Freya walked back to Shanya.
Freya:"I know the Regent pretty well. Wanna come to the festival at the castle?" Just then a loud voice echoes in the streets of Linblum. Voice:"All hunters. The hunt has ended. Return to the castle plaza for the festival. Games, dancing and lots of fun guaranteed. Also free ale." Especially the last comment made almost all the citizens of Linblum ran to the castle plaza. (OOC: Little ankward post. Sorry. I'm tired. It's over midnight by now. Well atleast soon.  )

Castle plaza When Zidane, Ray and the others arrived at the plaza Regent Cid himself wandered to search each and every one of them. Cid:"Zidane. Go to the conference room and wait me there. I have an urgent task for you" Soon... Cid:"Ah, the new champion. Go the conference room of the castle and I will give you your prize." Later... Cid:"Freya. Would you be so kind and go to the conference room. King of Burmecia and I have assigned you to a mission. And you need some help with this mission." Freya:"Help? Ok. I know just the right person." When Cid leaved Freya turned to Shanya. Freya:"Shanya. Let's go to conference room. I have a job for you. You can decide there whether you want it or not" At the coneference room. Cid:"Thanks to you all for coming. Allright here's the deal. You have all heard rumors of a large army gathering around Daguerreo. Well few weeks ago I sent three scout airships there and no one has returned. I want you to find out what has gone wrong and if the rumors about the army are true. It is needless to say that the safety of the Mist Continent is at question." Zidane:"But how will we get close that place." Cid:"You approach Daguerreo with Invincible. That is our most formidable airship. I don't force anyone to go on this mission. You can decide whether you want to come along or not." " There are no such things as good and evil. Preparations The next two days went on preparations. Invincible was loaded with Potions, Hi-Potions, Ethers, Elixirs etc. Also some area maps were taken to Invincible's bridge. When the sun set at the second day after preparations were started the Invincible left the Lindblum Grand Castle and headed for Daguerreo. In the conference room... Cid:"Now they have left." Prime Minister Artania:"Yes. Shall I contact Queen Garnet?" Cid:"Yes. If the rumors about the army are true then the treaty of Mist Alliance must be signed immediately. Umm. Which one of us will tell the queen that Zidane is also at this mission?" P.M Artania:"....." Cid:"....." " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view"  |

Armed and dangerous. (In Ray's knapsack, aboard the Invincible, he was looking over a few of his extra arms. They were kept fresh with magic, and could even be regenerated in time. Right now, Ray's arm was a normal prostetic, not a weapon at all. However, he had a few Mist Continent specials. The trouble was deciding which one he'd use next...) Ray: Decisions, decisions... (His sword, the Yamato Spirit, was still sheethed. He would never use it again, not as long as he lived. These arms of his were a testiment to his failure as a swordsman...) Lalalala... Shanya was skipping around the ship, whisteling happily. Just by looking at her, nobody would realize that she had been taught to use her entire body as a deadly weapon: she was just so...cheerful! Then, she walked up to Ray. "Hi! I don't think we've met. I'm Shanya! Nice to meetchya!" she said cheerfully, holding out her hand and smiling. Do you think you have what it takes to battle against the forces of darkness? Hehe OOC: Sure, Massacre, sure. IC>> Shanya looked at the knapsack, and being the natural curious girl that she was, asked about it. "What's with all those arms?" she asked. "Are they weapons or something? I use a combat claw, myself. See?" She took the Reapers Claw from her belt and showed it to Ray. The claws were well-named: they were curved like a scythe and obviously meant for clean cuts and kills, but Shanya really didn't seem the type who would be capable of killing... Do you think you have what it takes to battle against the forces of darkness? Are you strong enough to enter The Dark Dominion? You do? Then come and do battle! |

Heh heh heh... OOC: Oh yeah, I really have to 'hand' it to you.  IC> Ray: They are my weapons, yes. I lost my arm in a battle some time ago. Now I use other arms in combat. (He closes the knapsack and walks off to some place in the Invincible to get some sleep.) OOC: Actually, Gilnor, one of his arms will be, ah ha ha, a Gigan Toad's tongue!

The landing Eventually the Invincible arrived near the Daguerreo. Zidane who was piloting the ship. He ran out of the bridge and yelled to others. "Come here we are nearing Daguerreo now" Others ran to the bridge and what they saw was simply breathtaking. A large naval base had been built on eastern side of the island. Red Dragons flied over the Daguerreo itself which was heavily fortified. Dozens of warships were anchored at harbor and more were built all the time. Zidane:"I have a pretty good idea why the scouting ships didn't return." " There are no such things as good and evil. These things depends of our point of view" |

How to act... (Ray surveys the scene. It is very impressive i nthe military sense. He heads to the cockpit area and speaks to Zidane.) Ray: They will see us soon. Shall we infiltrate or... Zidane: Or what? Ray: It's just a thought. I heard this ship had a powerful weapon on board. If it still works, maybe we can cripple their navy and buy the Mist Continent some time. "I am the thing the Darkness fears." |

Cloudcover Zidane:"umm. They don't see us yet. We are stopped and hided in clouds. This ship is very hard to notice when it is not moving. Anyway. The weapon is a good idea but let's use that as a last resort. Let's infiltrate first and get more information and use the weapon later." Freya:"Invinciple also has the transportation ray we can use to get to the base. Let's pick an empty storagehouse and transport us there after nightfall." Zidane:"We can stay here hiding in the clouds and monitor the situation. Then let's infiltrate at night. That's a good plan. What do you think?" Zidane looked Ray and Shanya. |
