The library seemed like that no one had been there in years. All the books were covered in dust expect...few black covered ones. Lance took one and examined it's cover. Text "Book of Nightmare" was written on silver labels in the cover. Lance opened it, readed few paragraphs and whistled quietly.

Lance:"Jackpot! Quess what Zen. The beast we encountered last night was Nightmare. This book has the instructions of summoning Nightmare. Someone has used this recently."

Zen:"Does it tell's about it's weaknesses?"

Lance:"umm. I haven't found any yet. It gets its powers from the fear of it's enemies and magnifies them."

Zen:"So if we don't feel fear it can't harm us?"

Lance:"Maybe. A demon who lives in me doesn't feel fear. I could win the beast in that demon form."

Zen:"Why not fightning it then?"

Lance:"Because the demon is Chaos. I can't control it. You know the plague that killed almost the entire population of Dali?"

Zen:"Yes?"

Lance:"I or Chaos did it. I tried to stop a gang of raiders from destroying the village and morphed into Chaos. The demon killed the raiders and almost everyone in the village. The world things that it was a plague."

The white ghost flied from behind the statue to hover in front of Zen.

Ghost:"Thank you though this is only temporary. Next night the killer will hunt me and kill me again."

Lance:"It happens every night?"

Ghost:"Yes.. I feel the pain of my death every night the same time. It is the punishment the city's ruler gave me."

Zen:"How cruel."

Lance:"What have you done to deserve such a horrible punishment?"

Ghost:"I defied the city master. I had holy powers once. But they weren't enough. After losing my rod I couldn't defend myself anymore."

Zen:"Your rod?"

Ghost:"The Sunshine. The rod could create normal sunshine. It can kill almost everything in this city."

Lance:"Even Nightmare?"

Ghost:"Nightmare..." The ghost seemed horrified." Has the beast been summoned?"

Lance:"Yes."

Ghost:"The rod can't kill it but the sunshine will prevent the beast's fear attack."

Lance:"Really?....Listen...do you know where."

Lance never got the chance to finish the question, a bolt of darkness hit the light ghost and it vanished with a loud scream though it managed to whisper a word "klocktower" before dying again. Both Lance and Zen turned to look in the direction where the bolt came but didn't see anything.
