spell hit Zidane, Dagger, Jason, Exan, and Jade. Zidane, Dagger, and Exan suddenly felt weaker. Jade was not affected by such a spell.)

Dracan: Nicely done, Lich. Oh wait, you've missed the boy.

Lich: No, I didn't. He was hit as well.

Dracan: I can sense his power, Lich. He wasn't affected. Why don't you strike him down while I take care of things here?

Lich: Fine by me, but I can't understand why...

Talon: It's because of the Dark Power. He keeps it from me with his own will.

Lich: Well, we can't have that. Hyaah!

(The skeletal Guardian of Chaos swings his long cane at Jason, who blocks with his sword. They continue fighting, but Lich knows he can outlast the kid. He has more stamina. Dracan, meanwhile, begins firing at the container with Ultima and his incantations. Soon it will break. Zidane gets up, though, and enters a Trance. He attacks them all with Grand Lethal. Lich is thrown back a few feet and Dracan is forced to brace himself. Talon is not affected. Instead, he fires a relatively small beam of Dark Power, which is pretty much all he can manage right now, at Zidane!)

I know all of your burdens, your pains... Let me make them...WORSE!

Exan:"That'll teach it. "Exan turned to look Dagger. "Can't you summon an Eidolon who could open a path to away from this tunnel." Dagger: "I can't. Eiko has the Fenrir Eidolon. I don't have any earth elemental eidolon" Exan: "Great. Then what?" Dagger:" Couldn't you call a wind to open the way?" Exan:" My powers doesn't work well underground. Lancer is the only technique which is effective underground." Then everybody turns again to fight the worms. Exan: "I hate these caves" " There are no such things as good and evil. Jade Flame. A green fire erupted around the rocks, melting them in seconds. She entered the mountain, and killed a few sandworms with her new sword and her Jade Flame technique. Jade: Anybody here?

(They could see a figure in the light as they headed out. Suddenly, the ground began to shake and the urge to MOVE became stronger as lava spewed from the ground inside the cavern!) Zidane: He's causing an eruption! Exam: Where is he?! Jason: He must be at the top! Zidane: Then let's get there! (They started to make their way up the mountain, circumventing any likely place for lava to flow in.) "We could kill anyone once."

Weather obeys me." Zidane:"Yeah but were still underground" Exan:" But the path is clear and thats enough. We are close enough the surface" Exan concentrated on weather and ran slower than others. Dagger: "How it is so cold in here" Exan stopped and made the air very cold. The lava started to turn to a solid rock again blocking the way of the rest of the lava. Exan:" That'll hold the lava for awhile but not for long". Exan turned around and ran after the others. " There are no such things as good and evil. (The lava flow starts up again, shooting up a lava tube towards the top of the mountain where Dracan CAN be barely seen along with Lich.) Dracan: Wonderful, isn't it? We will finally be reunited. Lich: Naturally. (Meanwhile, Zidane, Dagger, Jason, and Exan try to make their way up there to stop whatever Dracan's up to. However, a most horrifying discovery is made as they get closer to the top.) Dagger: The ground is...rotting? Jason: Rotting? Exan: Just like the legends... The Guardians of Chaos will destroy the world!

Points to Jason Jason: It wasn't me! Exan: Was it...Talon? Jason: Maybe... (They're silent the rest of the way up. Dracan standing there watching lava flow out of the volcano and a red-veined container like Lich's rising from it. Lich is the first to notice them.) Lich: What's this? A soulless being? I've not seen to like in a long time. And...hmmm... Heir evil? (His empty sockets face Jason, who is almost stunned by the gaze. The shadow-form of Talon appears in the sky, near the volcano.) Talon: Here. Lich: I thought there was another being in that chamber...and of an ancient order too. Perhaps you know of Chaos? Talon: Not personally. My father may know. Jason: What are you talking about? My dad has never met- Talon: Silence, fool! I said MY father, my real forebearer! Lich: You are of the Dark Power. I can see that. Does that make you...? Finally, she just got bored and pointed at Lich and Dracon Jade: Jade Flame Bind! Instantly, the two beings are surrounded by eerie green rings of flame that grow smaller whenever they move. She leaves Talon out because she doesn't consider him a threat. After all, you can't kill what isn't alive, right? Jade: That should hold you two for a while. She smiled and drew her sword. She knew that she would be attacked when they got out of their...bindings.

The mountain air healed him and ripped all negative status effects out of him. Exan:"Yes! Now were fighting outside!" Exan pointed at the sky and storm clouds started to gathera around the mountain. Exan's eyes were completely deep blue. Rain drops started to drop from the sky. When they hit Dagger and others, they were also freed from the curse. Exan turned to face Lich. Jason was already fighting against him. Exan summoned more thunderclouds and then lighting bolts started to hit Lich doing little damage but annoying him greatly because the flash and sound which blinded and deafed him for a moment. (and 1 000 000V can feel little uncomfortable when it hits something. And if it hits several times to the same target, then it feels REALLY uncomfortable) Lich:" Damn that rat!" Exan:" Hey! I'm not a rat" Meanwhile Jason was moving behind the Lich to gain advantage.(Lich is now and then momentarily blind and deaf) " There are no such things as good and evil. Now that he was free, his power had gone to full. He hated to be struck by lightning, so he opened his mouth and shot a Sandstorm spell at everyone. Except...where was the boy?) CLANK! Lich: Owww... (Behind him. Lich turned to deal with Jason again. Meanwhile, Dracan had also broken free. A simple pulse of his own energy had done the trick. However, he was angered by the attack done by Jade.) Dracan: Chew on this, my soulless assassin. (Dracan summons a Malboro in front of Jade. Instantly, it shoots out tentacles to grab her as Bad Breath wafts into her face.) Dracan: Almost ready... I know all of your burdens, your pains... Let me make them...WORSE!

But this time he got pure green armor which cleared the effect of the sandstorm. Everybody turned to look at him. Even the bad guys. Lich: "In the name of Abyss. Who are you?" Dracan: "So the guardians of light have awaken. Judging by your armor and powers you must be Weather. Where are the others, where are Mind, Life and Holy?" Exan answered and his voice was the deep and ancient again. Exan: "That's not your business. We are the guardians of Gaia as you are the guardians of Terra. You are chaos. We are order. We are your opposite power." Dracan growled. Dracan:" Even guardians die. Lich, kill him!" Exan turned to face Lich who created another sandstorm. Exan just raised his hands and the sandstorm died out. Exan: " Now face the wrath of the weather" More thunderclouds started to gather around the volcano. (OOC: I hope you don't mind if I add more forces to this storyline. Now Dracan has another motive than to destory world. To destroy its guardians. And Zidane and the others have also new motive. To find the other guardians who are Mind, Holy and Life. Mind has the power to change people's memories, read their mind and so on. Life has the power to rise people from dead and Holy is the opposite of Dracan. S/he has the power of the planet. But since there are five guardians of chaos there are also five guardians of light. Ultimate Massacre Regular Posts: 12 (12/18/01 22:13)	Guardians of Terra? OOC: A good idea, but I'll need to get something out into the open here. The Guardians of Chaos are vintage FF1 enemies. They went from world to world, sucking the life out of it and terrorizing the populace with their unbelievable power. Lich rotted the ground, Kary set fires in villages and unleashed volcanoes, Kraken ruled the waves, Tiamat dominated the skies, and Chaos reigned over them all. This continued until one day...when the Light Warriors came to restore the world. So, allow me to help this along. IC> Dracan: The Guardians of Chaos and Terra are not one in the same. I let Garland borrow the forms of my comrades to make lesser versions of them. That was when I'd heard of your kind. Lich: Garland...? Our servant, Garland? Dracan: No, a different one. He wasn't too thrilled with what happened to that guy either. Lich: Whatever. (Lich's Sandstorms were no good anymore, so he casted something to make this "Weather" shut up. He casted Silence. Meanwhile, Dracan had FINALLY finished transferring energy to the red-veined container before him.) Dracan: What a gas-guzzler! I forgot how powerful they really were! The Ultima's...gone! Lich: You're out? Dracan: Totally. Only my own energy remains. Lich: Then why not lend a hand? Dracan: Great idea! Lend some hands, Lich! Lich: What? Oh, of course! (A few undead hands come out of the ground to spar with everyone who's there. Meanwhile, the container bursts into flames!) Dracan: OW! Watch it! Voice: Sorry, Drac. Dracan: Don't call me that. Tiamat would hate it. Voice: Can't blame me for trying. (The fire dies down to reveal the form of the Guardian of Fire, Kary. She has a large python-like body for the waist down and human-looking the rest of the way. She has six arms and scimitars and is definitely not like a Gorgon.) Kary: Who are these beings? The guardians of light are opposite to guardians of chaos and so they have a person in both side which has the sametype of power. Armor=Earth (Lich) Weather=Air (Tiamat) Mind=Fire (Kary) Life=Water(???) Holy=Shadow? (Dracan) The powers aren't equal but they are opposite. Chaos uses the clear elements while light uses their "deeper meaning". Then back to the rpg) Exan's armor glowed bright green and the silence wore off. The he said a few words of command and the skeleton hands frozed solid and shattered to the ground. Dracan, Lich and Kary were getting really angry now. Dracan:" ah. I forgot how annoying those armors are. All negative status effects are rendered useless. But we'll handle you later. Let's go." Dracan gave a mark to Kary and Lich who moved to stand near him. Then Dracan waved his hand and all the Guardians of Chaos disappeared. Zidane:" Where did they go?" Exan: "To wake the other two" Zidane:"But they don't have any ultima energy left" Exan: "I'm not sure if they need it anymore. They have fire, earth and shadow already. Zidane: "They must be heading to the other shrines. Let's stop them" Exan: I must find the others Guardians of Light first. Exan's trance wore off and the storm clouds stopped gathering around the mountain. Exan looked at his hands startled. Exan:"Wow. I had no idea" Zidane: "Do you know where the others are?" Exan: "One of us, Life is in a town where is lots of water and waterfalls." (OOC: I took awfully lot of liberties when I posted this post. I hope that it's okay. Massacre, feel free to tell a totally different version about how things happened. So basically, negate the leaving of the Guardians of Chaos. By the way. I got your email. Thanks. As for the Ultima, I don't think having power over earth, power, and fire will help. Oh, and I said that Kraken was the Water Guardian. IC> Zidane: Daguerro! Jason. Gesunteit! Exan: Yes! That must be it! Eh...Jason, why'd you say that? Jason: I couldn't help it. Talon: Childish fleshling. Jason: Go away! Talon: I don't have to. I might just kill one of your friends instead. Or maybe...YOU! (Talon fired a beam of Dark Power at Jason, but it was deflected right back at him with the Force Stealer.) Talon: GAH! (He disappears.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ (Meanwhile, inside the petrified Evil Forest...) Kary: Why are we here again? Dracan: We need a place to think that won't combust under your powers. Plus, Lich can make us a wicked castle out of these trees. Lich: They got stoned. Ha ha ha... Dracan: I need more Ultima to finish the job. I doubt I'll be able to take more from my last source. Lich: You mean that boy? Dracan: Yes. Kary: Who was that kid, anyway? I sensed something familiar about his aura. Lich: He descends Massacre, Master of the Dark Power. Kary: Oh yes, him. Dracan: I can think of only one other source of Ultima. Lich: And that is? Dracan: The Crystal. Kary: The Crystal? Gaia's Crystal? The one that manages the lives of this planet? Dracan: Yes. Kary: I like it. How do we get to it? Dracan: Simple. I will travel to the place it rests in. But then, I may have to deal with that other thing. Lich: Necron... Dracan: Exactly.

Zidane: "And I thought that we killed them in Memoria already" Exan stopped to look at Zidane. Exan: "Guardians of Chaos can't be killed. Their bodies can be killed but their minds are eternal. As long as there is life and death. Also the spirits of the Guardians of Light are eternal but we can be killed too. A cosmic balance." Jason:"How do you know all this?" Exan:"I know everything which the guardian spirit knows. In my case, I have the spirit of Weather." Dagger:"But the Guardians of Chaos doesn't look like normal humans or any lifeform. Why are you different?" Exan:Unlike the Guardians of Chaos we can't have physical body which lasts from world to world. When one of us is killed, the spirit finds a person who is worthy to the honour of becoming a guardian. Of course every guardian has become one by his own free will. But we have our armors which they don't have" They travelled the rest of way to the Invincible in silence. There they boarded the ship and leaved the volcano. When they were flying over the Ipsen's castle, Exan had a strange feeling. Exan:" I can sense someone down there. Armor is there. The opposite to Lich." Evil Forest. Lich stopped and watched at the skies for a long time. Dracan: "What now?" Lich: "Armor has awaken" Kary:"So is Mind. I can sense her aura." Dracan: "So the spirits of the Light Guardians have arrived to this world. It's have been a long time we had the change to fight with them." Alexandria Rusty had a weird dream. An ancient evil had returned to this world. Steiner woke up looking around startled. Everything was normal. Then a bright white flying star flied to the room. Steiner:"What is this evil?" But Steiner knew immediately that this light was no threat when the light started to talk to his mind. Steiner:"Wha? Guardians of Chaos. Who?...Very well. I accept" The light hit Steiner and disappeared. (OOC: So the Guardians have arrived. Rusty is Holy. If that is okay with you Massacre.) " There are no such things as good and evil. Necron: The Crystal is not yours to tamper with. Dracan: Didn't I see you in a fight against the Dawn Warriors? Necron: Uhhh...no. Dracan: Sure you were! Gilgamesh blew you up! Necron: I don't know what you're talking about! Dracan: Yeah, whatever. Anyway, you WANT me to use that Crystal. If I do, the Guardians of Chaos return and wreak havoc. Necron: Why should I care about that? Dracan: Because I know how much you'd like to see death and destruction. You want the souls of the dead for yourself. Necron: What I want does not enter into it. Dracan: Then you give me no choice. Necron: What can you do to one such as I? Dracan: You're nobody special. Just another power source. (Dracan's claws latch onto Necron and begin sucking in great amounts of power. Necron uses his great attack, the Grand Cross, and manages to remove the Guardian from him. However, the effort was draining.) Dracan: The Crystal is nothing special either. You and it are just a means to an end. Step aside. I am Power, and the hand of Chaos himself. Necron: You've won this round, but mine will come at a later date. Mark my words. Dracan: ...At a later...date. Got it. (Dracan proceeds to the Crystal, pulling in all the Ultima hew can carry.) * * * (Meanwhile, the crew of the Invincible had entered Ipsen's Castle.) Zidane: We'll need our weakest weapons. Dagger: We didn't bring them. Zidane: Alright, then we'll just fight without weapons. Exan: Is that wise? Zidane: Sure. That way, they don't stand a chance! (With bare hands as their weapon, Zidane, Dagger, Exan, and the others mop the floor with the oncoming bad guys.) * * * Lich: I know where to find the others. Kary: All that soul-searching really does pay off. Okay, where are they? Lich: Kraken resides in a lagoon long frozen over on some island. Tiamat sleeps in the sky among lesser beings of great speed. Both of these places are hard to access, but not impossible. Dracan will know the way. Kary: He has been on this world for some time. I wonder what else he'd been doing since our embarkment of eternity? Lich: He said something about creatures from other worlds and giant machines of great power. I forget exactly what he meant. I know all of your burdens, your pains... Let me make them...WORSE!
